  1. You, my friend, are onto something. From this description of Nuketown: http://www.callofduty.com/blackops2/dlc/seasonpass and the wonder weapons on the laboratory table at Five, we know that America was trying to be right behind Group 935, the Group that tested element 115 and made the zombies with Maxis and Rhictofen. Perhaps they were named Group 936? If they were testing zombies, it would explain why they have an exact copy of Nacht der Untoten in Green Run, and prove that Marlton was a part of 935! (see my other post in Asylum.) If this gets proved, we would've had a HUGE find in the zombies storyline.
  2. Hi, There are a lot of theories out there without real evidence about how Marlton is a time travelling scientist from the future to save us, or how he's some huge traitor siding with Rhichtofen. I've recently found something that finally proves that it's all a load of bull. So I was on callofduty.com, and decided to look at information about the BOII Season Pass, and found an interesting description of Nuketown. (link: http://www.callofduty.com/blackops2/dlc/seasonpass )If you don't feel like going there, it says at one point: "A group of radiation scientists are investigating the Nuketown remains and discover soldiers that have been revived by Element 115 from a nearby Nevada base. The zombie soldiers attack the radiation scientists and turn them, and after receiving a distress signal, the base in Nevada sends in CIA and CDC agents to investigate." Ok, HUGE story explainer right there. The theory I get from this is as follows: Marlton was with those radiation scientists working at Area 51, and was doing experiments with 115 before he became trapped in the Nuketown Fallout Shelter. Sort of like an American Rhictofen, but without a personal vendetta against guy like Maxis. He was with the scientists we hear the radio transmissions through the TV at Farm from at Nuketown, (edit: Jackass Flats. Thanks @charries96.) proved by when you hear the coordinates. They had started hearing Rhictofen and Maxis giving orders, telling them to bring each other down. The scientists became torn and started fighting. Zombies came, and a Grief match of sorts arose. In the end, they all were turned except for Marlton, who had picked no side. (edit: see update.) They exiled him for this, shown in the quote heard from him in the shelter: "...abandoning someone for being different..."and he hid in the fallout shelter for safety. All scientists were killed, and the CIA/CDC came. Now for my lesser proved theory. You know how you hear T.E.D.D.'s horn go off near Nuketown? I think that the original route he was supposed to take passed near it. When T.E.D.D. passes the blocked road next to the diner, he says: "Error, error. Global Positioning Navigation Error. Continuing current automatic rerouting system." or something on the lines of that. This shows that T.E.D.D. could have been on an original route by Nuketown, and instead was looped back into Green Run. Perhaps Marlton followed T.E.D.D. on the bike (edit: It's more probable that he ditched the bike and jumped on T.E.D.D.'s bus. That would explain how he made it so far, and we see no bike in Green Run. Thanks @Infest and everyone else who pointed it out.) or something like it to get to the bus station? This part is unconfirmed, and I really would like to hear your theories. Please just add reason to why you think you know what's happened. We, as the community, don't need any more nonsense theories or trolls out there. Good luck! Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this! UPDATE: First, something small that I didn't include in the OP. I think that the scientists at Jackass Flats never had actually went to Nuketown. The zombies are the ones who had actually put on the equipment to stay safe from the radiation and go out there to get samples, whereas Marlton and everyone else there were the people that studied it. Next: oM Blitz really changed my mind and summarized the bottom half of the story perfectly. It's more likely that all of the scientists at Jackass Flats (excluding Marlton) consumed the Flesh, not just half and half. Speaking of the Flesh, I believe that everyone in it are the people that have a direct mental link to Richtofen. Something with the 115 in the body makes me think it must have some effect on the body, and it would explain why Samuel is the only one who can hear Richtofen outside of the drops. As per something I had recently read on another thread, (sorry for not citing who, can't remember off the top of my head,) perhaps the drops have a direct link to the Aether, and sense Marlton didn't eat/join the Flesh, he can only hear Richtofen during the effects of the drops.
  3. Actually, instead of it being that complicated, I think the Pylon is a radio transmitter to the zombie's heads. Maxis wants it to destroy Rhictofen's power, and Rhictofen wants to gain power. I think that by the end of this there will be two separate endings, one with Maxis taking power over the zombies or ending Rhictofen's power somehow, and one where Rhictofen gains power. I did my research, and in a blueprint made by Nickola Tesla, whom Treyarch has been copying lately, there are two Pylon looking things transmitting radio waves worldwide, creating a single source of power for everyone on Earth. Rhictofen wants it to transmit waves to the zombies to do something, and Maxis defiantly wants it to end Rhictofen and take the zombies. SO, in other EE's in DLC, my theory is we will be doing tasks following whichever side you originally picked in Green Run. I think that the connection from Green Run to Die Rise is that Rhictofen or Maxis, depending on which side you did, sent you there to continue their missions. If my theory is right, I think by the ending of this, the Rhictofen side will be more rewarding considering how much harder it is to complete then Maxis's.
  4. Hi, I've recently been seeing all of these people mentioning new things happening in the DLC, like Shi No Numa being in Revolution and stuff. Well, I'm starting to think that Treyarch putting Nacht into Green Run was just for kicks and gigs. Going back to WaW, the actual map looks nothing like the Nacht in Green Run. You are attacked by zombies in full Nazi uniforms, so unless Green Run, an area located in America, was secretly full of Nazis, then either the original Nacht is non cannon, or the one in Green Run is. Either this, or my theory, which I think it is a way it fits into the storyline. Perhaps Group 935 had created Nacht as a testing area for the supersoldiers, and the Americans trying to keep up, (as shown in the map Five with the wonderweapons and 115 references,) recreated the testing facility so that they could match 935's stride, showing that there are two or more Nacht der Untotens across the world. If you have any other suggestions or theories, please post them, and if you have evidence to show I am wrong, feel free to show me wrong.
  5. I think they just put it in there for fun. In World at War, it really seems like you're somewhere in Germany, consider they are all zombies with the whole Nazi getup going. Unless of course the U.S. is full of Nazis. Which is unlikely.
  6. I think that maybe the type of map that the campaign mission "Suffer With Me" took place in will become a zombie map. In BO1, Treyarch hinted at maps and released DLC based off of campaign missions, excluding Moon. And in the campaign missions, there were actually hints at zombies in them. For example, the map Ascension was hinted in it's campaign mission by a blue light shining into the sky in the distance, and some of the scientists there becoming burned and looking like zombies. Also, one more map hinting Shangri La was with soldiers being held down and thrashing, and you could hear people saying "I don't know what's wrong with them." So, in Suffer With Me, you start dragging Noreiga to a prisoner exchange. Well, if you explore a little at the exchange point, you actually see soldiers being restrained and thrashing like the ones hinting at Shangri La, and a few of them are charred and have that zombie look.
