  1. I mean this in the nicest way, but if no one is posting in a topic, doesn't it need to "die"?
  2. Something that might be fun....with playstation anyway. Not sure if Xbox360 can use a xbox1 controller, but on playstation you can buy a ps4 controller to use on ps3, sounds silly but the feel is a lot different and it took me a few days to get used to the new weight and triggers, might as well get used to it before the next zombies come out so you're not off your game. Basically play zombies, or any ps3 game with a ps4 controller
  3. So is exo zombie tied into 3arcs story?

  5. Don't forget they have another desire, death. As Nightmare referenced in his post, Shino Numa's song states their mental state, there has to be the slightest shred of humanity in there, but outweighed by the control of Samantha/Richtofen. Imagine wanting death so bad but are forced to kill against your will, creepy stuff.
  6. Well some of the music was plain bad, I can agree on that. But to me, it was always cool to have a 3rd part perspective, from the lyrics. We've understood Samanthas feelings since before we really knew her, and we even got insight on what it's like to be a zombie. We wont talk about Five though, I don't know what the hell they were thinking there... I love 80s metal though, so as long as I get a good dose of story, I could compromise with the music.
  7. If it's in game music, then lyrics are very important, we've learned quite a lot from just studying the lyrics of all artists featured on CODz Otherwise no, and classical music is really nice on the more depressing looking maps, Nacht, Der Riese and Origins make use of muted blue and grey tones, so that dreary look goes great with Moonlight Sonata or any sad classical music.
  8. Don't laugh, but I dig up old key generator music from the 90s to play lots of games to, zombies included. Ok you may laugh now.
  9. I think 3arch would stick to these kind of time travel rules, especially since there are mentions of paradoxes themselves. I heard a theory once that timelines can never be changed. If you go back in time and kill yourself the return to your time, the only thing that will happen is everything that had already happened. But the loop in zombies is itself a paradox, the same as in MotD and Shangri La. Time travel follows basic principals in them, but in the rest of Black Ops 2 it seems as if time is colliding with itself. So maybe the future can still exist and interact with the past, even though their isnt a future. Idk im just rambling a bit about time travel to be honest. No problem rambling if it's entertaining, and I agree with you're statement, it's a loop that more than likely can't be changed, but we're trying to anyway. That's why I think Samantha succeeds in rewriting the zombie universe, but time itself keeps some things constant, the zombie outbreak being one of them. It might be a controversial statement, but we may have just erased every map we've played, making a clean slate as we "repeat" the loop. I can't help but think of a episode of futurama where the professor invents a rewind button for time, Fry takes the remote and hopes to propose to Leela, share the moment and rewind it to enjoy it as many times as he wants. Instead he thinks she doesn't want to marry him and jumps off a roof, on his decent down he sees leela, and realizes she was just late, he creates a time loops where he rewinds, but is still in free fall, basically being stuck in a loop of falling to his death. After MANY loops, the professor and crew find a way to stop Frys suicide. We're looping again in the game, but the cut scene could imply that this time it's going to be different. Someone is aware of it, and my money is on Maxis, his "plan" could be anything from a cure to a diversion of the end of the world. It's definitely disputable and I'm probably way off the mark, but it's still fun to entertain ideas and think yourself into a headache
  10. I see, but as time travel isn't a real thing, no one knows how it works for sure. It just seems that the only thing that doesn't change within time travel would be the objects traveling. The walnut from the future traveling backwards would no longer exist in the future, it would exist in the past, it would age, decay and would not exist in the time it had originally. Just like you exist today, but as of today, you don't exist tomorrow...
  11. I deleted the 2nd, I'll try to simplify it, and I'm only using the golden rod as an example. The rod is in what I think I remember to be Siberia, frozen. The CoTD cast retrieve it for Richtofen. Richtofen goes back in time to Shangri La, usues the Golden rod to make a key. Richtofen goes to Moon, more or less current time, uses the golden rod. There for it was never lost in Siberia, it's been in the possession of Richtofen from the time jump from SRL to Moon, making CoTD irrelevant and an unnecessary place to visit. Not they the players don't remember being there, just that CoTD cast have no memory because it technically didn't happen. Replace Richtofen with Samantha, replace golden rod with her being "freed" and replace the time jumps from SRL to Moon, to Origins and further onward. Just me two cents.
  12. I've always thought of them as just periods of time, and a long the way, whether we're going forward or back in time, we are making changes that alter our own reality. That is the whole basis to this game, to me anyway, is to alter timelines. In CotD for example, Richtofen went too far into the future by mistake, and in doing so changed our modern world, the 2000s, into a zombie infested hellhole. I'm sure he was planning on going to a time where everything wasn't frozen, making it easier to get the golden rod. But instead, Richtofen got lucky and was basically handed the Golden Rod, he then went back in time to use the Golden Rod with the Focusing stone to create the key to the pyramid. Fast forward to Moon, the golden rod is in Richtofen's possession, well into the current time of our own, thus making CoTD disappear from the timeline, not that Romero and cast didn't go to the area and film a movie, but rather it was a successful attempt that wasn't ruined by Richtofen, because he already has the rod and doesn't need to go to that area in our current time. Also not saying CoTD and Moon were on the same day, just in the time period of the player, us. If say, Takeo had managed to go back in time, and hide the golden rod in another location, he could have prevented Richtofen's past self from finding it, at least so easily. It's kind of the same for Origins, Samantha is rewriting the game more or less, so she doesn't lose power, or maybe so her and her father can just have a normal life. This is where it all blurs for me, the true intention of Samantha, all we know for sure is she doesn't want Richtofen to have his power. How she is aware of her fate before it actually happening I don't know, but to me she is aware eventually Richtofen will steal her power and lead to the worlds end. Freeing her merely allows her to create a fresh start, but perhaps some things can't be rewritten, as we hear sirens going off probably signaling an outbreak. I hope that wasn't too confusing.
  13. Well Exo zombies looks freaking amazing, guess I'll be getting my AW copy soon...

