Played zombies first, going for the world record!!!!! But seriously, I've just been combing the maps looking for clues and little easter eggs. My main objective is to finally help solve the EE, never had that pleasure.

I hate to hear that Hells, that's pretty damn sorry for them to release it in such a poor state. Is this purely an Xbox issue? My friend got a digital copy for PS4 last night, downloaded the extra content, and as of now ( a good 15 hours later) still hasn't unlocked The Giant, and more than likely Nuketown. For me I had to wait a while, I already had the DLC downloaded and installed, but it kept prompting me when I would start the game up, that there was still content that was installing, even though my dashboard had to mention of anything in queue. I played the other zombies map a few times, went into multiplayer (and friggin dominated for the first time ever lol) and after that game I went back to zombies and the Giant was there. Keep us posted man, bullshit that you get the shaft after the hard work you've put into this franchise. Best of luck bud.

Quick question, if SNN happens before Der Riese, why in the new cutscene is Richtofen about to wake up the other 3, when the outbreak has already happened? Assuming we take control after the cutscene ends, there would be zombies every where, and hell hounds...
-
Sorry for the somewhat insignificant question, but why is every first line of text in our topics grey? It's nothing major I just wanted to know :)

He was a "good guy" before he touched the Pyramid right? In the radios he always sounded concerned for safety and had that whole different tone of voice, similar to Mustach-tofen (sorry Boom, I'm stealing that lol) I think we're just seeing a Richtofen that hasn't had 115 poisoning, and hasn't touched the Pyramid yet, so he has the potential to be good. Ultimately I think he'll go crazy again, as they say in Call of the Dead- Not ready to die lyrics "Loyalty is no match for power" and that is the truth.

Nice idea, it definitely puts things in a new perspective. Although I'll add something I've always thought was odd, even though I believe Der Riese came first, or at least I used to, not so sure now. Fluffy was turned into a hellhound in Der Riese right? But there are hell hounds in SNN, it may be a simple mistake in the story, but it had always gave me confirmation that they were being chased FROM Der Riese, to SNN. Sorry if it was brought up already, I skimmed the first page and didn't read the second >.>

I get a good laugh everytime I hear Origins is the ending...it's ORIGINS. Anyway, as long as Treyarch is in the CoD roster, they'll always make zombies. As time goes on, it might become unrecognizable to the older fans, but I have every reason to believe they will have this side game throughout their partner ship with Activision. I mean they even have the other developers trying to loosely steal their concept. It's very possible though, that this will be the end of our old heroes. I personally believe that the loop wont end this game, but you never know. They have some major making up to do though, the crap cliffhanger they gave us on Moon was a slap in the face, only to be followed by a backhand that was BO2. With the extra year to work on the title, I have every expectation that this game is going to be amazing.

You're saying Kino and Ascension are Der Riese clones? I'm hoping for a straight clone, they'll have plenty of DLC's to give us maps that feel different. I think people are forgetting that this is a bonus map, yes it's a continuation of the story, a "sequel" to Origins, but as a map, it's just reskinned for us old players to enjoy, it's more or less a marketing ploy to keep the veterans interested, at least I hope that's what it is. I'll be highly disappointed to see Der Riese be changed to a degree that it doesn't feel like the old map. It's like the star wars remaster, it just isn't right! haha I want every board, every perk, and every single easter egg from W@W/BO. If you guys remember when they remade the older maps for the Moon DLC package, I was complaining that there was fall damage on my old maps lol, I'm picky! Here are the things I don't care about changing though. 1.Radios 2.Weapons (as long as there is a Thompson, and FG) 3. BGM- Maybe add another EE song, but keep our old one too! 4.A new room or two- this will worry me but as long as it's a room that isn't easily trainable I wont mind. 5. Quotes- Obviously no one wants to hear the same old saying about illuminati and all that, unless it's more fleshed out and has more weight as a whole.

Happy Halloween everyone! It's also my birthday :) which I know is the REAL reason we celebrate this wondrous day.
-
Haha
Congrats, buddy.
Have a great day and be sure to have even greater once when the game is out.
Totally not implying that BO III is more important than your birthday.
Seriously though: Have a good one.

It's only a matter of time, I'll be into zombies for the first time exclusively, so I'm really looking forward to physically helping figure things out.

It was called Nazi Zombies....how accurate can you get?

I actually don't know much about this style. It's not really sought after in the area I work in, but I'm going to read this man and hopefully I can take a little knowledge from it, appreciate the work you put into this, very well constructed! Yea, was a good read. One thing I noticed is, in a lot of the Tibetan pieces I've done, the little zig zag lines are usually present, like in the last picture you posted, the symbols that almost look like a number 3, I see those a lot. And another cool thing I noticed in the books we have a the shop, they all have the "golden rod" drawing, so it's a pretty important design in the culture. I'll try to post a picture of it. -
So good looking....maybe it's the frame rate I'm not used to on zombies, but damn it looks so effin smooth! All I want.....are ragdoll physics on the "hanged man". He will dance to my bullet fire and we will laaaaaaugh and laugh. The one thing I don't want is, any interaction with the Giant. I know its probably going to be part of a new easter egg or something, but I may be the only person that just wants a straight up clone of the old map. I'll take an extra room or two, but I hope they don't get overly flashy and make it a gimmick map like the majority of BO2's maps. I think it's about time I plug up my ps3 and get back into the swing of high rounds, it's going to be a good month of killing teh zombehs.
-
If it were a prototype again do you think it would damage other players like it did in world at war? I would kinda think it would be a funny way to troll if they put it in the game, but made it like it used to be lol

They don't want you to hit 3k posts man, they're challenging your manhood.

