Good point. Still, I would rather not be an advocate of stifling theories because a few irresponsible people can potentially take the portent of the theory out of contex We can't expect everyone to be enlightened, but we shouldn't penalize the ones that can get something out of these theories because of them. One theory usually spawns another, better theory and it's this progressive discussion I try to evoke.

I had an idea once that I posted on another thread...Would be great if they implemented it or something similar. A "Berserker" power-up. Once picked up, the player (and/or team) puts his gun away and goes bare-handed on the zombies. The screen goes red and the zombies run away in fear. The player is invincible during the power-up, gains 10x movement/melee speed, and can slash left/right with the triggers or tackle/rush with the melee button. Gore will also be multiplied, so that the Zombies are rendered into tiny little pieces. Basically it's like a red Insta-Kill, but better because the animations are more interesting (could even work in rage-filled screams from the character) and the zombies are afraid of you. It's a chance to rack up a ton of points, but don't get too deep chasing the zombies because when the power-up ends there is also a cool down where you will not have your guns back for 1/5 the time the power-up was active nor will you be able to melee, throw grenades, or use equipment/traps. All you can do for a short time after you "berserk" is run away. (if equipment was put down prior, it will still be active, i.e. you can try to hide behind a tramplesteam until you get your hands back)

Nay, MMX. It's the misuse and failure to understand the true nature of speculation that creates the misinformation you reference. When I theorize I know that it's only speculation and, regardless of how accurate it seems, I know it can be disproven. If another user decides to credit a theory as fact prematurely, it is not the theory's fault. Stating that we should not speculate because it could create misinformation is like saying we shouldn't form scientific hypotheses because we may disprove them in experimentation. That's the whole point!

Here's my take on what TranZit/Green Run is... Rumors of all the Zombie outbreaks spread to the US governement. Seems to be that a lot of advanced technology is associated with the outbreaks as well, hence the US's interest. If Origins is the "beginning", as Treyarch states, we should assume this is the first time the world has ever seen a zombie outbreak and, though we can't say for sure if these Robots are associated with the zombie outbreak or not, we do know they're there. Rumors coming back to the US would have been just as cryptic and undefined, but the point was clear: Zombies outbreak, very advanced Robots were there, odd electrical technolgies, teleportation, and more...Oh my! After the Marines at Nacht, US intelligence may have began to connect more dots and wanted to replicate this unnatural zombie outbreak phenomena, in hopes that they may also gain the "perks" that seems to come along with it (the advanced technology). So, they tried to redesign Nacht at a test facility. They also tried to replicate the odd electrical phenomena as seen by the Tesla Coil-like structures in Origins, but ended up instead with HIM. They populated the "Town" and surrounding areas of their test facility, and let these inhabitants go on living with no idea they were human lab rats, only there to eventually become a zombie. They also fashioned a crude robot (perhaps hoping that if the outbreak ocurred, it would advance their crude design), that is no more than a GPS system that can drive itself. It's really not a complicated technology at all. The mannerisms we see of the Bus Driver are programmed responses, but some brand new AI learning software may have also been implemented that wasn't refined yet, so it's possible this software met some success and the Bus Driver was able to learn some small things. I don't believe the US was ever successful in "manufacturing" their own zombie outbreak, but it did eventually happen...I think it was after the rockets hit. So, basically TranZit is a failed experiment by the US governement to manufacture a zombie outbreak in hopes of unlocking all the rumored technology that seemed to "magically" accompany the zombie outbreaks that were ocurring in Europe during the time.

C'mon guys...We're in Future Zombies. This is where we're supposed to speculate and let our imaginations run wild. So what if we're disproved when the map hits...we would have at least gained more knwoledge through open discussions with each other. This is a good thread that I don't want to see die because prominent members are advising against speculation. Who cares if what we theorize turns out to be wrong. It's not a contest to see who's right.

Where's my brains? That's exactly what I was theorizing. Lol... Samantha, a child, hasn't developed enough will of her own to actually change the eye color of the Zombies. I admit, I debated with MMX specifically about eye color defining the controller, but after watching the end game and seeing Stu's eyes change as Richtofen speaks, I'm now confident they do represent who's in control. Samantha just didn't have the power to change them or she wasn't aware that she did. Thank you MMX, for putting that lurker in his place, although I doubt he read your reply, it's good to know you're ready to defend this community.

