    Icarus

Well Delta and I thought it connects the plane with the fact the plane flew too high, was zapped, and plummeted in a ball of fire towards the sea.

    Icarus

The Story of Icarus Credits: RequixEclipse (idea) vDeltaGamingv (linkage into the story) Hey guys Nai here with this theory, assisted by my good friends, RequixEclipse & vDeltaGamingv. Story (credit to RequixEclipse for writing this): Daedalus was a Athenian Craftsmen, a skilled Artisan, and Father of Icarus. In Crete this man created a Labyrinth. It was designed to hold a beast, a monster known as the Minotaur. Upon finishing this complex, Daedalus locked himself in a tower to prevent any knowledge of his design. No one knew the maze or what lurked in its shadows. How to escape or even enter was unknown. King Minos over watched the seas of Crete. Every ship was to be searched at all times. Land was under his control as well. Daedalus looks toward the Heavens. there was no other options... He begins to construct a method of aerial traversal. A set of bird like wings for both him and his son Icarus. Daedalus secured feathers smallest to largest by pouring wax over the string holding them in place. Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly too low, because the foam from the sea would soak the feathers and destroy his craft. Also warning him not to fly too high or else rays from the sun would melt the wax. Soaring upward after passing Samos, Delos, and Lebynthos. Icarus elevates toward the inferno sun and plummets into the murky sea below. Daedalus cries watching as his son drowns and blames himself. Daedalus believes his creation destroyed his finest artwork. His first son.. A piece of land next to the site where Icarus died was named Icaria. It was in memory to a young boy known as Icarus. Now you may be thinking "Nai, how on Earth does this tie in to our story?" While playing with Requix the other night, we got this quote (or something along the lines of it) while riding the plane to the bridge: This seems to tell us that our plane has a name: The Icarus This begins to give us evidence towards the map tying into the story of Icarus and the Labyrinth. I have gathered (with the help of Delta) a comparison to the characters of Ferguson: King Minos. He kept our players captive in the prison and enforced the rules upon them. Finn: Daedalus. Ferguson asks Finn for the "scores" similar to Minos asking Daedalus for his latest invention. Weasel: Icarus. Weasel fakes injured to escape, while Icarus faked illness to gather supplies for his father. Brutus: Brutus is the Minotaur, hunting everybody down, using his abilities as a monster to his advantage. Billy: Prince Theseus. Not going to let anyone (or anything for that matter) stop him. Ready to go to extremes. Sal: Can't think of anything for him. Need help. The Map itself seems to be a Labyrinth type structure. Mob if the Dead ties in with Greek Mythology, in many ways. We have Cerberus, the Icarus, Brutus the Minotaur , and our characters linking up with the myth's characters. And so ends this post. PS: I'm writing this late at night and the only reason I haven't gone to sleep yet is I don't want to lose progress, so sorry if it is a bit hard to follow :?
  3. I personally found the Side Mission on this map to be the easiest to date. Anytime you make it past round 20, why not do it? I've done it at least 8 times, twice in split-screen. It doesn't even take long. Have 2 guys do the skulls they are closest to, get 1 guy to do the spoons and the other to fuel up the plane/keep a zombie. If you have players who have Afterlife tokens, complete almost it all in one round. Then, start the next round with everyone committing suicide at the box in the Infirmary. Head straight for the plane and go to the Bridge. Kill/get-killed-by Weasel and BOOM. Achievement Unlocked!
  4. There's one Side Mission, which is Breaking the Cycle. He was talking in the past tense, so the multiple Side Missions would be Activating the Spire, Tower of Babble, Richtofen's Grande Scheme, Eclipse, Original Characters Trapped, Casimir Mechanism, and Fly Trap. Now those other things, like flying the plane, you can call those quests if you'd like. It does say Quest Items
  5. Hey guys it's Nai here with a step-by-step guide on how to obtain the upgraded version of the Hell's Retriever, the Hell's Redeemer! Step 1: Satisfy the Bloodlust To accomplish the first step, you have to feed 6 zombies to each of the three heads of Cerberus. The heads are located at the Docks, in the Infirmary, and the Cell Block. NOTE: Each zombie must be fed one at a time. Killing multiple zombies in quick succession will cause only a single zombie to be consumed. Wait until Cerberus has finished chewing before you kill the next one. Step 2: Collect the Hell's Retriever In the Citadel Tunnels, directly across from the Shower entrance, there are three symbols of a demon head. If all three are glowing, the panel of wall should be missing. Enter the room of summoning, and collect the Hell's Retriever. Step 2b: Kill 30-40 zombies with the Retriever BEFORE going to the bridge Once this step has been completed, you will hear a sound similar to the sound of going into Afterlife. This step has never been confirmed. Probably do this to be safe, but I don't think it is needed. I will include it anyway to satisfy certain members of our community. Step 3: Constructing the Plane and travelling to the Bridge For our third step, we must collect the 5 parts of the Plane and construct it on the Roof. Once build, all players should jump on and take a journey to the Golden Gate Bridge! Step 4: Charging the Retriever on the Bridge Now, we need to charge our Retriever. To do this, kill 30 zombies on the bridge with just the Retriever. Once this is done, you will hear another Afterlife sound. Once you hear this cue, use the Electric Chairs to travel back to the island. If you do not hear the sound, stay another round. Keep in mind that you cannot shoot or you may risk your chance at getting the Redeemer for that trip. Step 5: Sending the Retriever back to Hell Go to the dog location in the Cell Block. Throw the Retriever into the pit underneath the floor. You can get a clear view of the area from one of the two railed areas in the room. If done correctly, the Retriever's icon should keep flashing, but not come back. Step 6: Obtaining Hell's Redeemer First, start the next round. This should cause the the Hell's Retriever to disappear and the light surrounding it to turn blue. Enter Afterlife mode and head over to the light: there should be something new in there: The Hell's Redeemer. Hold the USE button to pick it up, and head back and revive yourself. You should now have the Hell's Redeemer, an upgraded version of the Hell's Retriever. The Redeemer is a 1-hit for infinite rounds. It is the ultimate High Round weapon. ~Nai
