Where are we Going decoded message to do with Origins??
Tasty Applesauce replied to Tasty Applesauce's topic in Origins
Loving all this brainstorming guys, thanks for all the input so far The whole big time loop idea is exactly what I was thinking might be going on here too but I have to wonder about the zombie eyes and the controller of them for this map. Before the actual Apocalypse trailer that showed the zombies having yellow eyes I thought it was going to be the same controller from Mob even further linking the two but it appears that may not be the case. Further pondering on the message and song.. if we let go of all we know and we do something drastic with these characters that changes the whole course of the future we could end the zombie infestation before it even really begins. This may even mean that our Original 4 characters may have to die at the end of this EE. It doesn't have to be that but if we are indeed going to be trying to break a cycle we're going to need to do something extremely drastic to change the events and dying would be that drastic change. "Let go" let them die, "and the beginning will become the end" we destroy(?) all remnants of 115 and evidence of it ever existing including ourselves as witness to the disaster. -
Locking the Box without letting it move gives bad weapons?
Tasty Applesauce posted a topic in Buried
I've been consistently noticing that when people rush to lock the box at the start of the game without letting it move that I have a lot better of a chance of pulling "bad weapon" from the box. I don't know if this is another downside besides the losing Firesale drops or just a small bug in the system or something but everyone in the game seems to be effected too. A good 80% (probably more actually) of the time it ends up handing out snipers, war machine, rpg, five seven and dual wield, and the shotguns, and for some reason the ballistic knife if someone doesn't have it already. You still occasionally get an assault rife, or a ray gun but actually trying to pull the time bombs and paralyzer without firesales alone can take a while but I find it to be near impossible in games where people do this. All four of us spent 15 rounds pouring points into the box, the other 3 spent about 10 grand on round 1 after they locked it to begin with as well and didn't have the time bombs until round 11, one of us finally had the mark II on 12 but none of us had the Paralyzer until round 15 lol. -
"Let go and the beginning will become the end" That was what the hidden message was in Mob of the Dead's hidden song. I think it actually would make more sense that it has to do with these characters and the current predicament we're facing rather than the Mob characters. Going even further I believe that the whole song "where are we going" is about the original four characters and "rusty cage" is quite obviously about the Mob. I believe they put this particular song in the map with these characters to get the idea out there and get us to make the connection that our original characters may actually be in a cycle of their own that they can break. This may or may not be further evidenced by Richtofin carrying two blood vials with those two very familiar numbers. Do I have any concrete evidence on any of this being 100% accurate? nope. This is kind of my own personal interpretation and theory that I've gathered by reading others' theories and informative topics and formulating my own from there. Feel free to let me know your own personal thoughts and interpretations on what that message could mean and if you think it may indeed tie to this map.

I like to get directly behind the people that camp in buried and continually knife them toward the zombies, usually doesn't work too well if there's a lot of people already in the spot actually killing the zombies though well placed trample steams are my favorite tool though. This thing was made for Grief. there's even a couple spots in the mine shafts where you can fling an unsuspecting victim to their death :P

CoD:Z's Official Persistent Upgrades List!
Tasty Applesauce replied to AlphaOmega's topic in General Zombies Discussion
try buying all 4 perks in round 1 just to be certain, also 1 of these perks MUST be Quick Revive, not sure how you lose it though, seems to be with you multiple games, however sometimes it wont work, dunno why, maybe sometin to do with QR unless they just hotfixed it in that isn't true. I NEVER buy quick revive as one of my 4 perks but I have it. -
The 1996 sign in Die Rise.
Tasty Applesauce replied to TheRealMistyBriarton's topic in General Zombies Discussion
It's very possible for it to be a nod to themselves, but that still doesn't mean the map doesn't take place in 2025 as there are other things that say other wise, as PINNAZ has shown in his post. :P -

Tasty Applesauce replied to TheRealMistyBriarton's topic in General Zombies Discussion
not to disprove you or anything because that actually makes sense but doesn't it seem a little odd they would be nodding to themselves? haha usually companies do it in recognition of other companies or successful franchises that they are fans of themselves that may have held inspiration of some form at some point. Like the Teddy Bear in Modern Warfare, that's a nod to Treyarch. -

Galva's are still two on 14 as well.. -
I'm happy because with it has brought all new experiences and I've enjoyed playing the maps and getting to know the new characters and just everything new they've brought to the table is awesome. But I dunno maybe I'm just selfish but I find myself wanting more. I feel like they've really teased us with this whole globe for a map select screen with barely anywhere to choose from and as much as they've added to the story its raised more questions than answers and feeling like I'd have to wait until Black Ops 3 or whatever their next Call of Duty involvement will be to play and discover more is kind of disappointing. If they give us the old maps though that would pretty much make up for it, I don't even need or really want my copy of Black Ops 1 anymore, the only reason I still have it is for all those zombie maps but its almost impossible nowadays to find a good match.

