  1. I've had this problem as well. My experience was nuketown and it happened over and over to everyone the entire game (25 rounds 3 of us with monkeys from firesale). Gave me atleast 3 downs from the glitch but the next game the monkeys were working fine. If you watch the entire video you see his first monkey is near a lava crack, but not in it. It may have possibly bounced and "touched" the lava deactivating it (little puff of smoke comes out the top). The second monkey is clearly not touching the lava crack. When he throws it, it does bounce near a lava crack but it hits the ground away from it which shouldn't count (still gives the puff of smoke though on the 2nd one, not sure if this is a natural thing). 3rd monkey looks like it went off but you can barely tell from a little flashing white light on the screen as he's taken dieing. I've heard several others on playing random of people having monkey problems. This has been on Die Rise and all maps so I don't think its just a lava/green run situation.
  2. If your playing custom there's no need to kill yourself, deposit money and end the round then quit. Your kills and money save and you don't get the down or death. Also for point strategy on round 1 you can shoot a zombie 6 times in the belly then knife (with no lava damage to zombies). 2nd round 8+ shots to the belly but I usually just use a clip since by round 2 you'll be out of ammo with this strategy.
  3. What your seeing is the Die Rise Navcard. Few instances include them showing up on tranzit if you play with those who have done Die Rise. This is an old pic I took that should show what your talking about. Did you by chance have someone drop or receive it after a death? This is the most often occurrence that I've seen it but at other times I've had it at the start of the game.
  4. Loved it, A+ lol. One things missing that would help out though, element 115. Has anyone done a full work up on the 115? I highly doubt that it hasn't been done but "element 115" pulls up pages of posts and that's only the general zombies thread. Being as your posting about physiology which deals with chemical as well as physical processes it would be extremely enlightening to see this side. This could have to do with there energy source and of course the actual way of them being controlled. The more I type about this the more I think of the element 115 and its many uses like teleportation, reanimation, and what possible connection to the "Aether", souls, and the link of consciousness control through the element itself in subjects. From what I've vaguely read the box also has a connection with the person controlling the zombies? Either way that depth goes beyond the title of the thread but thought I would rant about it while I was thinking about it ;)
  5. You have to remember word play is something the zombie creators love to do as obvious from even there tweets. I think the breakdown of the meaning and possible combinations of theories would be a great idea. My only wish is if the english versions you have had a little more depth to them besides whats been posted. Why is each map named the way it is? What link does the name have with the actual map and how it ties into it. Obvious answers like Moon would be the fact its on the moon but you could expand by why the location is the moon(storyline) or with Ascension the actual dictionary term and why its been labeled as such. A lot of it would be a repeat of things already posted but atleast anyone visiting this thread would be a little more informed then they were before. Even if it is just a recap.
  6. Either one can be tricky and luck plays a lot in it. Maxis is the least costly (no perks, only one person needed with emps) but richtofen is safest (jug, can be done earlier then maxis unless you have timing down to spawn Avogadro). I suggest though if your using emps you have someone else countdown because there is a chat delay that can cause the timing to be off for richtofens side.
