Hmm. This was very interesting. By revealing Russman's past, we now know that Russ was an Agent for Broken Arrow, where he met Stuhlinger back in his youth. After an outbreak there, they took the Bus to Hanford, where they met Marlton and Misty. This gets Stuh and Russ' past out of the way. We know Marlton was a scientist at Area 51 and escaped after the outbreak there, but before the missiles from Moon hit, and he met Misty in Hanford. So now, what of Misty's past?

Whaddup guys, Today, a ton of pre-release gameplay was released by several big Youtubers out there. One of the biggest gameplays was by Ali-A, and he showed off many of the new features of the new gamemode, Buried. (The actual map is called Resolution 1295, but whatever.) I'll cut to the chase and tell you all what I managed to pick off from the video. Acquiring the Paralyzer: The Paralyzer is a weapon that you may get from the Box, like the Wunderwaffe, Thunder Gun, VR 11, Scavenger, Baby Gun, Wave Gun, and Blundergat. It has a very unique shape, and seems almost like something right out of Halo 4. If you manage to pull this out of the box in your first playthrough, be prepared to crap yourself. I assume there can only be one, unlike how you can have two Blundergats in MotD. Using the Paralyzer: As seen in the pictures, this gun "shoots" a constant gas-like substance, making zombies slow down until they are at a complete stop. If the gun is still being shot at this state, the zombies will burst into a puff of white smoke, leaving blood and guts all over the floor. You'll probably notice there is no ammo count on the HUD for this weapon. Instead, there is a "temperature" meter that counts up on it, very similar to the Jet Gun. It is circled in the third photo. I used the stopwatch on my phone to do a little math and breakdown how this counter actually works. By simply holding down the trigger, the meter on the gun goes up 10 digits per second, while letting it cool down makes the digits drop by 5 per second. Unfortunately, this meter goes up to 150, then the gun overheats, giving you 15 seconds to shoot it constantly before you are unable to use it. If the weapon overheats, the gun is unusable for 30 seconds, then you may go back to tearing through your hoards. A good thing about the weapon is that it lets you know it is close to overheating by changing the whiter, illuminated colors of the weapon from white to red, so you'll have a good indicator of when it's time to let the gun cool down. The weapon takes exactly 1.5 seconds to kill a zombie with constant firing on it. So, if you fired upon one zombie after another without taking your finger off the trigger, you could essentially kill 100 zombies, which is definitely more than enough. You do not get points for using the weapon on zombies. Instead, you are given 50 points for every zombie you kill with it. This weapon is very similar to the Jet Gun, but in a way it actually should've been made. The Paralyzer and Sidequests: Around the map, there are these red orbs sitting on pedestals, and if you fire a constant blast of the Paralyzer unto them, they change color from red to white, and when they are fully charged, an audio que plays. This obviously means that this is of importance. Perhaps we are looking at the first step of the Easter Egg, or maybe a way to access other areas of the map. If you want to see a ton of pre-release footage, check out Xperiment's thread here, and thank you for reading! bagel_, out.

i wouldnt say "trapped"...they had teleporters Mocking Me meant that Sam's soul is trapped in Richtofen's body, not the characters trapped on the moon. but @Mocking Me I agree. And if it was Sam, it'd mean the rest of the O4 would be with her as well. I think that what they meant about more story getting revealed is more about what's going on with the towers, what Richtofen's and Maxis' motives are, and perhaps the fate of the N4. I think that the Easter Egg is going to be the thing that explains everything that happens.Maybe they'll drop a few audio quotes explaining their past, and leave us on a cliff hanger of what is going to happen next to Earth and the zombies.

In preparation for Buried, EE hunters/helpers unite!?
bagel_ replied to The Clay Bird's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I'm definitely down for this! I'll Friend Request/Msg anyone on Xbox who has already posted their GT, and tell ya'll I'm from CoDz. My GT is "Double XL Nug" and I live in EST. We should be able to work a good time out whenever we're online at the same time. -
Hey Flaquito! How ya doin? It's good to hear you've made an account. While you're here, maybe you can help create some Easter Guides as well as discover the storyline with us! I'm sure you'll have a nice time around these forums. Hopefully I'll catch you in other areas of this website. See ya around!

