Peter Livingstone is a guy that works on the zombie maps. A few people tweeted him about it and he let us know it's just a little Easter Egg he dropped in for fun. The attatched picture: It's similar to the naming of the upgraded Wunderwaffe, the Wunderwaffe DG 3 JZ, as in Jimmy Zielinski. I recommend following him @flyinhaggis. I originally thought this thread was just pointing out the little Easter Egg, but when I saw 31 replies I decided to check it out. I apologize for not letting you guys know sooner, before all this research.

I've always liked Russman from the start. The others of the 4 always used to have quotes that'd bother me. Marlton talked too much in a panicked voice, Misty always yelled, and Stu was always nervous. Russ, however, had a calmer voice, and his quotes actually made me laugh. I actually liked him more back in Die Rise/TranZit before he had this whole mysterious story sort of thing going. I liked thinking he was an old hobo making fun of the zombies as he took them down.

PLEASE TREYARCH, remove the trample steam from Grief
bagel_ replied to TheBSZombie's topic in Buried
I'm more used to seeing people glitching with the Paralyzer, but I don't think it should be entirely removed from the map. Buried has been out for just 3 days. Treyarc will patch the exploits soon. -
If there is no indicator to hold x, it means the NAVcard has already been accepted. If this is the case on every map, then you're done with the NAVcards completely. To do the final Easter Egg endgame in Buried, however, you must complete the TranZit, Die Rise, and Buried Easter Eggs entirely following Maxis or Richtofen every time.
-
It was said that before the entire endgame idea, the NAVcards had a purpose that wasn't really for storyline. When you linked the tables, you would unlock some new gamemode accessible from the main menu, but they nixed that idea and went with this. Basically, the NAVcards weren't supposed to be in for storyline, but for gameplay purposes, like the HUD. We could make up however they linked these tables, but the reason back in TranZit's days was for a new gamemode.

The Aether is another dimension, and is pretty much Hell. From there, a person's soul can control this energy that's in all things, giving you ultimate power and control over everything. That's why Richtofen wanted to be in the Aether so badly. Agartha, however, is an entirely different thing. It's a mythological place somewhere in the core of Earth. Gravity is supposedly backwords, and beautiful cities tower underground, facing the center of the Earth. In the center of the Earth, there's supposedly a huge ball of Energy like a sun shining above Agartha. Some conspiracies state that the more elite of humanity lives down there with an alien race known as the Vril-ya. The concept of Agartha was very important in the map Shangri La from BO 1 zombies. At the end of the Easter Egg for Maxis' side, he says "I will finally reach Agartha!" Now, the importance of this city to Maxis is unconfirmed, but I have a theory on it. Maxis says that he is tearing apart Earth and killing all of humanity to be reunited with his daughter, and that he's finally going to reach Agartha. I assume he meant that he and his daughter are going to join the Vril-ya and the elite of humanity and live happily ever after.

I say Maxis, simply because we are being put up too much to think he's the bad guy and it's best to stay with our favorite German. Though I do love Ed, and his EE reward was so rewarding, I feel like in the Final DLC, Maxis will bring the more interesting story to the table.

That's insane. My friends and I have been attempting to use the alley to get to Jug with the usual round 30 fails. That looks much more foolproof and easy. Hopefully 3arc doesn't patch that spot for being too easy. Awesome find nayrc.

