  1. I'd have to create two columns, maps I don't play and maps I won't play. I've slowed down on zombies a lot, but I don't really like playing Moon or Die Rise anymore. Moon is a great story but I played that map into the ground, and I won't get into NML. Die Rise I didn't ever love to begin with, I'm just not a fan of the vertical aspect, it isn't difficult to make jumps nor navigate the elevators but my God, waiting waiting WAITING on everything is just a pain. Any time I play Die Rise, nobody uses keys but me, so it's "I got to wait for this elevator" "Make a crawler so I can PaP on round 3 please" "Ran out of AN-94 ammo be RIGHT back..." It drives me insane playing that map for long periods of time, so as of now it's the map I have the least fun playing. Two maps I refuse to play anymore, and will politely remove myself from any room want to play them. Buried and Ascension....SNOOOOZE Don't get me wrong, most of my hate is towards Buried for it's ridiculous safe zones, need for traps and of course infinite ammo wonder weapon. They had the right idea with the wild west image, I loved the hats popping off their heads like old western movies, and the story behind the ghost was alright, but that's all I can really say about Buried without being harsh. Ascension on the other hand, is still a great map. I love the atmosphere, the easter egg was the staple of what they should be (not necessary, but story driven and fun) and some of the funniest quotes are on that map. But like Moon, I played this map too much and totally killed the fun factor. Here is the reason I refuse to play what used to be my all time favorite map. It's easy, we all know that, so to even get a sense of accomplishment, I would have to beat my record, otherwise I have no reason to sit for hours running in circles on a map I consider harder to die than live on, those hours aren't spent trying to survive, they're just spent waiting (remember, I hate that lol) to get to a higher round than I have before. The thing is, it's not even a high round compared to the standard around here, I think it's 50-51 with two players (for the record my friend passed out and I carried the last two rounds haha), but even that took longer than I like to play, so right there tells me to play Ascension, I'm going to have to sit and grind to 50+ rounds before I even have the slightest goal or the small rush that playing zombies can usually offer me. So yea, got a little deep on that, sorry, but it's hard to explain why I refuse to play a map I love, I guess a good way to put it is, I have mentally topped out at that map. Good question by the way!
  2. Here's a thought, and I don't know if it applies to Xbox users. Does adding players to your block list prevent them from being pair with you in games? If so, just add anyone who glitches and either leave the game, troll them until they leave, or turn the turret on them. I don't play randoms so I don't want to test it, I've had my ps3 for years and have about 3 people on my block list mostly from Tekken.
  3. Tranzit is perfect whats yalls talkins bout? If I had to change anything, it would have been the story, and the characters but those are just cherries (rotten cherries) on the cake. I'm happy I don't have to just play Tranzit, but also happy that I own it. ...and WiiU runs at 1080p too
  4. Same with the Thundergun on BO1, everyone once in a while it doesn't do any damage, I just blow it off as a misfire and hope to god it doesn't happen on the last "bullet". Missing a group and having to reload is almost always instant down.
  5. I don't know if this will help, or if it is even legit. Lately, my friends have been pulling out their shields when riding the tank, and they don't go down. The death tank never happens to me, and I think it's because I'm the host almost always. I've been telling people if you are dropping to two bars, don't ride the tank. Just wanted to share that, like I said it could be pure coincidence but so far no one in my games have died riding the tank with a shield out.
  6. WIth Odin and the other two norse gods, it doesn't surprise me to see these. I didn't know much about them until the game came out, and oddly enough I just tattooed the whole Alphabet on a guy two days ago, so I immediately had to nerd out and tell him about the references in game, he was nice enough to pretend to care haha Still though, didn't know about the zombie blood hints, pretty cool!
