In the sketched page picture, the device to the right, is that not what is on the "boss" zombies chest? Perhaps we have to kill him and get that piece to start afterlife?
-
Not a bad thought at all, and you could be right. But why add that in there? Seems a little cryptic like the "lost souls" sentence. The fact that you are given a character by random selection kind of makes me think I may not be on to something, but ever since Ascension, treyarch has really catered to the 4 players type player. I usually play 2-3 max but have to get a random (random on COD forums ofc) to help do the 4 player ones. So perhaps if they do give these players a "class" then they are just expecting people to already have three friends to play with...

Pretty similar minus the flame/tribal design coming from it. Could add meaning besides healing, or we use fire to heal something...ze beautiful cleaning flame?
-
Oh I'm sure it will tie in somehow, minimally if anything. And someone has to control them surely, that's how we get powerups right? It's all a game to whoever is controlling the zombies, and they throw upgrades our way so the fun doesn't stop so quick. So far I'm thinking in no particular order, Illuminati, Satan, or Aliens. Richtofen finds the pyramid in a dark tunnel right? So that could have been on any planet *shrugs

Good point, which one is Finn? If he is the guy with the hat then that might prove my theory further,
-
Nice, a persistent upgrade for each character would be a nice touch!

Love your pic...and I was coming back here to say what you just said lol In the trailer they are each given an intro on how they ended up in prison, perhaps one can manage points (money launder) the hired gun maybe can effect ammo or hold more guns, cheating a cheater...this one stumps me, and the last guy seemed to be the top mobster so perhaps he is needed for the easter egg. I am just LOVING where this map is headed, just a shame I'll have to mooch of my friends xbox while I wait to enjoy it in my own home

Mob of the Dead Official Trailer Analysis
Tattoo247 replied to FatedTitan's topic in Mob of the Dead
I'm sure this map is going to restore my faith. I wonder if the description on COD BO2 official site about each character having their own special skills will play into afterlife mode? -
Sorry if this needs to be moved or has been talked about, but on COD BO2 site http://www.callofduty.com/blackops2/dlc/dlc2-uprising it talks about the characters on mob of the dead having a "Unique set of skills" raising lots of questions about the easter egg and game play in general.
-
Yea I know we do, so they should give us what we want lol. I popped Bo1 in last week and within the first 5 minutes I was laughing my ass off.
-
Being that I am work, someone answer this for me as I cant research it. All the actors in this map have played Mobsters, my question is in all the movies, did these specific characters die? I remember the guy from Resiviour dogs died. Perhaps they are the actual characters, in Purgatory paying for their sins for being bad people?
-
If we do I'm going to bawl my eyes out and hug my tv. I could deal with half the bad things this game was went through (bugs and all that) if I could just play the old three characters that are left to play
-
We probably will have to set off an annoying amount of number sequences again to summon yet another submarine that will act as the escape for the game over. As long as the map is as cool as it looks I'll be happy
-
Well the last time we played actors, we set the old players free.

~New Boss~ Scariest Map? They Weren't Kidding!
Tattoo247 replied to Electric Jesus's topic in Mob of the Dead
The nova crawlers have changed, why not hell hounds. My only draw back is, if this is pre-Richtofen/Maxis, then hellhounds were not yet created by accident. I sure hope they don't go all biblical and say Satan is doing all this, aliens are where I draw the line  -
I hope there is another turned mode! Hope they have a courtyard, where inmates get time outside, would add a good inside outside element. That and I've always wanted to kill zombies on a basketball court lol
-
Here's an idea on the whole zombies were here before Sam, if you notice Element 115 in its pure state has red cracks. Perhaps this is the first outbreak recorded in the BO zombie storyline. Any of the Tunguska stuff relate to this time period? I used to be on top of my research but lately I have been so disappointed with BO2 (I still like the game so please don't ask me why I am here) that I have fallen way outside the loop of info.