I agree the bank can spoil people but I find I have more positives to say about it than negatives. To actually have money in your bank to set up on round one means you've played zombies regularly before and just put those extra points away for a later time so its not like every single random has money every single game. Sure you can whore up a crap tonne and store them but you actually have to work for it to get that much in there in the first place so I see it as kind of a reward for later. Also it really helps with doing the EE's. Being able to get completely set up on round 1 and do as much as you can as early as possible is key and the bank and gun storage really helps us to accomplish this. The more hardcore players who've been here since the beginning may not like it because it takes some of the challenge away from them but the way I see it is it allows a lot more people to be able to take part in the EE's and actually have fun doing it. Being able to share points with people is a really nice touch too and that's been something I've always wished was possible since BO1. If you're sitting there with 50 grand having an awesome game while buddy on your team has 20 downs and is so pissed off that he's ready to leave because he just cant stay up or buy more perks just giving them a bit of money can go a long way .

What do you guys think of Origins at the moment?
Tasty Applesauce replied to Fluxanda's topic in Origins
I'm really frigging excited. Not only is it so soon after Vengeance, its before the school year starts so I can get it out of my system and not slack haha. The reveal trailer gave me goosebumps the likes of which I haven't felt since the Mob trailers, everything that I've seen just gives me a really good feeling. Its not an 8 player map and we don't have any of the old maps but this map just looks like top notch next level stuff, stuff I never imagined I'd get to see in zombies. -
whats your favorite map, and explain why?
Tasty Applesauce replied to Wingsofwar50's topic in General Zombies Discussion
My favorite from black ops 2 so far has to Mob of the Dead from the aesthetic of the map to the mysterious story sounding the four characters and a relatively fun EE. I still watch that "where are we Going" trailer for Mob every now and again and it gives me goosebumps. Just so well done. Buried has been the most fun and re-playable, but this map is troll heaven so sometimes its hard to not get pissed off playing with randoms, too many uber camping spots and invincibility glitches for people to take advantage of too and it just kind of kills the game I think when everyone in your lobby is only interested into going to some crazy high round by sitting in a corner shooting straight in front of you not moving except to get ammo for hours on end. -
Richtofen Actually Good? Maxis Evil
Tasty Applesauce replied to FatedTitan's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm not really sure either of them could be considered good, but I would consider him to be the lesser of two evils and would rather take his chaotic sadistic personality over Maxis' apparent lust for total annihilation and destruction. Maxis is the liar, the deceiver who see's people as nothing more than tools to help him carry out his goals. Probably the only other human he actually felt anything for was his daughter but she was taken from him so what is left? He's a genius sociopathic psycho who has taken advantage of every character that has ever given him the benefit of a doubt and completely turned it on them. First he gets's the O4 to nuke the Earth and now he has the N4 helping him gain control of the Aether, I think its really a showing of true colors with what he does to Richtofin. He subjects him to die over and over again in a body of rotting flesh, making him cease to exist or just killing him off for good would be too easy, Maxis wants not just Richtofin, but all of us to suffer. -

Right so I've tried it twice in solo, once in round 1, then I got in another game I got my 4th perk at the end of round 3. No green flash, went down lost all perks. On ps3. Any one wanna help ?!? I really have no clue on how this pu works. I can confirm that there is a melee pu. U knife just as fast as you would with a pistol even if you have a lmg. do you know how exactly you got it? I can't decide if its from killing zombies really fast with melee only like horde murdering or just killing a lot over a long period of time. -
Now that I think about it. We are all bunch zombie drama fans waiting for the season finale of zombies. If you think about it, Season 1 dlcs WaW. Season 2 dlcs Black Ops. Season 3 Black Op II dlcs. Season 4 Ghost??? I hope not. I just want this story to end, sure I like killing zombies and a damn well storyline to be hooked on. But you know that every good story needs an ending. Either that, we will see a good game turn into a dead franchise ruining our respects. "Die as a hero or live long enough to see yourself become a villain." I didn't think Treyarch was involved with Ghosts.. Infinity Ward doesn't do the zombies thing because they're not awesome.