I'll probably rage quit if I get Malcovich though, him and Nickolas Cage are just a bunch of lose.

  14. There was no frustration, I respect everyone that is active at this moment. Was just a question and I got my answer
  15. Is there a rule or standard on the number of topics one should have in a certain amount of time? I may be the only one who is bothered by it but when I see obvious related topics by the same person, I can't help to ask myself why is it not an extension of the first topic? Maybe I'm just being picky lol, just thought I'd ask the question though because it makes things look messy to me...
  16. Well what took so long????? lol Grats Hells, you're an official part of the CoDz roadie crew, and might I say you look rather good in red.
  17. It's why it's still my top 3 best maps. It never lost that feeling of helplessness, it's not to be played for hours, no PaP no perks (unless you're on BO1) and it's just 100% survival skill. Plus I'm a fan of any Blue/Grey tone zombies map.
  18. Interesting.... This has just made me want to look into the connections of Origins and CoTD....I know they're in different places but why would CoTD team go THERE instead of the dig site? Looks like I finally have something to research.
  19. Holy moly-Os I just realized how similar Samantha Maxis(moon) and the Ghost from Buried look...I know it's not connected but almost looks lazy to me now lol

Remember stay green and recycle all you used textures and models for future installments. Buh-bye now.

  20. It's a movie, turned "real" through the original heroes showing up and messing with the time lines. It's as simple as George Romero doing his research, finding the events that took place there(necromancy ect ect) and thought it would be a good place to film. Richtofen shows up but is stuck in the room, after CoTD cast give him what he came for they go, and things go back to normal in that timeline. To me, George turns back to human and the cast survive, knowing no one would believe them, they keep it all secret. And a total shot in the dark on my part, but I think that when you hit George, you're playing into the split timeline where he WOULD be a zombie, the only reason the Cast would attack George would be because he is a zombie, therefor hitting him tilts the timeline in favor of zombification, I have no idea why water resets the timeline back to the middle, it's always what I thought though but no proof sadly.
  21. If anyone wants to see a small display of my art, mozy on down (that's right I said it) to the "Member" section and have a look-see. Just in case some of you never scroll that far down ;)

  22. Welcome to the site! Always good to see a fellow zombie slayer.
  23. ? Really? Is this in idea form or are you designing it yourself? Either way it's impressive, I was just being a goof
  24. How does one become.....legend? Thanks for the quick reply as well you two, didn't think many people scrolled this far down. @Boom
