Hi my name is Andrew Augustson and I am a huge zombie fan and i love the story. One thing that has been on my mind is the time setting of the story now. Iv been doing a lot of research recently and I would like some input.
So to my understanding Der Riese is in 1945, then the original characters time travel to kino der toten in 1968. After this we have Five and Ascension happening at the same time but yet iv herd people say that they are around a year apart but i know they have to be on the same day, so my question is when is that day? Next they time travel to call of the dead which we know is in the present time and to my research was on March 17th 2012. After that the original crew goes to Shringri-La which i honestly have no clue as to what time this map takes place.
To my understanding in the Easter Egg on Shringri-La there is a lot of time traveling on the map to save the two scientist. So any help here would be much appreciated
Next we have Moon. So I understand there is a big question from here as to what time period they are in and so on to green run and nuke town zombies. What I have been able to come up with is that Moon and Nuketown Must have happend on July 6th, 1962. I have found strong evidence to support this.
*I believable Nuketown is on the edge of the Sedan crator.
*The map is suppose to take place after a multiplayer match on black ops. the time period on black ops ranges from April 17th, 1961 - February 26th, 1968. this does not include project nova set in 1945.
*The Sedan Experiment bomb went off on July 6th, 1962. This fits in the black ops time period.
*The Sedan Bomb or at lest the Nuketown bomb had to have gone off before October 10, 1963 because of the nuclear bomb treaty signed on that date.
*Moon and Nuketown take place at the exact same time.
The next map Green Run is also unknown to what time period it is in. I have found evidence that gives me two(2) time periods it could possibly be at. Either right after Moon and Nuketown on or around July 6th, 1962 or sometime in the present in 2025 (present being the black ops 2 time period).
So here our my ideas for green run to be set in 1962.
*the entire map seems to look like the 1962 time period , and its hard to see why green run would still look like that in 2025.
*we have the new set of 4 characters on green run, this includes Marlton, who is also in nuketown.
* If Nuketown happened on july 6th, 1962 and marlton is there i would probably guess that green run would actualy be a little latior becuse marlton would need time to get to green run, this could be by the bus picking him up that can be herd in nuketown.
Here is my theory on how Green run could happen in 2025.
* Green Run could be in 2025 becuse that is the time period that black ops 2 take place.
* On the farm Dr. Maxis can be herd on the t.v. in a radio transmission saying that he has searched decades to find someone who can help him with the green run easter egg . Maxis probably would have started his search after moon and decades later would make sense to be in 2025.
*The next DLC map Die Rise seems to take place in 2025 because of the huge new looking skyscrapers. but this could only be because the characters could possibly time travel there.
A few more things i would like to point out.
*if green run is in 2025, marlton could have time travel to nuketown in 1962 with his watch that some people believe can allow him to time travel.
* if moon and nuketown are in 1962 and green run is in 2025 , that is a huge time period gap that no one knows what could have happened and I do not think it would make sense because you would think people would have learned a lot more about the zombies or richtoven would have all ready gone crazy and taken over.
* If this is true ^^^ then that would explain why green run still looks the same as 1962 because the zombies would have caused them to not change and everyone is dead and no one has been there sense the outbreak, but then I wonder why our 4 new characters are there to begin with then.
So there you go! Im sorry this is so long but this is my first post and i just really was excited to throw my own theory's out to you guys! I would love some feedback and some help explaining things! So please let me know what you think :D