[POLL] Worst Special Enemy?
ETEl2NAL407 replied to TheNathanNS's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I made my choices based on how annoying and/or difficult the boss was, i.e. who I had the most trouble with and affected the entire map in a negative way. In order of how much they made me hate the map: 1) Pentagon Thief: He looks creepy. Five is hard enough as it is with layout. The fact that an Achievment is attached to this asshat just makes me hate Five all the more. No one else can see him except for his target which lead to many frantic games of shouting incoherent phrases like, "No! He's on the right side!, No! Left! Ahhh, shit he got me! You guys were no help! Geez!" ...didn't make for fun Co-op games. 2) Brutus: Training is hard enough in this map with the ridiculously tight corridors, but when Brutus is around, the screen shakes seriously hinder training. He has downed me more than any other Boss and I barely play MotD. Also, he makes me seriously afraid of hitting the box. This guy really makes me mad and, again, he has an achievement directly attached to him. Fuck. 3) Napalm Zombie: I have been downed by this guy's massive explosion plenty, albeit I learned better after playing SRL more and more, it was still very inconvenient. His ability to blend in and hide behind other Zombies made it all the more startling when alluva sudden there's some nice big explosion, but above all else the most annoying thing about this guy is his role in the EE and how easily it is to accidentally kill him. Frustration level: Epic. -
You're probably right that they didn't take a lot of things into consideration for a long-term storyline, but had to scramble to make it all fit together. All things considered, I think they've done a great job, but I honestly do believe this is how we explain the yellow eyes. The red eyes still remain a thorn in my side... Apparently some demonic being exerted control over the zombies during the 1930's at Alcatraz and terrorized our M4, but I just don't like that idea. It's so anti-canon it makes me sick. If yellow is the default and Samantha couldn't/wouldn't actually control the zombies, leaving their eyes yellow, the explanation for MotD's red eyes at least makes sense, but it just feels like a wasted map, to me. :x

Ok, but the N4 were not in BO:1, so it would just be TED. Lol. This whole anagram thing is just pattern recognition. Give me any number, any word, and I can dissect it to make it seem more meaningful than it is. If we rearrange FEAR TEDDY, we can get DYE DE FART which is a French term for Vulture-Aid Elixir, so we're going to have Vulture-Aid in this new map set in France.

Sounds like a quick strategy and I love how BSZ is always searching for the quickest strategies. Kudos to you, man...You've really come up with great stuff. I'm curious why you would grab Bowie Knife and not G-Knucks? For just a bit more cash, you could extend your ability to melee kill zombs and if you're grabbing jug anyways, you could really go for melees, even if the zombs are stacked up and even in rounds past 10 (not many past 10, but still). Not to mention, with G-Knucks, there's no need for the TS/Clay/M&S during Boss rounds to acquire the free fifth and sixth perk. Does the WW trick really work? Is there enough time to deposit 100k+ before your real body bleeds out? Or do you suggest storing your point gun, then just letting yourself bleed out? I'm not very familiar with WW...

You should read the above, CrazyTrain...Obviously you missed it the first time.

Shooting the Paralyzer directly at a team mate will allow them to float in the same way the wielder of the Paralyzer can. The Saloon Piano has four distinct notes that can be played. Low, Mid-Low, Mid, and High. "Mary Had a Little Lamb" can be played on the piano, try it...It's not that easy. When Leroy runs back to his cell, if a player meets him inside the cell, he will not shut the door. He can only be coaxed back out by a player holding Booze or Candy, but as long a player is in the Cell, he will never close the door.

Without the globe, how else would they have been able to illustrate the Towers/Navcards being powered up? By making the map banner in the misson select pulsate and glow?

Forensic...? Lol. Ok then. No, seriously...It's a font guys. Even though it looks like handwriting, it's really just a font. So, I compare letters if I'm confused about something. Since fortuitous starts with an F and tortuous starts with a T, I just look through the letter for words I know start with those letters and compare. Through this process, I can say for sure our word in question does not start with a T, but it does start with an F. Based on context, the only F word that fits is fortuitous. Not really forensics, just deduction. ;) -
After ZombieGK posted his lists under spoilers, I pretty much abandoned the quest, but yes, thank you BSZ...I forgot the SMR, KAP-40, and Chicom (who can blame me?)