You can access the bank/fridge. I don't even have the Die Rise table built and I can still access it in Solo.
-
Yes, that would be a definite indicator the p-perk is no longer in use. Also, it's ok to continue the conversation. I enjoy this sort of discussion :D
-
The weapon's locker is the same thing as the fridge in TranZit and Die Rise. You can only store one weapon at a time, excluding frags and tacticals, and certain weapons may not be put in the fridge. :|

I wish we were seeing the return of Gersch devices instead. Monkeys make crawlers, and Gerschs allow you to TP away from dangerous areas. Also, I think it's safe to assume that the Wonder Weapon will not have effects that attract zombies, like the Vitrolic Withering or Awful Lawton. I wonder what it will be?

Keep in mind that you can lose Head Popper randomly, shooting zombies in the head or not. The best way to check if you still have it would be to knife a round one zombie. If the head comes off, you still have it. The perk is new, and I am yet to hear of something like that happening. Perhaps you lose it if you don't hit the box within a set time. Maybe say, five minutes? But I'd assume this would be you losing a separate P-Perk, like Carpenter Pro, (very hard to notice losing,) Steel Boards, or Head Popper. (Also hard to notice losing.)
-
It is thought that this new persistent perks gives you better weapons from the box as long as you only trade the weapon in the slot you originally hit the box with. For example, You hit the box. You take the War Machine. Your loadout is now the War Machine and M1911. You hit it again. You gain the upgrade and get a Galil. You trade your War Machine. Now your loadout is Galil and M1911. Again, you hit it with the Persistent Perk. You get an RPD. If you trade your Galil, you keep the Persistent Perk. If you swap weapons and trade your M1911, you lose the Persistent Perk. Say you traded your Galil and for some reason hit the box again. Your loadout is currently the RPD and M1911. The box gives you a DSR. If you trade the RPD for it, you keep the persistent perk. If you ignore the DSR and don't trade weapons, you lose the persistent perk. And if you swap weapons and trade your M1911 for it, you lose the persistent perk. TL;DR If you have the perk, you'll get good guns. To keep it, just keep trading the guns the box gives you.

I think that with the NAVcards, we will see the same use of the towers used for different purposes. E.X. say the towers are linked and now function as a gravity field. If you followed Richtofen, he uses it to pull Earth back into it's original form, with 7 continents and a sphere. Maxis will use the gravity to pull asteroids into Earth, and destroy the larger portions of the rest of Earth, killing everything there, zombies or human. I don't actually think that's what the towers are for, but you know what I mean. The different sides, Maxis or Richtofen, will use whatever the towers do for different purposes. Like using it for good or evil. I remember an old Maxis quote about using them to reverse-polarize the Earth, which I researched a while ago. If the purpose of the towers was to quickly reverse the Earth's polarization, it's possible that the Earth's magnetosphere protecting us could become very disorganized, and it's powers could deplete. In Great Leap Forward, we hear Maxis state that the Magnetosphere causes his communication via Electrical Device. Maxis technically is now electricity as an AI, so this means he himself is effected by the Magnetosphere. If he was to disorganize it, he could gain power. Maybe he could take control of Electrical Devices? Idk, but I think he's using the towers to make the Earth's Magnetosphere to fall apart for his gain. Richtofen is doing the opposite, I think. He is going to use the towers to strengthen the magnetosphere and bring Earth back to its original state. Remember, RIchtofen doesn't want destruction. He wants power.

I think this must have something to do with the new buildable. Compare it to Die Rise's Vertigoner achievement. Vertigoner: In Die Rise, fling 10 zombies in one game. Death From Below: In Buried, drop the beat on 10 zombies in one game. The descriptions are practically identical. Perhaps this achievement is about the new buildable in the map seen in the trailer. Perhaps this little machine digs underground and pops up, killing zombies? I'd imagine so, sense it fits in with the whole cave atmosphere. But the "Drop the Beat" part? Idk. Maybe it does this while playing Dubstep/Daft Punk?

They changed more than we thought... (p-perks)
bagel_ replied to TheBSZombie's topic in General Zombies Discussion
My friend and I both got p-Revive by reviving my teammate three times in a row, and it was by accident. All three times he was downed by zombies, and we both came out with the blue "reviving" texts. I lost it later that game by starting to revive him then turning away, then trying again. -
When the rockets went off and exploded on the earth, everything got closer together. So the "New" text and the Buried map SHOULD be on the left, in the Horn of Africa. The uncited source was Play The Game Central. The fed this info to him in the form of a "theory", and told him not to share that it was they who shared it. On their forums, however, they say they did tell Dalek and RadAustin this "theory". But I'm pretty sure most things PTG say are more than "theories."