  7. I was watching some Skyrim mods a few days ago and an idea popped into my head, and I wanted to share to see what you all though about it. In the video, a very talented player had created an arena, he would pit in game enemies against each other. The winner could carry on to the next round until he eventually met something that killed him, which that winner would go on ect ect. The idea was, what if there was a mode where we could pit say...40 zombies against a Panzer soldat, or Hell hounds VS Jumping Jacks? They system being, all start with full health, none of the monsters are controlled by players. The rounds carry over like they would in a regular zombies match, slash marks to tally the progress. For an example I'll use the zombies vs the Soldat. The soldat drops first, and like a normal round, zombies appear from the ground and roofs of the arena, no windows as he could just flame throw them and that's no fun for the zombies. The mode keeps the same zombie spawn number the same (around 20-23 right?) and as they die, more will come until the counter reaches zero, signifying all the zombies are dead (think NTZ), or if a set number of zombies can stay alive for lets say, 5 minutes, then they get increased attack speed, if they are killed the zombie that spawns in its place has no added benefits. In this mode, you get Vrill currency (whatever that may be..) to use in a separate, customizable section that allows cosmetic only additions to in game monsters. The currency is obtained by placing bets on who you think will win, losing results in loss of your bet, taking away the chance to unlock new features. Winning the bet will get your bet back, plus whatever the other players put in the pot, the more players the greater the winnings are. Once you have enough Vrill coins, you can go in to a Customization mode where you can buy colors and textures/outfits for the monsters. You don't like blue eyes? Buy red ones. You miss the Nazi uniforms from WaW and BO1? Buy them. You get the idea. I really would like to see something like this added into the game, imaging getting to choose how your zombies look, sound and move(remember though, changing movement would only be cosmetic, like the Karate stance in Shino Numa) And would make joining random games appeal a lot more, at least for a while. There are two problems however, to some, it may be really boring to sit and watch monsters fighting each other. My only idea to counter this would be to intergrade some option to create a Dead Ops battle outside the arena just so you can kill things. An overhead view of the Arena, with you and your friends on the outside, fighting zombies that are piling up outside. There would be no real reason, or benefit other than the ones who would rather play than watch. The second problem being, I don't know how many hit points a zombie has, compared to a Soldat. So of course the people at Treyarch would have to balance it better than I have, 40 Zs vs 1 Soldat could be un even, or maybe 40 isn't close to enough to give a soldat a challenge. Because most don't want to see the return of the bank, this would create an out of game bank that would be used to just spice up the look of things to fit your interest. I've always been a huge fan of custom colors and items in video games, and from what I've played, they've always been successful. A prime example is Tekken Tag 2, I wouldn't have ran through arcade mode over and over if it wasn't for all the money I was making to change the appearance of my fighter. Short and simple, hope you liked it and leave a suggestion on what you think a mode like this could be called.
  8. I've seen the Moon man glitched out before, I know how to do it, but I don't think it's allowed to share, he just does a weird disco dance. But as long as you are not playing with your TV muted, he really poses little to no threat, just listen for his spacey Jason Voorhees music. Mulekick area is my favorite spot to run (or jump float..) for a number of reasons. A: I enjoy the 74u, even on BO2 so I get to keep a steady stream of ammo, hacking it to give cheap PaP ammo. B: It's the same shape as the center Biodome, which is my second favorite place to run so it's familiar to me, and has very little chance of getting cornered. C. It's a quick escape to the Pyramid if need be, I can be close enough to revive people in the biodome, or in the tunnles (usually) because the Mule kick area has access to most of the map very quickly. D: In my experience, people can't run this loop very well, so I rarely get any trouble when I want to run there, no one argues because technically, there are a few other easier places to run. E: I enjoy the scenery, inside, or in the biodome, it's kind of a generic space station, grey/white and blue areas with yellow and orange lights/buttons. It's cool but I'd rather be outside.
