  1. A lot of people underestimate riding the top of the bus on Tranzit... I usually stay up there with claymores, any zombie on top of the bus, moving or parked, can only stumble towards you. So even on round 30, they are still only as fast as they would be on round 1. There are 5 places they can climb up from, including jumping up through the hatch from inside the bus. Other than them jumping through that hole, they usually take 3-5 seconds to climb up on the bus, giving plenty of time to kill them, and the claymores serve me well in the beginning when they jump through the hatch. I don't see many people using that strategy, it's fun, pretty easy and for most people, something new to try out, also visually appealing to me as I get to kill zombies and see the map's areas. The only cons about this spot are you will almost never get a drop from an enemy, as I'm sure most of you know if the bus moves, the drops stay in one spot. Having a drop get left behind on top of the bus is even more annoying because nobody can get it at that point, it's too high in the air, having a max ammo mere inches from grasp is not usually a good feeling. Also, people only seem to go down when I'm on the other side of the map, no matter where the bus is at that moment, everyone is safe except for the person farthest from me haha, but I think that's just my shotty luck. Otherwise it's a pretty good set up, might not take you into a record breaking round but it's still worth a shot if you haven't tried staying up there.
  2. I was playing zombies last night and got to thinking about when I was younger and used to have toys that had draw strings on them. You could pull the string on their back and they would say a series of quotes randomly, which I think would be perfect for a zombies fan. A 40s-50s style doll series (sort of like the way Woodie is made from Toy story) of our heroes, and side characters that would have multiple quotes for your pleasure. I personally would buy the heck out of this, much more than a silly Lego zombie. It fits the style of zombies perfectly, at least from W@W and BO1, would have new lovable quotes (maybe even some Ascension matrayoska doll quotes) for a hard core collector. I may sketch up some versions of the original four sometime, but what do you guys think?
  3. Yea gold guns are not a troll, it's usually a precursor that my game will freeze soon... Anyway, these "plates" can be moved inside the map via granades, you can flip them over the fence and then knife then around the map. The only reason I say this is unimportant is first, you are the only person that can see the plates, it will be somewhere else on the map to any other player in your game. Secondly, they disappear after a few minutes of blowing them off. My thoughts, it was yet again 3arc biting off too much, perhaps an easter egg that never got finished.
  4. NTZ looks almost identical to BO1s Nuketown MP map, there isn't much evidence that says this zombie map is the remnants of NT2025. It's a simple bridge in story, given as incentive to preorder the game. It only shows us that while our old heroes are on Moon, Earth is still battling the zombie apocalypse. It's never said why it was bombed, but implied that it was to kill the reanimated soldiers of Nuke Towns MP map, having failed they send in two groups to clean it up, also failing (or succeeding and dying anyway from the bombs sent from Moon). This map is so full of speculation, it's been chalked up to bridging story, as well as hinting towards the higher power (see threads on loading screen for NTZ) You would probably also want to look up how futuristic weapons (such as M27 or LSAT) could be spawned in the box if you're interested, sorry I cannot link any threads at the moment. I also want to add that in order for a time bubble, Nuketown would have to be preserved PRE moon missile launch. The only plausible idea for your theory would be some shift in time being set in motion ,perhaps when Richtofen strips Sam of her power. This "time shift" would have to take place the EXACT time the missiles went off, to coat the area in 115...somehow. It just doesn't add up, but always good to see people making advancements towards figuring out more, so kudos for that.
  5. I was playing Tranzit the other night and as I was mowing down a group she says something of the lines of "Fixing to drop a lot of meat if you are still hungry Stu". More or less that quote....just thought it odd that she takes notice while in Die Rise, it's such a well guarded secret, thoughts?
  6. Looks like a typical town Mayor. When I search by image on google, it just brings up various Nobles painted in that similar style, but if it is of any concern, a lot of these images I recognize as political figures, mostly Presidents and Revolutionaries.