Extracted PC Image files from Die Rise & MOTD
bagel_ replied to Afrochubman's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I noticed that the team emblem for zombies during turned is in the textures for Die Rise. Maybe we'll actually see turned in a later DLC. -
Yup. Spells "SUGR" as in suger. Perhaps you're right. He doesn't seem like the kind of guy to mess with, either. Perhaps the main objective of the game besides survival/power is to keep him under control, much like the secondary objective with MotD was building the plane. And also, yeah, I actually am looking for that endgame. I think this is the end of the road for the N4, and why not a way that means the end of them? I think it'd be cool if there was a cave in, lava starts pouring from the ceiling, and your ammo is refilled. Next, the round counter disappears, and you're in a NML of sorts, but no PaP. When everyone runs out of bullets and dies or dies from the lava, a the screen turns blackand shows the scoreboard without music playing for a little, then a cutscene is played, and the players are then sent back to the pre-game lobby.

Hi Sheriff, welcome to ze forums! Perfect timing to register too, the site's been down. I'm sure the site will be buzzing with activity with Buried coming up, so it's a great time to join. Hopefully you'll stick around! Maybe you can pick up a few things to incorporate into your videos. Just remember to site your sources See ya around!

If you watch the trailer, you can see the man being fed candy and growing, then going off to protect Samuel and kill zombies with his fists. I'm pretty sure he's not going to be an enemy here. However, the Ghost appears to be an enemy in the map. Perhaps she has similar capabilities as the astronaut on Moon, or the Pentagon Theif. The make an analogy, I think the SUGR guy = Dogs from MotD, and the Ghost = Brutus but worse.
-
I think that if this map really is small, then they must be stuffing in a ton of detail and new features into the map. Perhaps we'll have quite an Easter Egg. Or a Wunderweapon similar to the Fractulizer, sense it tended to crash games in Shang because of the detail. Or maybe it's small so the map can support the AI's of the SUGR guy and the ghost. But that would suck.

I think that the idea of the old west town underground isn't the worst idea. There obviously is going to be a lot more to this map. Note that the haunted house isn't very fitting to the old west town, either. Perhaps these maps underground could have something to do with the rift we've seem to have forgotten about shortly after MotD. Instead of thinking the idea of the town underground is stupid, look from an optimistic standpoint. Why is it underground? Why have they made a misfitting atmosphere? Also, who's to say we won't finish our final tower? There may be a tower sticking out of one of the cavern entrances after all. With the amount of complaints going on aboiut the N4, maybe this is the last time we'll even see them. We have what, 4 or 5 more days until the release? I say wait before we shoot down the idea. :D
-
Hmm, some very nice catches. One thing I've noticed is that while some zombies look old westish, others look misfitting. For example, in the picture titled "Mystery Box Location" there is a zombie that looks like he's in safari clothing, and the one above it seems to look different as well. Also, as you pointed out, the haunted mansion and the dark street light near it aren't very fitting to the environment either. Also, why are there trees growing under ground? The new tall guy has the letters "SUGR" tattooed on them, so I'm guessing he's going to be in that candy store a lot. Also, at 1:43-1:45 there is a workbench in the background! It doesn't look like a zombie shield, either. To me, it resembles and AGR from multiplayer. Maybe it's a newer version of the turret from TranZit? Very nice work, GRILL.