  9. I wasn't aware you could keep doing EEs unless you had people in the group that had not completed it, or obviously hitting the buried button and resetting everything. That's why I don't do them, or it's the biggest reason. I've already done all but Buried and Origins so when I play the maps I've completed, it's with the same people that helped me get it in the first place. And also DBZ reason, it's just a huge chore to do them, they're not fun, and the rewards are less than desirable. Most maps you can get all perks without doing an EE and to me, that was the mother of all rewards in BO1, having a full perk set. I haven't played Buried since about late October, I went 60 rounds and it resulted in me absolutely hating the map, and no offence to those who enjoy it. Origins is still hard to me, not to stay alive, but to do all the steps before the rounds get too high, there is always something that happens and it gets ruined. We've literally made it to the last step where you kill lots of zombies under the crazy place's center stage, we died. MOTD is the only EE that I can consistently want to do, because it doesn't feel like you're doing anything but setting up yourself for high rounds. So many times we just play the map and by the next hour, we just have to do afterlife and ride the plane to the bridge a last time, we don't do it but what I'm trying to say is it's a linear goal in that map, the steps you take to complete it, actually help you become stronger in the game anyway so why not?
  10. Obviously they wanted to do the Easter egg, if you didn't then you were not the right match for that team. Whether they are bad or good players, if there is a plan to finish the easter egg then everyone must be on board. Otherwise, you get players that just push through rounds when the rest are trying to do the steps, the farther in rounds you get, the harder, or longer it takes to finish it. I'm still trying to finish it....and my team hasn't played Origins with me in almost 2 weeks because my aim is the easter egg, totally fine with that, when they are ready again we will try another time.
  11. Yes that is the quote, just makes sense he either contacted another agency as a double agent, or ate some flesh...
  12. Well perhaps if it bounced, I was picturing the animation it already makes by stabbing in the ground. Who knows, this could make an awesome feature, or perhaps a secondary use for the next WW, like the revive tool on the Staffs of the ancients. It's not OP just because I say so lol
  13. So, then what do you think the whole quote bits about Marleton being a liar? I always thought that played into his work but I guess he does mention in the Die Rise video they picked M&M up at Tranzit. It's probably never going to be found out....I mean by that account I could just say Marleton remembers Russman, but Russman has forgotten about Marleton, it just goes on and on and on lol
  14. Here's something I've wondered for a while. Why was Russman fired from Broken Arrow? He makes quotes about doing or trying something only once so do you think he tried to eat zombie flesh, and was caught by Marleton, somehow getting them both expelled? I do believe the Russman quote is on Die Rise, it's a PaP quote and you should find it in Slades, or maybe Tac's storyline quote thread.
  15. I think it would be a little overpowered, unless there was a super small window for it to work, you could get good enough with it to shoot past a horde and bypass them completely. It would be cool if you could get the knife, use it to kill and revive as usual. Or you could stick it in the ground where ever you want and lose it, but giving you a tactical insertion in case you bleed out, you get a guaranteed spot to respawn in instead of coming back to life in a bad spot.
  16. Still not as bad as when she says Argartha. "Arhgarthuuuuh" Was she trying to impersonate Goofy? I cringe everytime that quote comes on in game....argarthuhhhhh lol
  17. If you get the right team, you can get into the 40s in under a few hours. The ones that need a crawler or window zombie every round or two are the ones that make the game take too long, it's been an annoying thing for me since I can remember. Can't understand how someone couldn't use a An94 until the 30s, and get you a box weapon if you feel like it. I have a pretty strange outlook on fun factor on zombies, I'd rather have a little struggle in the rounds than just run the same loop and try to not fall asleep. Of course, when we go for high rounds it's all about routine and not getting in anyone's way. But usually if I am out of ammo, I'll just say start the round and go a wall weapon or restock the ammo from a wall weapon. It doesn't take much to know to do your bathroom, smoking and eating before we start, if you have to use the restroom an hour or whatever from then, then fine I just hate the "I need to use the restroom"(comes back) "Now I need to smoke, and get some food and sit here and eat it" It's more fun for me to power through to high rounds and risk failure than to stick to my guns and take the methodical, slower approach. I don't even consider myself great, I've played since W@W so I guess that makes me ok at the game, but even still there are all sorts of skill levels out there, more than a rank can describe so it's just about finding the people that enjoy the same pace you do. And I respect the idea some think Tranzit is annoying, I just think it requires a more serious player because yes it's a bit testy to go down and bleed out because someone is in town and you're at the Diner, still though, I love the feeling the map has, it really looks like a destroyed earth, and the voices of the dead citizens are a great touch.