I actually agree with what you said about the O4. I've just seen so much from people like Vonderhaar talking about killing off the N4 and bringing the old guys back in, and the fact that we just had this 5 minute cutscene for Buried revealing their past and this bonding going on we didn't see in Die Rise or TranZit. I think they're giving us this emotional connection so it'd be reasonable to kill them off. I made a thread asking about if people would rather see the O4 or N4 in the final DLC. 20 said O4, and 2 said N4. The demand is too high for 3arc to ignore IMO. (I was one of the 2 to say N4 ) the storyline with the N4 pre-Buried was sorta bad, and I think the only reason they'd have this plot twist is to redeem it. Upon looking into this and listening to some of the Blue Eyed zombies' quotes, you're right. That is Richtofen's new physical form. However, I still doubt Maxis would leave Sam in Richtofen's body. Perhaps he'll bring her into the Aether as well. Hopefully Richtofen won't stay like this forever  Very true. Maxis technically isn't the "Bad Guy". It depends on how you look at things. He's going to huge lengths to save his daughter, even ending humanity just to be with her. In a way, that's a good guy thing, but mainly very bad. And yes, I think that the Moon will survive this incident. Perhaps the O4 will travel from there into Agartha. And last thing: The term for the "perks" you receive in BO2 zombies for specific things, like Head Popper, Iron Boards, Red Insta Kill, etc. have been named "Persistent Upgrades" in 3arc's update notes. Don't confuse these with the actual term Perma Perks, for the perks that are actually, well, permanent. So yes, you're right. You gain the normal perks permanently :)
-
If you complete the Easter Egg without linking the towers and pushing the button in the courtroom, you gain perma-perks. It gives you every perk, and you keep them if you go down or die then get picked back up or respawn. If you push the button and followed Maxis, he becomes the demonic announcer. If you do but followed Richtofen, you are given a permanent fire sale for the rest of the game.

I thought they got rid of the whole "Nazi" concept because of ESRB ratings and because it was offensive. Yet I don't get why that got nixed but there are other games out there with things like pentagrams and rape incorporated.

I felt the need to revive this thread when I saw this today.

I absolutely love getting 105 views and then 0 responses.

I made a thread an hour before the creation of this one about literally the exact same content that didn't get any attention. viewtopic.php?f=152&t=33434 I think we're done with the N4

Whaddup guys, Hopefully most of you have seen the endings to the Maxis/Richtofen Easter Eggs. As Treyarch promised, we've been given a ton of storyline info, and we seem to be done with the Maxis/Richtofen sidequests. These aren't necessarily the endings to Buried, but to the TranZit and Die Rise Eggs as well. For those of you who haven't seen them, here they are: [spoilerS FOLLOW! If you don't want the endings to be spoiled, I recommend clicking off of this thread now!] Thanks for reading! bagel_, out.

Holy crap, that's hilarious That's actually a very helpful feature. +1 to you sir.

I like to call him Craig.

As the title states, the Buried NAVcard is compatible with TranZit! I've also heard the Die Rise card works on Buried. Guys, we now have all our NAVcard tables linked. After this Easter Egg is completed, I don't even know what will happen next.

How to get the "Electoplasmic Residue" achievement
bagel_ replied to MF_MaxiMillion's topic in Buried
Speaking of NAVcards, If you currently have it, build the NAVcard table and stick the Die Rise one in! egDkxBAJux8 After this, try sticking that one in TranZit's. -
Ahh, I found what you meant. I got pictures of the loading screen and highlighted what you are talking about. The Red indicates the page directly after Buried. It also has a tear in the top right corner. The Blue indicates the page after the next map. It is visible through the double tears in the comic book. We've seen this before back in CotD. Note that in Ascension's page, there is no rip. But at CotD, there is now a rip on Ascension and Shangri La. At Shangri La, we are able to see 2 pages back at the Ascension Screen. We are seeing the same thing with the Buried tear, but forward instead of backward. We can see 2 pages ahead, not to the direct next page.

This weapon... Though it will be used for good, some will place it on round 1 then use it on round 20... Anddd I'm willing to bet it will be used for the Achievement that says "In Buried, rewrite History on them." Like what Xieon said.

Well that sure is interesting. the last time we saw a white orb was in the Ascension Easter Egg as well! Perhaps these orbs are souls of some sort...?

Whaddup guys, I decided to watch a Buried pre-release gameplay by TheSyndicateProject, and in it, he was explaining the purpose of the new Perk, Vulture Aid Elixir. However, in the footage, he was also using a turbine to power a new buildable that was called the "Subsurface Resonator". OeLH0Q4me-Y Mobile users, tap here. (Skip to 1:15) As you can see, turbines are in the map and most likely will be needed to power doors and such, and this Subsurface Resonator seems like almost a claymore, sending what seemed liked a thundergun wave in the direction the player had placed it, and let out a noise that sounded like the Scaveger. I'm assuming that this new buildable is the one we must use for the new achievement, Death From Below. Death From Below In Buried, drop the beat on 10 zombies. Just a small tidbit of info I'd like to share before the map is released in a few hours. I wish they didn't let us know this much. bagel_, out.