  7. Completing Maxis will change your lights from red to blue. You receive both colors when two people with opposite sides done play the same game. To get your blue lights back just simply do Richtofen side again on the next game and it will become blue again
  8. Lights flicker after the jetgun part so automatically it would still look the same. If your tower is blue in game then it won't work as its already been done and would have to be redone. Alternatives would be to have him start a custom game and then you join after round 1 starts and you'll be good to go. Assuming you have heard his voice the entire time up to the point your having problems with, here are a couple of helpful hints that may help. Don't knuckle unless cornered or life threatening situation. Use explosives, most effective but not necessary, the goal is release element 115 (knuckles negate this) Have only your voices sound turned on to hear instructions. Very dangerous if you use screams to pinpoint zombies tactically. Make sure the zombies are fully under the towers legs before killing, required for the tower to absorb the element. If all else fails just do it yourself, have others running around the map and train the zombies under the tower. Some games might just be glitches out, it happens. Once had a game where for 15 rounds no storm to spawn the Avogadro, one person dies and quits and immediately it starts storming. Just need to kick the machine once in a while if the music starts skipping ;)
  9. I think you should add the postcards even if there just outdated pics from the before apocalypse reign, not only just to have them together but also after nuke town on the die rise you see what looks to be the depot postcard underneath ontop of nuke town showing the release order I presume. Edit: its the postcard upside down that we can see, here is the image by itself and here it is upside down turned around like its shown
  10. No clue why you just ranted on this post, I've never had problems linking images and if you have a suggestion it would probably be better suited as a pm or in its right section. I believe he was referring to the comic book pages being out of order because of what you can see behind the pages being viewed. Looking at the pics behind the current page shows some in order and others not. We all know the time line is jumpy, maybe this is another way they've shown the storyline. Edit: looking at moon I couldn't see the upper left section of shangri-la where it juts out below the missing piece, this could've just been a missight on there part
  11. I've only been able to get the rays to go to the box location if an orb has been hit but not once its been moved to another location and received another orb have I gotten it to go back to that location. To be honest though the rays appear at random intervals that I cant pin point down while sighting and I definitely could've missed rays. If this is true then it concurs with previous theories made about needing to activate an orb at each box location for some type of effect (if activating an orb activates a tower ray and then you can get one at each location then it's easy to conclude one ray in particular needs aligned or all must be activated) I'm going to look into the cafe in a moment but I'm pretty confident as well looking at all the angled ray pictures that it is indeed behind the bank and hopefully at the source you described. The character question I feel has a 50/50 catch to it. I agree that all characters can see orbs and rays. My question that erks me is has Treyarch taken the formula of "character specific driven" story lines and incorporated it into there "Easter Eggs". We can see from one example of Stuhlinger being the only one able to hear richtofen's voice, meaning if you don't have him its damn near impossible to do it. This then can branch into any tiny coding of the game as in possible certain characters needing to activate certain box orbs etc etc. The laundrymat door has to have more to it in my opinion. The process of sighting the door to activate the rays is annoying and unreliable. It would be near impossible to visually be able to see everything and keep sighting unless you just spend hours doing it, even then the rays from the tower can only be "estimated" at there trajectory instead of actually being able to be investigated on foot. If anyone has seen or tried different ways to activate it (buildables? explosives? Avogadro, etc) then please let me know. I've had orbs in solo and 2 players so I know its not 100% with needing 4 players. I'm not sure if no one has done an EE though, could be the problem with some PS3 players with not seeing the ray if they haven't activated the tower. Also I know the power doesn't have to be on but is usually seen after the power is turned on if you ride the bus. I have taken the shortcut to town first and the orb will be there before turning on power. I'll try to also recreate making the orbs appear in the box and seeing if that has an effect on the pylon. Are you stating that activating a box orb activated an orb on the tower that wasn't previously there? Where was this new orb that appeared at, as you know there are 6 powerline arms and of course the top of the pylon.
  12. Those are some amazing pictures you posted and they will be updated as well. the lightning strike is actually very useful, i believe ive started it (sometimes the door will cause a flash of light, this flash of light is the same color as your lightning, which could mean you have stumbled upon another activation). Two orbs in one game would be very interesting and I wish I would've been able to be there to test out some things. Do you remember what characters you were? What was the color of the tower? Have you recently completed the Tower of Babble? And how full was your bank at the time? Just a couple of questions to try and pinpoint a few things down. Also a lot of the times theres a lot of trial and error which means multiple testing. My question to everyone is if there was an informational sheet that you could fill out during game would you? This would be basic from what character you are and then it can get as insane as it needs to be. But, will you guys use it? If so ill get started on it, if not then ill continue testing things. -KeredNomrah69
  13. Not true, you simply have to do the other side. If your tower is red you have to do richtofen side and if its blue do maxis. I've done each side multiple times. Additionally for any of those wondering how to help a friend that has a different tower, simply have the person start a custom game then join once its started. Tower will be the color of the host and won't change once started. I've had to do this several times because going in with crossed EE towers means you get no voices and can't do either tower of babble. -KeredNomrah69
