Okay, last night while going to sleep, I was listening to the Easter Egg Songs, and Abracadavre came on. While listening to the lyrics, a thought came to me. Here it is: Treyarch told us about this ending years ago (literally 2 years ago). However, they did not directly reveal it (when has Treyarch EVER done that). Here are the lyrics (read with the Origins ending in mind): Okay. So if that didn't convince you, then look at this. The main bits we are looking for are the bits regarding "In My Head". I would like to draw your attention to these lines in particular: I believe these lines to be the key point of this song. They mean that the story is just inside her head, but it is affecting her in ways she wished it wouldn't. Thank you for reading this thread.

Hey guys, Nai here. Sorry about lack of posts since Origins' release; I've been too busy playing it! Anyway, I'd like to share a theory I've come up with after someone told me they though the ending was rushed. It clicked in the back of my head and I think now is the time to share it. Many know of a group called PlayTheGame, who got information from a Treyarch employee about the maps for Black Ops 2 and leaked them to the public. This earned them many views and subscribers and, therefore, money. Most of these "predictions" (as they called them) were dead on. This gained them even more fame and fortune. Recently, they made huge predictions about the final map (Origins) and many people believed them. However, the majority of these were not true. The reason behind this (well, my theory) is that Treyarch changed their ideas because of PlayTheGame's leaks. They couldn't have another company getting rich over some leaks.

Just wanted to let you know something. Now I don't know whether this works differently while there are more Staves being upgraded, but you can kill Zombies anywhere in the Crazy Place and it will still charge the staff. Was playing Solo and just got downed before getting the Ultimate Staff and then I got downed by the explosion after I killed a Panzer. I was mad

"Shepherd of Fire" can be made to play by holding use on the three red radios scattered throughout the map. Locations: 1. Inside Freya's head (The robot near the Church) 2. Inside the Crazy Place (not sure which entrance it is closest to) 3. Underneath the Excavation Site.

Sadly yes. This is the reason you hear people saying: "How is this not full yet? I killed like 40 Zombies near it!" The way to tell if it has been reset is by looking at the patterns on the box. If they are lit up, then it is not reset. Or if you come back and the box is closed when it was previously opened that signifies that it has been crushed by the giant. Not necessarily. It just means the map has reloaded (ie. via all entering the Crazy Place). The patterns are the only way to tell for certain.

You can always tell of his arrival by listening out for a siren just after the round begins. The amount of times this siren is repeated is how many of him will spawn. The absolute EASIEST way I have found do destroy him is by using the Staff of Lightning. It takes about 6 shots to decimate him on round 20. Also, a tip if you do not want to fight this guy: Start every round possible in the Crazy Place. As long as everyone is in there, he will not spawn outside (and he can't spawn inside anyway) I've never had the Ray Gun Mark 2 on Origins before so I do not know it's effectiveness.

Even on the dashboard, it has taken me over half an hour to get to 10%. Go die internet.

My Mbps right now is 0.56mbps. How is this going to work???

I would kill for that speed. Literally. Be wary.

Yeah, that is true, but there's not actually anything you could do to an alternate timeline you aren't apart of. Someone with dimensional-travelling capabilities could go and try and live their life over in another dimension. Originally, this could have been his goal - To travel dimensions and usurp Maxis and win WWII.

Placing a part of himself in the Aether is to forever hold his spot there. But that's not what I meant by that creating an alternate timeline. The whole fact that he is in the Aether creates an alternate timeline where nobody stops him. Why does Richtofen care? Because what happens when he runs out of survivors/zombies? One of those two things will happen. He can't just create new humans. So, in another reality where he is still in control, he still holds an element of power. He could switch realities and take survivors/zombies from there. Why not stay in that reality? Because for two of the same being to exist in a single dimension begins to tear into the fabric of time and space. This is where Mob of the Dead takes place. By using this theory, it ties Mob of the Dead into the storyline.

Samantha's Story - How It REALLY Began As you may know, I believe Origins to be set in an Alternate Reality. But if it wasn't, then I have an extremely out there theory regarding Samantha, and her Origins. My name is Samantha, and I am going to tell you how this all REALLY began... What if Origins ISNT set in an alternate reality? There is an ancient evil buried within the temple. When the Germans released it, the sheer amounts of the Element in the temple walls acted as a catalyst, and the being was able to swap souls with Samantha without using the M.P.D's process. This being trapped Samantha in it's tomb and took control of the Zombies, causing the purple eyes. The being roots itself in the Aether, commanding a portion of it's soul to control a region of the Aether forever. This affects the rest of our timeline (due to this being a prequel) and disrupts the balance of power, creating an alternate timeline. Slowly, this being becomes corrupt, and the shade of blue in it's eyes begins to fade (due to a Richtofen-less existence) creating a deep red. This is the timeline Mob of the Dead takes place in. To set things right, Richtofen commands us to free Samantha from her prison, due to him having the knowledge that he will never gain power in the Alternate Future if we fail. This is why Samantha warns us of the ancient evil present in the Aether. Samantha has had a run-in with the being before, knowing its power. But she does not remember Richtofen. At least consciously. This is the reason for the messages scrawled on the wall in Der Riese. She refers to the man with immense power who saved her as Teddy, leading to her fascination with teddy bears, but she also fears him. She fears he has lied to her. After being usurped of the Ethereal Throne (my name for the position in the M.P.D), she realises who Edward Richtofen really is, leading to her sharing her story of how it all REALLY began. With who? Only time will tell. Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Just wanted to let everyone know about the MLG livestream where they are going to be showing off Apocalypse. There will be gameplay of the MP maps but also Origins gameplay. It will be happening at 8:00 am AEST, or 6:00 pm ET It can be found here: http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/?stream=black_ops_ii Also, I think MLG just confirmed there will be more than one gametype in this zombies map. Look: LINK At the bottom, it says What could this mean?
-
It's definitely going to be gameplay. It's hosted by MLG after all! And intresting point out Flammen.
-
Updated OP with more information and a video of the intro.

We were. In the poster. Right here (kinda hard to see but there none the less):
-
Slight mistake on your behalf. For some reason you have "sinful choices" instead of "simple choices" But I honestly don't think this could come from Edward. It's too much about remorse. And aiding the weak. If Richtofen was the teller, the entire song would be: "AH WUNDERBAR YOU DELIVERED THE PART KILL THE WEAKLINGS AND EAT TART"
-
please explain why the zombies have blue eyes if Richthofen
Naitrax replied to R102609's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Because Richtofen has blue eyes. -
With the release of Hail to the King Deluxe Version today in Australia, I have managed to procure the official lyrics to the song. I am updating the OP with them now. Here is an image from the Booklet:
-
Obviously thats the case. I wasnt saying it wasnt. But if Treyarch made a point to mention it NOW, then I think this is alternate to that.
-
Then why have they never mentioned that before?
-
I just want to clear something up about what is going on in Origins. Origins IS set in an alternate reality. Treyarch have 100000% confirmed that. Look here: That can be found right here, ON THE BLACK OPS 2 WEBSITE: http://www.callofduty.com/blackops2/dlc/dlc4-apocalypse Why is this important? Because this is the explanation to the age argument. In this reality, events have played out differently to the one we are used to. The Element was discovered much earlier, and the characters were born earlier. Some (or none) of our Zombies maps will not occur in this reality. Just wanted to clear that up.