This is what I initially suspected, but after I thought about it...I think there may be less guns in TranZit or Die Rise...Let's try to count them out, I will need help though since my memory is not that great. TranZit: 21 Items? HAMR Galil RPD MTAR Type-25 Executioner Five-Seven Five-Seven Dual Python M1216 M18A1 S12 FN DSR-50 Barret RPG War Machine Ray Gun RGM2 EMP Monkey Bomb Die Rise: 20 or 21 Items? HAMR Galil RPD MTAR Type-25 Executioner Five-Seven Five-Seven Dual Python M1216 M18A1 S12 FN DSR-50 Barret RPG War Machine Ray Gun RGM2 EMP Monkey Bomb Sliquifier** Buried: 18 or 19 Items? HAMR Galil MTAR Executioner Five-Seven Five-Seven Dual Remington Pistol M1216 S12 FN DSR-50 Barret RPG War Machine Ray Gun RGM2 Time Bomb Monkey Bomb Paralyzer* I might be missing some or I might be including some I shouldn't be. Can someone look over these lists and confirm? EDIT: Thanks for the corrections birdman22. Also added the RPG and War Machine to the lists. As you can see, I've put an asterisk next to the WW's since they will not be in the Box once they're pulled. (Furthermore, the Slquifier won't be in the box at first.) So far, it looks like Buried does have less Items...

Yellow is the default color. It's confirmed in this map. If this map takes place in 1917, and we have no way to disprove this yet, Samantha would not be alive. Why, though, would the zombies (assuming they're acting of their own volition) have the same eye color as when Samantha is in control? Simple answer, really. Samantha is a child and she never intended to be in control of the zombies. She doesn;t desire that power and doesn't try to will herself onto the zombies, therefore, while she's "in control" she doesn't actually do any controlling, thus the eye color remains at a default state. Samantha does give our O4 power-ups, however, and you can understand this when Richtofen grabs power-ups and asks, "But, why Samantha?" Richtofen doesn't expect this from her since he's the one that effectively killed her and put her into the Aether. Also, he thirsts for the power, so he would assume any normal person would do the same. Look at the end-game for Buried...Richtofen takes control of Stu and when we hear quotes from Richtofen, Stu's eyes become blue. Obviously, the eyes represent the controller, but because Samantha hasn't exerted her will over the zombies, their eye color never changed. If a grown man and a child were to have a battle of wills, who do you think would win? Do you think children have developed a strong willpower? Is that why they throw temper tantrums when they don't get what they want? Read between the lines a little, everyone.

In other words, sometime between SNN and KDT, Tank (as well as the other 2) had his memory wiped. So, he actually thinks he's only been slaying since 1945 because he can't remember anything before that.

Tortuous is also colloquially used to mean to have torture. It's not the correct usage, but I just wanted to throw it out there. It's not tortuous. It's prove fortuitous. Look at the f in the word from on the first line and compare to the first letter of your ineligible word. Same mark exactly. He just misspelled fortuitous. EDIT: Actually, if you really look closely, you can see he didn't mispell. The U and the I are just scribbled together, but the dot for the I is actually in the right place. BTW, prove fortuitous means will be a good thing. He's saying that being exiled from Russia may not be a bad thing after all since his exile means he can act as an independent agent on secret missions, namely the one everyone is talking about in the letters, the next playable map. -

That makes sense. The plane crashed amid this psychotic battlefield while our O4 are busy teleporting to ___________ and then we have the WaW NDU. -

Looks like TranZit 2.0 with a dash of Der Riese, NDU, and SNN. -
Ah thanks, yes...Just wanted to confirm my suspicions. Overall, these theories are good. I'm sure at least one of these will be very close to, if not exactly, the achievement we'll actually see. I'm thinking something with the tanks and drones will definitely be involved, much like the buildables were incorporated in other BO:2 maps. I think we'll see maybe one or two very cryptic achievements, like the EE's have been (ToB, High Maintenance, Mined Games) which gave us very little in the form of description. I don't think they'll all be as cryptic as your theories, Naitrax...Or were you just trying to theorize about the main EE? As long as we have another very challenging achievement like "Awaken the Gazebo" I'll be happy.
-
These aren't Official achievements, right? This is just Naitrax's theories on what achievements there will be, yes?

The arsenal of era specific weapons makes me think they're trying to stay true to the time this map is taking place. We all know they take liberties with such, but I am hoping this era won't exclude PaP...