When do you think Moon/Nuketown occurs? (Poll)
bagel_ replied to Kar98DG's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I believe the bus driver actually was of the human appearance before the rockets hit Earth. Not the entire legs and such, but the upper body, just so that if someone looked inside the bus it was inconspicuous. The reason I say this is because of his appearance, and the TranZit loading screen. Let me specify with these images. First, on our actual driver, we have what appears to be charred skin pealing off of the metallic face. This may have been the cover skin so it wasn't clearly a robot. His arms may've had sleeves, but they have bee burnt off as well, and the forearms may have fallen off their hinges. There may've been fake, immobile feet as well, but those may've fallen off as well. What I have to back this theory is the poster of a human's face as a bus driver in the loading screen. I think that was our driver's appearance before all of this occurred. Otherwise, why not it just be a robot's face? Back on topic, I honestly think that the missiles must have hit post 1996. Forgive me if it's been mentioned, I've only skimmed the replies, but obviously Earth is facing an apocalypse after the missiles hit, because it is all falling apart. But in Die Rise, we have that poster saying "sense 1996." Assuming 3arc specifically put this in as a clue, we know that the world was still functioning in 1996, so the missiles mustn't have hit yet. The reason we have that cloud is because of that device we see in the loading screen. Check The Ultimate Nuketown Zombies Loading Screen Analysis if you wqant to see a little more about the possible UFO in Nuketown, and the reason we still have this mushroom cloud 40 years after the missile hit. The scientists sent to investigate weren't investigating the effects of the 60's missile, but the effects of the UFO on the area. The crater made by the nuke was the perfect site to set up the UFO anyway. I believe shortly after 1996 is when our missiles hit, maybe about 5 or ten years later. Then, we have Die Rise decades later, as MMX pointed out. As per what happened between Nuketown and Green Run, I think that the bus functioned as a mode of transportation between Area 51 and Hanford. Obviously Marlton worked at Area 51, and this may or may not have been his very early years. He went in with the rest of the scientists from nearby Jackass Flats to investigate the effects of the UFO. (There were a ton of them, plus the dead Soviets and Americans.) The UFO was spewing a gaseous form of 115, and this caused the zombies to arise. The 115 began to create perk machines, and they were being shot from the mushroom cloud when they took form. Marlton locked himself in the fallout shelter as soon as his team began to get infected and attacked. Eventually, the CDC/CIA was sent in to report what was going on there, and they were killed by zombies. They tried to talk to Marlton through the bunker, but he wouldn't leave. When Marlton knew he would eventually starve to death in there, he opened it up, and ran down the road from the area. He caught the Bus as it was leaving Area 51 to Hanford, not going back to Jackass Flats, knowing it was going to be overrun. He met Stu, Russ, and Misty at the Bus Station along with other scientists and locals, and convinced them to go down into the shelter due to a possible outbreak. When they went down there, the missiles hit, and 115 spread across the world. Everything seemed so lonely now. The bus continued its route it was programmed to go. Back near Nuketown, survivors in the shelter at Jackass Flats were trying to contact the survivors in Hanford via radio signal, but it was only heard from a TV in the Farm, so it was not heard. Somehow, those scientists survived the direct missile on Nuketown. Years past of our survivors sitting in the giant shelter under Hanford. The over world was being overrun with zombies, but in other areas of the world, people were in bomb shelters just like Marlton, Misty, Stu, and Russ. Misty and Marlton began to bond during these years, and Stu and Russ reminisced back to their years at "broken arrow." But things wouldn't stay like this forever. One day, the Hanford shelter was breached, and all but 4 survivors were turned. Those four survivors armed themselves and came out near the Bus Depot where they originally met. As they did, the Bus came back to the station, and the survivors boarded it with hopes that they could make it somewhere safe. Maybe to the countryside. Or maybe to Area 51, to the base at Jackass Flats, in hopes that somehow it wasn't overrun. However, as the Bus headed for the highway, the driver sensed debris in the way. It drove over to a Diner and Garage where Misty used to work, looking for a detour. Next, it went to the Farm. Here, our survivors heard a radio signal back from Jackass Flats. Apparently, Richtofen contacted a few members of a cult called the Flesh at Jackass Flats, and was instructing them to light the nearby "Spire". However, only members of the Flesh could hear them, so others didn't listen. Infighting arose, and eventually, the shelter was breached. At the Farm, we hear the Distress signals of the survivors there, hoping for backup. Due to the things heard in the recordings, it's assumed everyone there died, and the Spire wasn't lit. They reboarded the bus, and headed for the power station, thinking turning it on would give them a better chance. Marlton didn't know of the project going on there with "Him". When they turned it on, "He" was released, and they were contacted by Maxis/Richtofen. Maxis and Richtofen realized their advantages here, and that there was another Spire right near their location. After the Spire is lit, we move forward in time to who-knows-when in Die Rise. It could be 2025, it could be 2100. Who knows. All we know is that Shanghai is in pieces, but not completely gone yet, and that some people there are searching for survivors from the missiles and outbreak. Anddd I got a little carried away. Sorry :D