  14. *Update* I've been able to collect some new information I thought I should share 1. There are no multiple double rays as I stated above, instead it's 1 double ray from the laundrymat and 1 double ray from somewhere behind the bank. From multiple tests we have been able to confirm that rays originate from the door and travel to the tower to intercept the "Easter Egg" rays. Wherever these rays are present on the tower the laundrymat door rays will change angle to match its flow. 2. "Box Orbs" now have a function. Wherever the last box orb is activated (seen at power last time for me) an additional ray will shoot off the tower and travel to the box when targeting or "ADS"ing the door at laundrymat. This is the first known step in manually targeting the rays from tower. 3. "Bank Orbs" are no longer the bank. Tonight I will attempt to discover the origins of where these rays go. From past experience we have seen the different rays through bank, now with our new information we need only to trace a few angled rays to trace it to the point of origin they share. 4. Different colored orbs and rays will not interact with eachother. After having a blue orb on the stoplight I proceeded to do maxis EE, tower changes to red, orb stayed blue, sighting the laundrymat door produced red rays. After a lot of tries I finally got a blue ray but instead of splitting between the orb and tower as before, both rays shot directly to the orb. 5 As stated before the laundry mat door rays will shoot to the rays on the tower, additionally if an EE is completed and lampposts are activated then the rays will also angle to intercept those rays mid-air, making this the 2nd known technique in ray targeting even if it is a little hard too control -KeredNomrah69
  15. That's hilarious. I also had my very first zombie slaying in the ios version. At the time though when I purchased it I was completely appalled for the fact of there was a glitch where you actually had to PAY for barriers. This was my first game so I thought that was standard practice. Needless to say spending all your money on barriers makes for horrible play and didn't really enjoy it. Fast forward to a couple of months later and I played Kino Der Toten on xbox and decided it wasn't that bad but the people showing me it had no idea about easter eggs and pretty much just camped in the first couple of sections. If anyone is in here reminiscing about old maps and you want to play I'm going through all of the maps over the next couple of weeks/months as I've just purchased the whole set but haven't had the chance to get through them all. I pretty much want to do a marathon of maps from the beginning while doing all of there easter eggs, after that I'll be able to post up my top 5 ;)
  16. This post is going up for a lot of reasons. One being a month's worth of speculation and attempting to envision an ever changing world that even its creators will have no control over. Zombies is a game, it's created, tested and developed. Something funny happens along the way though, at some point in time a game becomes it's own entity. Through a games release a monster is created with all horrific acts and glitches. With patches and mending the monster is made manageable but from then on its a domino effect from public outcries for different changes and improvements down to what just works in the game. All of this has accumulated to what I believe is now a new generation of Zombies. We are now in the beginning stages of a revolution that has only now started to fully impact all of the community. Now for what started this post in the very beginning, the elusive double nav card. When I first heard theories of navcards working on other maps I was disgusted, when it was proven true I was ready to give up on a game that obviously required you to pay out more money to accomplish something on the first mission you already bought. To my astonishment a week after the release of Die Rise I received a Die Rise navcard while playing with a friend. I was really surprised considering I never even purchased the map pack and was playing tranzit with him. A couple of games later I saw the double navcard upon first entering the game and have since had it 3 times. There's more details to my navcard experiences but thats probably for a different thread. Here is where my problem came up, where do I post this? In all previous maps all items and events were section based. It was clean, precise, and everyone knew where to go. But where do I post about both navcards? Obviously we have now identified these as "Tranzit Navcard" and "Die Rise Navcard", if I discovered how to legitimately always have both or am able to replicate receiving them then does it go in tranzit or dierise section? The problems just escalate from there. Do I double post? Do I link one to the other or just go general with it? We all have now seen the huge increase in misplaced and spammed threads that are swarming this forum and all the others. This problem has always existed to a degree with things such as timelines and weapons but general discussion was always the go-to guy when you weren't sure. This spills over into databases, gaming guides, even the very definition of a Easter Egg has been made obsolete. How can we say we have the complete Easter Egg guide when obviously we are all waiting around for the last navcard to insert into the first map to do something. When we do have the complete guide do we insert links to each thread explaining where the navcards are per map or do we list it in general and also make one per map to be specific? Our current standards and practices are flexible. Learning to skim topics and trusting those that you know post only credible things help tone down the overwhelming amount of discussions going on. The unfortunate part is popularity is growing. CoDZ itself is getting more and more sign ups as evident by the massive amount of first posters lately. I myself have only been playing zombies for less then 2 months but have fully submersed myself in its world and entertainment. This is not a post of negativity. In fact it's the complete opposite. I can sit here typing this completely excited just thinking about doing a turbine test run to research its effects on multiple build-ables and if there combined draw shorten its "on" time compared to single use. I'm still hooked on discovering Tranzit secrets and I have 2 other maps to explore! This post is about discussing ways to improve data sharing, improve proper placements and hopefully bring out those that are our brightest and who will come up with the next stage this community needs to share our love for this game. -KeredNomrah69