  18. Dead Ops would be cool, I miss the break that game gave me from having to worry about ammo and perks lol
  19. They are even noted in the game files as Side quests, so it's true they're not easter eggs, because like you've stated, it has to be found by looking not listening. I wouldn't mind a combination of the two, have two goals in zombies, one having a storyline driven EASTER EGG that requires time and research to complete. Then have a character advance story Side quest that fills in gaps between maps. For example, the easter egg on Tranzit could have been lighting the spires like we did, but without so much voice context and obvious hints. The side quest being, discovering what went on inside the PaP room, why there is a Nacht in the corn fields, and choice to end game that lets us know how they all met, and have Die rise pick up in the cut scene while we're still in Tranzit, so we get to witness the whole teleporting thing. There is just so many little things that could be explained through side quests, while the main story is driven by doing the easter eggs we were used to. I dunno, would work for me lol
  20. I noticed hit detection as soon as I started playing BO2, I think with the larger places, also the fact they come straight from the ground more than ever, it's a fair balance to tone them down a bit. I've died a few times on BO1 just being in the mind set I am in when hoarding on BO2, you can run by a pile on 2 and get hit a couple times, but it seems they all hit you at once on BO1, which was more challenging, but not by much. I still can't figure out why people hate Tranzit, I figured everyone would know how to navigate the lava pits by now and the fog is a joke, you can get in the habbit of using the knuckles without even turning around to hit a denizen, if timed right you can kill them in front of you, even though they are behind you. I won't say it's a great map, it was just a ballsy attempt at a campaign style mode that fell short, unfinished parts of story/easter eggs left in the game is a huge no no, at least they could have told us so we didn't waste all that time, following all those false discoveries from the community. What made this game too easy was persistent upgrades, or the ones like flopper on Buried, an already overly easy map, the Tombstone upgrade is amazing, but lets be honest, it's OP on maps like Tranzit where it can be a challenge to collect all your perks at the beginning of a high round, or even during mid round. Buildable traps were also OP in my opinion, they were underrated in Tranzit but I can run the Diner with a shield almost effortlessly, when it breaks I notice an instant increase in having to survive. We wont get into the bank/fridge lol I'll also add with each map, we get a new perk, and while they don't all carry over to other maps, the standard reward/goal is to obtain all perks in whatever map you are on, and almost all maps allow it, therefor, the game becomes insanely easy with 6-8 perks going at once. I love most of these features, and appreciate Treyarch's attempt at innovation, we say we now want another BO1, but I guarantee you that if we just got the BO1 experience there would lots of fans upset they paid full price for what should have been DLC. I'll hold BO1 over BO2 any day, but I'm glad they at least TRIED to take it to a new level, in many ways it failed, but with all the feedback, and the experience itself, they have a great base to build the next Zombies game on. If it were up to me, less buildables, real easter eggs with little to no hints (definitely no voice hints) and for the love of God...let us keep DT 2.0
  21. Yea sorry I didn't mean release, I meant the first trailer/announcement, which for me is where it begins anyway. Sometimes the anticipation and the small window of in the dark theories are the best part. Anyway just think of all the small things like I said, the wait shouldn't be so bad. Not to mention the plethora of amazing titles that are coming out this year!
  22. So your idea is that, the drill is still active, but we can't see it because of the smoke protruding from Earth? It would explain where the perks are coming from, I guess, of course that just raises more unanswered questions as to why they needed the perks up there to begin with. Thanks for replying anyway was starting to think I wasted my time haha.