  6. Ah. I understand now. That makes sense. Update OP with that info and you'll be (wait for it...) Golden (Gate Bridge, see what I did there?) ;)
  7. Bravo Tak! Very solid theory. The only problem I have is "How does the cycle continue?" Do you have to escape in 3 consecutive games? Or is it visit the Golden Gate Bridge 3 times? But good job on the theory Tak.
  8. I bet his friend just told him that.. He probably didn't see it for himself. Edit: I have an idea to how to get it. What if you bought all the wall guns in a single game. See if that works. Which would be Olympia, M14, M16 or Colt, B23R, MP5, Remmington, and AK74u. SVU-AS, AN-94 (that's wrong), PDW-57, and if we include tacticals, semtex, Bowie, Galvas, Claymores. He was talking about TranZit, since this whole thread revolves around his friend "experiencing" Mule Kick on TranZit...
  9. Great job on the video man! It really goes in deep into the trailer and analyses every detail. You did well, and earned another sub (better sub back jks )!
  10. There was no "proof". Somebody tried to fake that they worked for Treyarch and released a whole ton of false information about the map. With the next trailer, all their information was confirmed to be fake.
  11. Here are some pictures from the actual map: A player entering a secret room only accessible by accessing Purgatory, with a Volts Meter showing the amount of voltage contained in something Our new Above-Average Weapon: The Blundergat! Upgradeable by a means unknown to us ATM. Seems to fire out Burst Needles of an acidic substance (similar to the Acid Trap) that destroys Zombies quickly The new perk: Electric Cherry! Priced at a reasonable 2000 points, it causes an explosion of electricity around you, which will hopefully scale with the rounds. Paired with Speed Cola & Double Tap 2, this would be a deadly combination The new Acid Trap! One of two known traps on the map. It rains down a shower of acid onto the heads of the zombies below The second of the two confirmed traps on this map, the Fan Trap! It attacks the zombies by spinning two HUGE fan blades at their heads. Going prone, you can escape underneath the trap without being shredded! Thats enough for now, but if you want any further info, try looking around in the many Trailer breakdown threads on here! ~Nai
  12. Great job Requix! Very well thought out, and amazing find! This could give us even more hints at a possible time for MotD to occur! Great work.
  13. I have to say it. There is no such thing as the Avogadro. It was never leaked on the actual Xbox Live site. People were told it was, but then how come when we looked it wasn't there? That's because it was leaked from a 3rd-party site. Also, when we enter PURGATORY mode we become ethereal ghosts, who are able to have some influence on the outside world by channeling our energy into machines and moving zombies. We will never be able to be "Him". He was the aftereffect of nuclear experiments on creating an infinite power source, drawing it's power from the Atmosphere. Even though we may be similar, we will never be able to be like "Him"
  14. So hello guys, its Nai here with some stuff you may have missed from the recent Mob of the Dead Behind the Scenes Trailer which aired during the Call of Duty Championships. To start it off, there is this little thing I picked up at 0:46. It sounds like the "Game Over" sound (the heavy footsteps and cells closing/opening) from Die Rise. Just a little clue. No real importance ATM. Skipping ahead to 1:40, we see a few little things to point out: In the centre of this image we see a roof with what looks to be a ramp heading off towards that sole piece of the Golden Gate Bridge. This seems to be where we will use the plane we will be assembling (as proved by the Escape Plan). We also see a large Water Tower to the right of the image. If we will be powering a Spire this map, this will probably be the one. Or the Lighthouse, featured on the far left of the island. If we move on another 3 seconds (1:43) we get a scene change to THIS image: This is what looks to be a dock. The first thing of interest in this image is the crane in the back. It seems to be carrying a load of cargo, with a dead body hanging off the bottom. Next thing of interest is the overturned wooden boats. This indicates an attempt for escape by more than one party. There is also a load of random stuff on the dock. Maybe parts for a buildable? Heading along to 2:13, we see the Escape Plan I mentioned before: Not too much to dissect here that hasn't been covered before, except for something hidden on the side: "PANIC AS STOCKS CRASH". Now I think refers to the panic that usually surrounds an apocalypse. Nothing else here. Next to 2:37. Here we have the (assumedly) Electric Chairs scene. A few things here. Who is this mysterious man? A pre-apocalypse Warden maybe? Now to the Suicide Chairs. Look at the spikes on those things. They definitely look dangerous... Also there are creepy candles and 4 dead men hanging upside down on the sign. This is all I will cover tonight. I will update this thread tomorrow when I am less tired with the rest of the trailer dissected. ~Nai
  15. Well, this theory works except for the whole Red Eyes thing. I have a feeling the "MAX AMMO!" thing was just a placeholder not to give too much away!