  17. I'm not one to quit from an ongoing game, I've also been upset plenty of times with people rage quitting. I just don't understand the public outcry of condemning those that do. Do none of you realize the importance of being able to quit a game? For those of you that enjoy random public matches I do concur with you that people quitting the game completely ruins everything and that its only getting worse as time goes on and people start figuring out the ranking system. For everyone else, why would you go into random games looking to get a large k/d? Those are reserved mostly for high round games of strict friends you trust and have played with before. If I know the person I know there strategy, which means I know how they'll play and if they would quit or not under bad circumstances. I myself find a lot of games pointless after going down in high rounds. Without a crew to cover you or hold zombies your just setting yourself up for slaughter after slaughter as your first choice is either town for protection or guns everywhere else. Outside of random public matches, why would you not quit? I did tranzit EE back to back for 2 weeks straight doing a different one every night. Why would anyone need to die for us to end the game? It literally says when you press start "End Game". The developers have talked about in the past of there being an end game of sorts. Although he may not have been speaking about this in particular it is still there. It saves, you get the money, you get the kills, all stats or EE related events always stay. You even get leaderboard stats, I have plenty of friends with rounds 50+ and 0 downs. To be fair about it everyone decides when and the host ends the game (custom game) or everyone backs out (public match). If your holding onto nostalgia from previous maps of needing to die just to feel like you've accomplished something then please, continue dieing.
  18. You contradicted yourself there lol. If there was an all out (over 100 member) effort to actually get all the stats down we could look at some of the differences in it mathematically. For instance if perks bought was needed then in a ratio scheme you could compare it as perksbought/downs for the fact of it shows whats happening between your downs and if your actually doing anything, possible perksbought/doors opened to show your actually the person contributing to the team. Really it could be any number of combinations. I myself would think miles traveled would deal with it as far as training and such but I know a few that glitch sit and they said they received shotguns after a couple of days just sitting there and killing with a fresh account (not verified what so ever as I never actually saw this progression as I did with my own). -KeredNomrah69
  19. I myself can debunk the K/D ratio only to rank up. I tried for several weeks to receive a knife including games that got up to 4k kills with no downs and simply quitting before I go down. Finally gave up when nothing was happening and stopped caring since it seemed pointless (my K/D was over 150 ratio by then and still never ranked up past a skull). Long story short another 2 weeks went by with horrible ratios (dropped down below 100 k/d) and it wasn't until one game in particular that I went down 10 times (EE and other related unfun events lol) that I got my knife finally. My ratio for that game was near a 20 k/d. Only thing I can contribute it to is my perks, bought 4 perks every down (I don't use tombstone) which brought my perks bought way up but besides that it was my first game that day and saw it before I went into the next one. My friend is convinced though that it was the carpenter power up I picked up lol. He called it that game as a joke since he had been trying all those weeks with me to rank up but after giving up it was another treyarch punch line. Then bam I get it from that game! Pretty sure he'll never let me live that one down lol. You still play with randoms? I no longer expect a decent game with randoms as the players have expanded into even non-FPS gamers tagging along. To be honest I've known plenty of shotguns and they all care about there ratios, its not rage quitting to them its keeping your ratio. If I see a shotgun on random I think to myself "Well atleast he won't be in my way and I won't have to worry about reviving him" because he'll quit before that ever would happen. The rank system everyone agrees is screwed up but that doesn't matter to those who want top rank status. If the system is screwy then screw with the system to make it work, its basic protocol for dealing with the massively over saturated gaming market we have now and the crap quality everyone is getting from makers. -KeredNomrah69
  20. 83457 you are a genius. I believe you have stumbled upon a decent hold down spot. My previous post was completely false apparently. Just tried it out in a four man game, sat at the top of the shortcut without dropping down and behold they never came from town. On occasions if someone was in town they would come after me when they left and I was the nearest to zombies. With no one in town they only emerged from the fog from the one direction. This is true for a lot of areas when you are just exiting the fog. Give yourself a breather at the ledge and let the denizens that have been already spawned die and there will be no more. There is a nice comfortable area between the ledge and the cross bones signs towards the church where the denizens will not spawn to come after you. There's a total of one spawn location close to you and one car they can crawl through from the side, everything else is running down a long street with glowing eyes you can target. Had one turret and a trap with me and eventually removed the trap (sparks were distracting) and then removed the turret (was getting bored not killing anything). Sat there with an rpd by myself till round 22 then had to leave because everyone was needing revives. I'm up for a hold down crew. 4 guys who do nothing but military style choke points and fall back to more defensive lines that are all preplanned. This place is perfect for the fact you can just drop over the ledge and literally get anything you want or even those that have been downed can just hop down and get jug. Worse case scenario, everyone drops to bank and deposits till your overrun lol.