whats your favorite map, and explain why?
Tasty Applesauce replied to Wingsofwar50's topic in General Zombies Discussion
This is really tough because I have like 3 number one maps but going way back to what first got me interested in doing Easter Eggs and learning the whole story behind zombies was Ascension. I didn't own WaW back in the day, I would just play zombies whenever I went over to a friend's house that did so I didn't REALLY get into zombies and fall head over heels until Black ops so I didn't really know much about the DLC maps for WaW or even that there was a story being told in zombies until Ascension. When I first found out that there were these crazy side quests in zombies that would get you not only an achievement but an in game reward I was like "WHAT?!" just completely blown away and stoked it try it and learn all I can. I pretty much ended up quitting my job back then because all I could think about or want to do was play zombies lol, my best friend used to like playing zombies split screen with me but I played zombies so much back then that I drove him to hate it because there would never be a time that he would come over that I wouldn't be playing it. I pretty much literally did nothing else for months on end. This map still to this day is just an overall fun map to play, its one of the easiest for sure but introducing Flopper and giving us a map that size to run around and discover things in was awesome. -

CoD:Z's Official Persistent Upgrades List!
Tasty Applesauce replied to AlphaOmega's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Ok, so for stamin up if I go ahead and get it tomorrow how do I make it view able for you? I'll do two separate videos, one of me obtaining it and one of me dodging and weaving through trains. I'm surprised you find this so hard to believe this is a pretty easy upgrade to attain. I pretty much always get it at the start of a game round 1 or two when I'm running around doing everything. As soon as I spawn in I take off and sprint nonstop to do everything. I start by ignoring the chalk, dropping right down and going through the mine shaft passage in he barn up to the saloon roof, jump over to the candy shop roof, turn on power. Spring over to the jail and let Leeroy out if no one has or is in the process of it yet. If no one has opened the bank up yet I sprint back up into the barn and through the mine to the saloon roof again and just jump over to the gunsmith roof instead of using points. Usually by this point I have already gotten the green flash because I've pretty much been a human dart running around everywhere doing everything. I really want to showcase in the second video though just how fast you are when you have the two stamin-ups stacking on each other because I've made it through some sticky situations that's I was in disbelief about. Its not that I don't believe that there is this PU. I just think you have it messed up with something else. Its very easy to get these pu mixed up. I thought I had one then I looked back and found out that it was something else. I just want proof so I can see if it could have been something else. I have gotten this "melee" upgrade before. Went to upload proof and actually found it was something else.... I know what you mean . the last time I thought I had the melee upgrade it was just iron barricades . The possibility of Stamin-Up being nothing more than something else has occurred to me but since I've found how to consistently get it and even lose it and I've had time to play around with it I don't think it can be anything else. -
I feel you bro. My leader boards have given me four losses and a taint now from migrating hosts on the other team/ the other team entirely quitting, and games just plain lagging everyone out and sending you back to the game lobby. Burrow was the only map I did (DID) have a perfect record on until this crap started happening, now lately I haven't been playing it even though I want to just because its gotten to the point now where its ridiculous. 1 out of every 4 games maybe doesn't have some sort of error or screw up .
-
To be perfectly honest I have only played buried with about 6 other people excluding turned/grief. So I haven't played with any randoms to hear any hoaxes. But the number one hoax is that the friendly AI's name is LEROY. This isn't a hoax, its not really his name but its just a funny nickname because its so fitting lol. Plus it rolls off the tongue a lot better than Huckleberry or "the Big Guy". Leeroy is the name he deserves. :P

I'm hoping its Mob style cinematic. The Die Rise and Buried cinematic were cool but I feel on a map this epic of a scale is deserves an epic intro. Isn't Avenged Sevenfold doing a song for the intro cinematic?
-
There's a very good chance you might have to do it again man. I had to for Tranzit because I had went through the exact problem you had, my tower wasn't lit in a new game or anything For Buried I'm not sure because we had a guy leave on the last step and we got another guy in to finish it and he had his icon change from orange to blue on the courthouse box but it didn't light up his map selection icon.

Mob of the Dead reference in the Origins trailer...
Tasty Applesauce replied to Rookie's topic in Origins
At first I was all stoked because I took it as Mob blatantly tying into the story and maybe Richtofin had collected blood samples to clone them or something but then I realized that this is the very first zombie map and it takes place before the Mob of the Dead characters were possibly even born and Alcatraz turned into a prison so how could that be? However, even though those particular characters aren't involved yet Treyarch probably wouldn't just throw those prisoner numbers in for no reason, there's certainly a reason behind it.