    Concern

I think Flam is right. If we have Purgatory tokens with us when we go down, if we retrieve ourselves there will be no penalty
  17. First of all, there is no such thing as the Avogadro. He is a name people found by looking at LEAKED achievements, similar to T.E.D.D. It's correct name is "Him". Secondly, I assume you have forgotten this scene: The background for this image is NOT that of Alcatraz Island. There are theories floating around about this being on the Golden Gate Bridge, and I believe these to be correct. Evidence (credit to vDeltaGamingv for the pic): This is a ramp on the roof which seems to be facing that little piece of bridge still standing. We can assume we will fly to the bridge and thats it. ~Nai
  18. I agree with you here. Even if we make it off the island, we will not be able to complete the map. The sign above the chairs reveals it all: "NO ONE ESCAPES ALCATRAZ" So sadly, no escaping for us.
  19. Great work Bagel! You did well finding this and piecing it togther!
  20. Okay so everybody knows we start off the map in Purgatory Mode, and we have to revive our character to start the map off. In the Behind the Scenes trailer we see at least two characters lying on the ground. What if all four are there, and you get to revive your character of choice?
  21. Song about the O4? Makes sense...
  22. 8 days... 8 is the number...
  23. Yea, You said via a hidden room during Purgatory & I responded with one of the portals. Basically just agreeing w/ you. I was agreeing too, just stating a fact :)
  24. Easter Egg anyone? But the voice did have more of a rasp than the normal Samantha voice...
  25. Or you have to Unlock it by entering one of those Portals that they show. I think the portals are hidden in the walls... We see one of them in the trailer, where he goes in to the little room and charges the meter...
