http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/forum/index.php/user/132060-thenathanns/ COD Zombies Beta thread for me. There was a bunch of stuff in there I hadn't read before.
-
Truly awful. Cannot be overstated.

Moon is great. I remember being awed by the scope of it when it first came out. It was the first map that felt like more than just a simple horde mode. It had weight. This thread is honestly the first time I've seen anyone say they didn't like it.

Welcome to the forum. If you can get me some Lagavulin on the cheap, let me know.

All of my leaderboard entries erased
swappingspit replied to swappingspit's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Sometime in the last week all my leaderboards were restored. Hadn't seen it mentioned anywhere, just happened to notice today. Good on 'em, I didn't think it was going to be possible. -
There really is nothing aside from the joke.

I wanted to provide video evidence for this strategy, as it is very in-depth and hard to follow at some points.

Hello to all , any one up for easter eggs ?
swappingspit replied to Chelseatilludie's topic in Introductions
Welcome. I'm up for it, but I'm not playing if Boom does. -
I'm paused on round 13, because I had to run to work. As far as I could tell, dig spots stopped appearing around round 7, possibly round 6. I'll have to go into theater later to count them and see exactly when the last spawns were. When I get home tonight I'll test out digging every site.
-
If you don't dig for say, the first 10 rounds, will every dig site have appeared by then, or is there a finite amount that can be dug on the map at one time?
-
Welcome. Now go outside, it's summer.

What if you take a turbine to the broken bridge and use it to light up the fireworks boxes on the ground? Maybe that will attract a denizen to jump into the lava below and it turns the river into a sea of all our hopes and dreams and fears. Maybe thats what the trichotomous system is.

The campaign as a decent story, but all it consists of is you walking down a hallway filled with enemies over and over. I got 9 days of time played into the game before something clicked in my head and I went: "Oh wait, I actually hate this game." I do like most of the on disc maps, which is the reason I bought the game. I like Extinction a lot, but I can't bring myself to buy DLC just for that.
-
Of course I think they would continue it. Why would they stop? With Extinction on Ghosts they made it clear Activision wants a third game mode. Is Treyarch going to make a new third game mode, that no one wants, or stick with zombies, which everyone wants?
-
Why no Die Rise? With 3 people you can camp on the roof until round 30 pretty easily. Let's see... Call of the Dead - you can run a train outside the lighthouse while the other two camp on that ledge overlooking you. Buried - everywhere. Mob of the Dead - everyone in the cafeteria holding a window and spamming the trap. Town - have two camp upstairs and one run downstairs in the bar. Those are a few particularly easy ones.

Is the PS4 going to be the new lead platform for CoD?
swappingspit replied to Lenne's topic in Research & Development
Initially my intention was to wait until the next zombies game to get a next-gen console, but the deal on the Xbox One/Titanfall bundle was too good to pass up. In 2 years if they were to switch up the deal and release DLC a month earlier on PS4, I would absolutely buy one for that fact alone. Additionally, I wonder how much of a factor the perceived price difference in the two systems is in PS4's superior sales. -
If anyone's old enough to remember when Counter Strike went from beta to the version 1 standalone they released in stores, you'll know this is a bad idea. If we're talking about a map pack to get every map in one place though, I'm for that.

Rounds 1-3: Shoot some bullets, knife a little, open the door the house, buy an MP5 and Jug. Rounds 4-10: Kill zombies, rack up more revives than rounds played. Round 11: Get 6-7 more revives in this round alone, go for a revive that I probably shouldn't have instead of just letting them bleed out, because hell, it's not like they're actually doing anything anyway and it almost seems like this guy is downing himself on purpose. He is, isn't he? What could be possibly looking at through that wall over there, and why is he firing a ray gun at his own feet? Oh god, that's it, I'm not reviving him anymore. Well OK, ONE more time. Go down. Game Over.

Undad's Zombies Christmas List - Future Zombies want/ideas
swappingspit replied to Undead's topic in Research & Development
In Extinction the team could all put money in to have a helicopter overhead. That would be a good way to add some sort of vehicle without drastically changing the gameplay. Sort of like a more powerful trap. I like the idea of zombies bursting out at you, or areas where you can't see without a flashlight, but I think the health system makes that tough. I can imagine how annoyed I'd be getting double slapped by a zombie I can't even see. -
The simplicity of the mode is what draws most people to it, and also what prevents it from being a viable standalone game.

Welcome, bud. If you have any pointers on starting a meth lab, let me know. I assume that's what chemistry classes teach you.

Likewise. I hardly use any of the box weapons on any other map. On Buried I go right to it and don't stop until I have a Mark II, Paralyzer, and time bombs. My biggest concern with someone else getting time bombs is not being able to use them to get double perks. I don't think I've had anyone use them to our detriment, but it certainly seems rare that people use them to our advantage.

Do you recall their gamertag? I'd love to look for myself.

The word theory doesn't necessarily mean an unproven idea. People like to use that to try and discredit evolution, saying "well, it IS only a theory, it's not proven. Says so right in the name!" It is proven though. Same with gravity. A theory is just an explanation for an idea or occurrence. All the evidence for that phenomenon is what constitutes the theory. As far as Mob goes, I would argue that regardless of what loop, dimension, or reality it takes place in, the chronological date of the map is still 1920whatever. The date in "Groundhog Day" was exactly the same for the 30 some-odd years he was stuck in that loop. And when he finally broke it, it was the next day, not 30 some-odd years later. As the Mob 4 are stuck in purgatory, the timeline does not advance, it's frozen in one place until the cycle is broken, at which point they begin their time in the afterlife the day after they were executed.