  7. I will try almost everytime to revive, but I'll tell you well beforehand if I think it's going to work or not.
  8. Would be the M27 but it's limited on maps. I usually hope for a Galil otherwise. Those would be my favorites in terms of fun using them. For longevity I guess it would be most Wunderweapons or LMGs. For some reason I'm in love it the ballistic knife on BO1, I'm useless with it (except on Motd) on BO2.
  9. The last time I played Die Rise (10 years ago maybe?) I noticed the plastic on my analog controller was wearing off around the left analog, I for some reason wanted to see it better so I moved my analog out of the way, looking at my controller....I just waltz off the edge and fall to my death. I did the same thing a few days later waiting to respawn in Dark Souls 2. I am idyot.
  10. Psycho we should do some scavenger runs sometime man, been a while. Anyone think this could just be a cryptic message about starting the new zombies in BO3? I'm sure they've been working on the campaign and maybe MP but just a thought I had, as a lot of people are already writing it off as nothing.
  11. I voted yes, but to the degree that they at least finish this story. Do not just leave it the way it is but perhaps link it to the next chapter, on a lore only level.
  12. I simple question, what do you find in the zombie universe, or any zombie story for that matter that draws you to a specific character? With our BO1 heroes, we had four very distinct characters, all with their own attitudes and personality. With BO2s "heroes" there was much more mystery with each character, that has carried all the way to the end of the game, but along the way things were learned and with complied quotes, a dedicated fan can learn the personality of the new characters. For me, I have always been a fan of the headstrong characters, someone who can keep a clear mind when things are at their worst, not necessarily a leader, but someone who you could see making it all by themselves. For example, the BO heroes were all loveable, but in the end it was Takeo that I was hoping to get before the match started. Yes he is pretty stereotypical Japanese but his quotes help flesh him out to be the strongest character in the game, mentally and physically. BO2 was a hard one for me, but Misty was the one character that I could believe had made it so far into the apocalypse unscathed. She is hardened, sure of herself and even carries the teams morale through their journey to Buried, without her I think the distrust and rivalry within the group would have resulted in the same fate as those before them, the torch in the tunnel so to speak. It's not even about relate ability, truth be told I would be nothing like Misty, or Takeo, probably more like the girl on Die Rise's television audio. So how about you? What attracts you to a character within a zombie apocalypse?
  13. I mostly just play an album through a whole game or two. For the most part it's Ozzmosis/ Ozzy Ozborne Licence to ILL/ ILL communication/ Beastie boys Brave new world/ Iron Maiden (goes with pretty much any video game haha)
  14. "Stupid" afterglow can't say they are all that great, I usually just use them to listen to music while I play non zombie games, but the sound is good enough for me. The only problem is about 2 hours in, they just kill my ears so I can see why some people would dislike them, luckily they were a gift. For zombies I just use a sony headset, with a single side headphone like SMM said. My sound is set up good in my room that I usually don't need headphones, 90% of the time it's just to have the mic and hear my friends better.
  15. I was combing through Twitch last night and got to thinking, it would be cool if later on CODz had their own account that could be viewed by PS4 users, I have no idea if the X1 has any streaming features but hopefully they do so it can be for everyone (sorry wiiU). Helpful tips, new strategies, weekly/monthly challenges or even EE live discoveries. I know it's a good years away, but it never hurts to plan ahead and it's free, easy and pretty good way to get the name out further.
  16. Raygun also, I don't hate the weapon, but it always throws it in my face in the first 10-15 rounds when I'm working on point hoarding. Otherwise it would be the RPD, which I love, and it loves me back.
  17. You're right on the first two, I actually hadn't thought of recreating older maps, it still wouldn't be genuine but I still see the point. But in the case of PC users, do they not buy DLC because they can just make the map on WaW? I think it would still work considering your points and finding ways around them. I know that was a half arsed reply but I got busy xD
  18. Basically yea, any non PaP'd weapon that uses 115. I agree with MMX on the spoon/spork, it's definitely a weapon that was created by what people seem to think is Satan (I wont argue). Just for the fact that it's a spoon, totally ineffective yet has more power than a 7" bowie knife? It's definitely Ethereal and almost a glimpse at humor from "Satan" being it was, and is probably still used as a weapon in penitentiarys.
