  1. Foreword Hello CoDz, Nai here with the first of a few theories I'll be going into over the first few weeks of Off-Time. I'll be titling these similar to the title of this one, so be on the look-out! These theories will be about how the mechanics of the games work. This theory will be on the inner workings of the Pack-a-Punch, a machine we all think we know so well, but do not at all! The Pack-a-Punch Machine The Pack-a-Punch machine. A machine of different designs, which somehow infuses our weapons with Element 115 to give them that extra punch we need to mow down a horde of the undead. We are all familiar with it, but do we know how it really works? In Origins, it is revealed that using Element 115, a hole can be torn in the fabric of space and time and allow objects to move freely through. I believe this to be how the Pack-a-Punch works. When we place our weapon inside the machine, it is sent back to it's original place, until it is called upon again (say by receiving it again from the Mystery Box). This would explain the reason we can seem to have an unlimited amount of the same weapon. When the weapon is placed in the machine, a rift opens and the weapon is sent back to it's point of origin, while the upgraded version (from a place where the items began that way) are sent in to replace it. The concentration of 115 in the PaP allows the weapon to be "upgraded" but it never is. The weapon is simply replaced with a stronger version. End Thanks very much for taking the time to read this, and please let me know what you think of this theory! ~Naitrax
  2. Guys, the Sekhmet's Vigour is an instakill weapon forever. It has no penetration/chaining whatsoever, but it can be used to 2 shot a Panzer. I hate how overlooked this weapon is. I made a video about it and it got 1000 views, but no-one knew what it was or what it did until they watched it. But seriously. It will ALWAYS kill a zombie if it hits.
  3. Updated with 83457's contributions Holy poo.
  4. Die Rise: Buried: Origins: TranZit: Mob of the Dead: Nuketown: Mannequin: Bear: There's all of the Black Ops 2 ones (bar the MotD Number Panel and the Shepherd of Fire radios) EDIT: Got the BO ones! Kino Der Toten: Call of the Dead: Shangri-La: Hope these helped!
  5. Nice work! Any way I can help? Also, feel free to use my analysis for Not Ready To Die (hint hint): viewtopic.php?f=149&t=32790
  6. Nope. Place the Staff of Fire in its pedestal in the Ruins, then go right over to the place where you originally constructed it, and you will be able to pick it up. Run over to the pedestal and place. Rinse and repeat. You will hear a noise when it's all done.

    Shovel Guide

I have something to report, sorry if this has been mentioned earlier: The actual minimum to get the Golden Helm is 1 dig after the Golden Shovel. I literally had this happen today.
  8. I agree with everything you said, except for this. I actually think the opposite about the guns. Black Ops 1 introduced weapons that acquired awesome and unique uses once pack-a-punched, such as the ballistic knife or crossbow. Nearly all Black Ops 2 guns that are PaP'd get a damage boost and an extended clip, and thats it. Its kind of boring, in my opinion. As for the perks, I do enjoy some of the news ones, but not all. I believe Quick Revive replacements such as Who's Who and Tombstone affect gameplay too much. I liked Vulture Aid and Electric Cherry, although Vulture can have a pretty drastic change on gameplay as well. Overall I like the perks, but not the weapons. And that's my two cents I have to agree with Twirp. I loved the gimmicks on the PaP'ed weapons! I wish BO2 had some cool stuff like that!
  9. I think those are the original staffs, and them being taken is why Maxis had to make replicas of them. Yeah. These are the guys who are the statues in the Staff Chamber.
  10. Hey Nai, would you know the file name for Mob's jumpscare? Don't see any dog resemblance in this one. Odd name. MotD's is called "zm_al_wth_zombie_c"
  11. Paladin MP camo. For some reason the camo's are contained within the Zombies DLC. Treyarch logic.
  12. Awesome job MMX! That's amazing! We get a clear picture this time! What could this mean? These were the "first" heroes of Agartha? They have the same symbols on their cloaks that the Agarthan Zombies do... Also: I find it hilarious that out of the 4 Staves there, only the Lightning (Kimat's Bite) and the Fire (Kagutsuchi's Blood) are upgraded. Wind and Ice are left out of the Upgraded fun!
  13. I like milk.
  14. This could be an alternate reality where Samantha's mother was American, and she was bought up in America. This would also explain Eddie having an American accent...
  15. Thank you GK! Hmm, there are two ways I can work this in: Samantha is the sickness. The more she controls, the more power she has. Also, after thousands of years imprisoned in Agartha, she wanted to have a little fun, seeing how the world has changed through people's eyes. OR: She burrowed into the minds of the German squad who unleashed the Templar horde, therefore unleashing the sickness.
  16. Before I begin, I want to say that this is in no way affiliated with AlphaSnake's thread, "Who is Samantha?". Any similarities are purely coincidental. The Ancient Evil. The thing that caused the events of Origins. Imprisoned within the Mound. First mentioned in Richtofen's final Journal Entry: But what is this Ancient Evil? The answer is simple, yet complex. Samantha. How? Easily: When the mound was discovered, something was unleashed which ravaged the German camp and caused Maxis to become sick. This something (Samantha) chipped away at people's consciences and broke down their mental walls. From there, she broke them from the inside. This tactic is used on our characters while they are in Zombie Blood. Maxis was the prime target. Samantha would attack him day and night, claiming to be his daughter. She finally managed to break Maxis's mental barriers, and she made him sick. Richtofen managed to save what was left of his mind. Maxis' brain was placed in a fluid to preserve it, where Samantha could no longer influence him. But how is this possible? How could Samantha be controlling the events of Origins from Agartha? Samantha is trapped in Agartha. The gateway to Agartha lies above the Mound. Every time we "purify*" a Key, it is launched into Agartha, to give Samantha more control over this realm. * The process of "Securing the Keys" is just purifying the corrupt orbs. Sending them into Agartha at the end of each process passes them through a large purification mechanism (the rings) Mob of the Dead-esqe story part: Samantha is the Ancient Evil. Maxis never built the Staves. He constructed pieces, but they were scattered by him when Samantha broke him. Samantha broke everyone. We all fell down into her spiral of trickery.
  17. The path it rides. I updated it with more information.

  21. Last night I reuploaded all the files as .zips, you can find them here: https://mega.co.nz/#F!6lIWDSRA!SFLngBG9W5tyNpe3RayHpg Hope they work! If you have any problems, contact me or post it here (preferably the latter) Could a Mod please move this to General Zombies? ~Nai
  22. Uploading all the Map's textures as .zips. Hope this works. Will edit OP when I get up and they are done.
  23. Thank you! Yeah! Stupid JPGs. I can post the other maps too. I'll work on that tonight, and it should be up by tomorrow.
  24. It opens in Nero PhotoSnap Viewer for me. If you cant find any free way to open a DDS file, use a free image converter called x2y: http://x2y.sourceforge.net Convert all the ones you want to a file you can read eg. .jpg Hope this helps!
  25. NOTE: If this infringes ANY copyright, PM me and I will have it taken down immediately. I have uploaded ALL the textures from Black Ops 2 Zombies to MEGA. I unloaded them from their .iPak files using Tom-BMX's .iPak extractor. Here is the folder with all the .zips in it: https://mega.co.nz/#F!6lIWDSRA!SFLngBG9W5tyNpe3RayHpg ~Nai PS: I'm new to this kind of thing.