  23. I've always been on the fence on the bank, I love the fridge and hope they keep it, but the bank can make the game easier and discredits your achievements. For me, if you made it to round 80 by using a bank or not then I am impressed, you may not have made it that far without spending 20k on the box to get a mark two or whatever weapon you like, but the same could be said for using the box in general. Do you discredit someone who goes into high rounds with a Thundergun or Wunderwaffe? I don't. Please don't take it as a rant because it's not, but as far as the bank goes, if they are going to start splitting up leader boards, or rewarding/punishing you for using it, then I think it would just be a better idea to remove it all together. I have never been a fan of the leaderboards to begin with, like with most games, usually the top 50-100 players have at least half of the players getting that high by using exploits, so I mainly focus on my Friends filter on the leaderboards and try to stay on top of that list. If they start adding separate brackets for modes and how they are played then I just see a giant mess but that's just me I could be wrong, usually am haha. I sort of like your idea though on what I think you were describing, it might work but then all that is going to do is create more exclusion for the people who just lack skill but want to get better, not to mention people just have bad weeks or days. I remember when people started getting the shotgun rank, on the activision forums people were looking for help with easter eggs and high rounds, but would only take shotgun ranks....just silly to me.
  24. True true...I can think of one glitch I used to use with a specific group of people I played with back when I had an Xbox 360. They for some reason, could never save a crawler for me, I would take a break and come back to death or no perks (usually losing my Mulekick weapon) so when we played Moon, I would take my breaks in the spot by flopper that allows you to mask yourself from being detected. I used to try the spot on COTD outside the lighthouse but that's tricky. I since killed my xbox (more like it committed suicide) and I made the switch to ps3 and have a team I can more than not, rely on keeping my alive while away from my TV. Just throwing that out there for debate. Do you think it's hypocritical for me to say I hate glitching in games, but use them to protect myself while being away from the game? I guess technically I could be gone for a round or two and that would be considered by most to be glitching but I usually only take breaks to get a glass of tea or pee, I save the #2 for after game lol
  25. This would be a great time, better than any, to release a compendium of all the unanswered questions, or have a book/comic book written up to date. Really anything that can keep the flow of zombies going. BO1 still has the replay ability for me so I think I will always play that game, at least until BO3. Black Ops two however, I get so burned out on but it's strange because they do have replay ability, it's just different than BO1. On black ops1, we have a lot more to choose from in terms of maps, so I can get bored of say, the map Moon, play 3-4 other maps for days or hours on end, and by the time I am bored with those maps, Moon feels fresh again, so on and so forth. Black ops 2 tried to make up in modes, what it lacked in maps. I'm sorry but you can't chop up a map into three parts (Tranzit) and tell me that makes four maps, I won't even bother with an analogy. On the other hand, Black Ops 2 maps have more content that requires more searching/building as well as elaborate, two sided easter eggs that span the whole game, I enjoyed this feature the most out of anything in BO2, even if it fell short for me story wise. So here we have a game that is loaded with maps from W@W and has it's own, they are played to death and little to nothing is left to discover, but they are still lots of fun and even though they aren't that old, hold a feeling of nostalgia for me. Then we have Black Ops 2, a game that requires much time to do easter eggs, there is still plenty of discoveries left, nothing special just the small things, they are still out there I'm sure. That should make for a not so agonizing two years of waiting, as long as the forum stays up and running, we can continue to keep ideas fresh and hopefully (HOPEFULLY) help smooth out the next installment through our own ideas and theories. And I personally can't wait to get my hands on the WaW mod tools for PC, I don't know how elaborate they are, but I remember making some pretty impressive stuff with the Elderscrolls 3:Morrowind map tools so I may end up diving into that hardcore rather than just playing the custom maps so much. Plus we have MMX zombie story video to wait for so just try to focus on the releasing of little things to make it seem like less time, sort of like I do at work, I count every hour down like it's the last instead of counting the 9-10 hours all at once, sounds stupid but it works! Edit: I just realized that in fact we just have to wait one more year, so even better, unless they are starting the cycle over (no pun intended) and Treyarch just gets to be last....IW already had their turn and now SH does their version, and this time next year we'll get some zombies info.