  21. They do. I like to run trains in the fog (denizen training to me) and often I'm near the shortcut area where the lamppost is. In a couple of matches now if people are running in town and go down I immediately start there way and the zombies always start to climb the wall and come at me while heading in. Now one thing I haven't tried is if your at the top without dropping down and you start a round. The zombies that come at me have already been spawned in town and come towards me but if your standing up top and no one is actually dropped down in town they may not actually spawn in that lower section. -KeredNomrah69
  22. Hmm well I tried this in public match before I saw the video post on solo. Interesting details for doing this in public though. I could not get the original location to work, crouching on the other side though freaks the zombies out and while they spawn right beside you they run away. Also it freaks out the denizen but not the same freezing gig. If someone is near the cornfield the denizens will still spawn on you, if no one is in the cornfield besides the person in the glitch then no denizens will spawn on the entire map (Finally! A way to work in the fog with no denizens! just have to sacrifice someone eating dinner!) Looking out of the glitch towards the outer cornfield This is the view behind me looking at the tower and the fence. When I get out of this game I'll do a theater mode pic showing me in it but we are currently still in the game but thought I would take the time to update everyone while sitting in the glitch lol. Also I will be testing out bringing more people into this glitch and if it works then all 4 of us. Update: The denizens don't disappear but in actuality are glitched out in the cornfield with you. As long as no one travels through the area on foot you are ok. Team mates can use the teleporters or ride the bus through the area with no seen effects. If the denizens do get messed up then simply stay put till the spawning denizens fall back into the glitched out area. Kaboom's also kill the denizens and you will have to suffer through some head humps till they stop again. -KeredNomrah69
  23. I would assume that could fall into his other quotes involving Atlantis, Bermuda Triangle, Banking Conspiracy etc etc. He's referring to Bigfoot sightings in which the most famous one is exactly as he's depicting it all of which tie in to his crazy conspiracy personality. On a side note, can we at all with hindsight look back at any visual or audio clues that could've predicted the denizens in a previous map or any of the "special" zombies being hinted at in the map previous to it? If so I would love to see a giant bigfoot zombie walking around of in a huge janitor jumpsuit with an equally oversized keyset btw, my first asylum post. I think I found my new favorite thread because there's no spam posts of scam videos in here like whats been flooding die rise and tranzit lately.
  24. Ran across this recently updated thread discussing how you could reset your stats for xbox live users. I personally will not reset my stats because I enjoy being in the top thousands and want to up that to top hundreds in a lot of things. Either way the whole idea of xbox live users being stuck with stats while the other platforms can just up and change to a new account always bugged me. If anyone is interested in trying this I would love to have someone confirm from the forum that it indeed works. http://www.thetechgame.com/Forums/t=4888026/new-how-to-reset-zombie-stats-feb2013-2-ways.html Edit: It's also been stated you do not lose your high round stats on your leaderboard, this is strictly kill/down/deaths/etc stats The thread looks like its being deleted or something because of mods messing with it on the page(is this an issue here? I know of no leaked info but I see glitch posts all the time), I have saved the page and the information on it just incase, the original external link that is posted in that thread is blocked because I have to register to see it but not sure if I'm willing to go through the trouble for whats already been posted. -KeredNomrah69