'Dammit Richtofen, I thought we were done with this'
Tattoo247 replied to Iamanugget42's topic in The Giant
Just a thought that popped in my head. Perhaps the death of Richtofen resets the cycle, no matter how it plays out. Meaning, Maxis "wins" at the end of BO2, erasing Richtofen, and inadvertently reseting the events, taking us back to Origins. Inadvertently or perhaps it's his "plan" that the Origins ending offers. So does having two Richtofens, and killing one fix this? I don't think it does unless he plans on staying in this dimension, which still could lead to his death in another way. -
Is The Giant in the same timeline as Origins?
Tattoo247 replied to EpicSkittlez's topic in The Giant
It seems like Origins people are in another dimension, within the same reality. Meaning all laws of the universe apply, time, gravity ect ect... but they are in another spectrum. Sort of like a bicycle wheel, they all move the same direction, but they are spaced apart, so one follows the other, but they are all part of the same circle. The reason I have for that is simple, we've never seen giant robots or had any mention of the staffs. Otherwise G935's weaponry would have been more powerful, reliable and modeled more after the power of the staffs. This ofcourse, is my own idea, nobody knows for sure. The real question would be, how can the Origins crew know the events that play out years after, and why Niki,Tak and Tank would have the slightest bit of trust toward Richtofen, knowing his counter version of himself was insane and manipulative. My guesses are either A: They are aware the effects that element 115 had on the Doctor, and knowing (or at least assuming) Origins Richtofen doesn't have 115 poisoning, they can give him the benefit of the doubt. Or B: They DONT know what happens through our original maps, and are once again "winging it" on the word of Richtofen. Good question though, I know my response was barely an answer haha.- 19 replies

When will non hardened edition players get The Giant?
Tattoo247 replied to Simply Epic's topic in The Giant
Nuketown was ok...at the time I enjoyed it because the shere waste of space Tranzit gave me left a smaller map (NTZ) feeling more like a legitimate map, of course as time went on, I adjusted to bigger maps and NTZ became less appealing, but is still a fun challenge. Why not just get the hardened addition and wait until you have time to play it? If money is an issue I understand, but I'd rather pay the extra and know I can play it any time I want, rather than gambling and being left out when everyone else is speculating and figuring out EEs. Or preorder the hardened edition, cancel if you don't have time, and just get a regular copy and a few dollars in your pocket. That way you're already taken care of in case you do, in fact, have time to play. -
Good theory. I forgot about the quotes when looking at the portraits. I need to go back and play that map tonight. The only thing wrong is that some of the characters look older, and some younger. Time to get my grey matter working again. Good post!

Who is Tattoo? I am Nightmare and I didn't contradict myself. Wait a damn minute now..... what do you mean "Who is Tattoo?". I am thoroughly offended, all the spam I spread around here and I can't even get recognized? Whyyyyy I aughttaa..... On topic, great summary on the spires, makes a lot more sense now. I think the topic has been answered pretty well! Now I'm going to go eat my sadness away and pretend I am known around these parts

I really don't like it just because it doesn't look like zombie to me. This series has been around for long enough to have old timers (me) wish things were like they were back in the day lol. Just give me a few rooms with windows, standard weapons and a singular WW. I remember ranting awhile back how the EEs aren't EEs anymore, and this map reeks of that. They say it's the largest and most secretive map to date, well they said that about Tranzit too so I guess I'll just have to see. If I do enjoy the map, you're more than welcome to link this post and I will print out all my replies, and eat them on camera. That is how certain I am that this map is not for me. I'm a grouchy veteran player that just wants the classic feel back without all the flashy bells and whistles. And Zelkova I think he was talking about singular bosses, which the ghost IS one entity, but I wouldn't call her singular by any means, being she has crashed my game before, spawning I don't even know how many versions of herself ( I think they patched that though, it was early in the maps release when that happened to me)
-
I think it's too early to say that yet. I know so far these appear to be a MotD/CotD type of crew, but isn't it strange, if that is the case, that we're getting that map on-disc this time around? As long as Robert Englund never returns to CoDz everything will be ok.

Haha did you ever see the Southpark episode where they think there is a talking whale from the Moon at seaworld? The last scene of that episode, the credits roll as a dead whale lies on the Moon in silence, insert Samantha lol I do like the ripple effect theory. Remember Maxis/Richtofen only agreed to represent the Nazi regime because of funding. What if instead either Maxis or Richtofen has went back in time with perfected technology that was finished in a timeframe that didn't need additional funding? I'm pretty sure military attire didn't change just because Hitler became their leader. The symbols were added to an already existing outfit, which could explain why Richtofen LOOKS like a Nazi, but doesn't display the swastika. Obviously, they were taken out to prevent offending anyone, and more importantly, to increase world wide sales. Can't sell a game if it's banned in a certain area. But it's safe to say, anything can be explained WITHIN the game, so why not say the Nazi party wasn't needed in G935's goals. The only problem with this theory of mine is, if there was no Nazi funding, there was no need to make the Wunderwaffe. It was in the back of my mind the first time I watched the trailer if we were going to see the DG2, and as of now I can't say we have. "To improve the human condition" was their mission until they had to depend on the Nazis.

Well I understand what they were for, but WHY was it necessary for them to be activated? Was the actual science ever figured out or even theorized about? Maxis had trouble with interference and wanted the power off, but the spires on. Turning them on and pushing the button somehow removes Richtofen from power, but doing Richtofen steps erases Maxis from history. How the eff?? Did we mess up the polar energy of Earth when we blew it up? Does Richtofen mend the rift and restores Earth natural magnetic fields? I just don't get how the spires worked in the game, and I know it's fantasy but so was griffon station, and that was explained pretty clear, as a matter of fact, between the creators and the community, just about everything can be made sense of except this.