  19. Well survival mode is in there too. Well I guess I can't change your mind, but what I can say is that your thought process is likely not the same as the majority of codz. Not sure how to take that, but alright. To me survival mode on BO2 is a little more entertaining than the competitive modes, but not by much, with the exception of NTZ. The more I think about it, it would just be wise to end every DLC run with a content creator for maps. That way they can keep their sales on company made maps and then release the tools for players to make maps, or download player made ones. I got the idea from playing Trails Evolution, the player made tracks on that game are in all honesty, much much better than anything from the main story's maps.
  20. You forgot the Iron Giant movie lol I saw it the other night and kept thinking it's the dead Giant on Origins lol
  21. Same game modes or new? It would be a wise decision to make more modes, for people like me that just enjoy the cooperation of zombies. I've never liked the other modes for that reason, too competitive, also exploitable. I really wish there were randomized goals per round, for a set number of rounds sort of in the way of Ghosts side game. Getting off topic but still a good idea, no more maps for now, just small content to pump some new life into the game, I'd probably just buy it because it was new, even if it were more competitive modes.
  22. Why would they still need him? They had perfected teleportation and Richtofen was even making the weapons, what other purpose could a betrayed scientist contribute to Griffon Station? I only ask for the sake of debate, and out of curiosity because after all this time I still miss these little bits, like the sound of a gun being pulled from a coat. Also the fact that he killed himself in front of his daughter....that's harsh even for zombies lore, but I suppose drastic times don't permit a well thought out plan.
  23. Hmm, I never considered that was him shooting himself. Richtofens initial plan was to kill Sam and Maxis and by accident sent them to Griffon Station, where he ordered his team to locate Maxis through some DNA teleportation thing (how come we haven't heard any more of this tech?), for the fact to simply finish him right? They needed him to coax Samantha out of the Pyramid, as soon as he says "Kill them all" the shot is fired from someone who probably realizes it's all over at this point, and atleast finished Richtofens request. I like the idea of the OP though, never had thought of it like that.
  24. Oh you didn't know? Put your disc in upside down and there is a secret map burned on the cover of the game I would love nothing more than some filler maps, don't even have to be heavily story based, maybe just some unfortunates that don't make it during BO2 quest through the spires. Now we know that wont happen though, it's not like they aren't probably working on BO3 right now, dividing a team like that would only produce mediocre dlc maps, and half arsed next installment. If anything, get yourself a lower end PC and enjoy the hundreds of player made maps, I hear they're great. Another thing to mention, too much DLC can certainly be a bad thing, most people will agree that having something all the time will wear out the want to play. Borderlands 2 is a perfect example, they released DLC that declined in fun factor after every release, and they released all the DLC up unto the point of revealing Borderlands 3. As great as Borderlands is, they killed me on the DLC and was less than excited to see BL3 trailer, and will probably wait until it's a greatest hits before I grab it.
  25. Man I hope they never combine Extinction and Zs...I'll probably cry lol I tried and tried to like Ghosts, or even Extinction but just couldn't enjoy it on the level zombies matches. I went into the game with the mindset that it's not going to be zombies, and it isn't, but I can safely say even if Zombies was never made, I'd still find this game not so fun. Mostly for the reason you can beat it, Zombies is about getting farther than you did before, bettering yourself basically. Extinction is more like speedrunning a game you've played through your childhood, except it's a game that doesn't hold well the more you play. On the plus side (because I know hard work went into the game) I am in love with the whole digging for items, and mid round challenges, freaking genius. I simply couldn't make myself like the game, and eventually erased it from my hard drive and went back to black ops. My suggestion would be to rent it first, play a good 3 days and make your own conclusion. Most of us are telling you it isn't worth the money, but there are people out there that probably think it's the best game Activision has release so who knows you could be one of THOOOOSE guys lol