Mob of the Dead Trailer Analysis! NOW WITH "MAKING OF" VIDEO
Tattoo247 replied to Flammenwerfer's topic in Mob of the Dead
I'm definitely seeing a pattern here. Five had us playing 4 new characters (new at the time anyway) In a map that took place in the United states. Tranzit has us playing 4 new characters in the USA as well. Then ascension and die rise, there wasn't much "ascending" in ascension, but the name was more of a play on the space race, where as Die Rise you actually have to ascend and descend to get to where you need to go. Now call of the dead's foggy atmosphere (snow/fog) and the actors are matching up with this new trailer. Richtofen made a quote about other dimensions in MOON, I think when you throw a QED he says something like "nothing happened, at least not in this dimension" Do you guys think we are in a mirrored, parrelel universe? An alternate reality that was created by blowing up earth? It's hard to make it sound the way is in my head but it really seems like we are working toward fixing it to where our old characters can stop Richtofen, and these map packs reflect that. I guess we'll see if we get a jungle or mythological destination on the map pack after this one. Sorry if I'm not making sense :/ -
Anyone miss the good ol' days?
Tattoo247 replied to Bronsauce66's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Depends, WaW and BO1 had the best story (so far, we'll see by the end of this year) WaW had terrible knifing, BO1 had the best, BO2 screwed it up again. BO2 has better graphics, except for the players hands. BO1 had better music (WaW also) And everyone will agree, BO1 characters owns the hell out of our new heroes. -
Russman is not to be trusted
Tattoo247 replied to zombiedude6776's topic in General Zombies Discussion
My question is, are people just listening to sound files or hearing this in game? The assumptions just sound like you're listening to youtube videos, which isn't a bad thing but they make more sense if you hear them IN game. All these quotes are in the game, the bed is reference to him being old and tired, his hands around the world's throat is when you get a good weapon, and leaving the work to the YOUNG folk just means he is admitting his age gets the best of him. And it doesn't say "Stop Russ" it says "Stop Rus" and that even is just some blood covering the paint, you can still see the yellow paint under the blood, and his name has two S's so as cool as the idea is, I've always thought this was not relevant. Stu and Marleton are the ones to keep an eye on, they both know things but they don't say what. And anyone who craves zombie flesh has got to have problems. -
How do you get those versions? I've only heard Moon's loading screen music, is that what you get for shooting the mannequin heads?
-
Here we go again LOL Thanks for the post.

This place is still a breath of fresh air compared to the recycled bull crap that is on the official forums. I do believe we'll leave it at Tranzit, it's name is a play on transit which is reference to the bus depot, the Z in tranzit is just a typo in reference to Zombies. Transmit doesn't make much sense except perhaps when the game first came out, now we all know how maxis and richtofen can transmit their voices but still...sorry I'm just trying to make sense out of it.

Worth a try, the only thing that throws me off is it doesn't say not enough power, just says incorrect nav card, to me that means it's too big or too small, it just simply doesn't fit. I looked up navigation cards a long time ago and apparently, they don't make them for bus's. Only boats, trains and planes which I thought was odd. On the other hand though, they don't make robotic drivers either so my previous statement could be disregarded but who knows.

I use it every once in awhile, never took the time to "master" it because of the slow reaction of putting it up/ pulling it out. My first experience was in Town, I trained a bunch of zombies thinking it would be cool to kill them. It wasn't, a bunch of zombies on fire got pulled into my face and I died from the explosions lmao. It is a cool looking weapon though, not wunder but still good. Floating is fun and I actually didn't know about it sucking up power ups, nor did I know turbines would help the cool down. I think people really got spoiled with the wunder waffe and thunder gun. They expected a "own all" weapon again and I'm glad they didn't put them in the game. As much as I loved the Thundergun, especially on Ascension, it would almost always contribute to me getting sleepy in the upper 40+ rounds. Way too repetitive and very small challenge. One of these days, I'll work on using it properly as the only enjoyment I've got from it is a heating the pylon and floating a few feet
