  1. Very detailed, by far the best map for TranZit available, but the barriers in the Tunnel are not rebuildable and I never realized the entrance in the field to the tower was a circular pattern like that... Overall, great job, very informative, pretty much dead-on with the part locations, even though they vary from game to game.
  2. Dubstep and Drum and Bass will turn me into a professional slayer. Really anything by Sub Focus, Flux Pavilion, Camo & Krooked, Nero, Pendulum, Knife Party, or Bar 9...Here's a few examples: ua3iL1WtqN4 kLaC0PNMldo P3ot-LMuPgs xcLqVfKTtKw It should also be mentioned that I believe a song by Feed Me was written specifically for CoD or FPS games, even the title works perfectly for CoD, but listen for yourself... eu2SPUCR3ys Problem with this music is I find myself making my character jump a lot more...Lol, if the beat makes me wanna dance, it makes my character dance too.
  3. Turned is a step in a direction that makes sense and might evolve Zombies into more than just a highly glorified arcade shooter. It's a small step, but a huge leap at the same time. I wrote a post soon after I joined this forum detailing my idea for the Zombie future...Please, check it out and let me know what you think.
  4. Now that you mention it, I knew of only 3 players. One was next to me in the sweatshop, another was on the roof, but the fourth I don't know. He had communicated that he was going to build the Sliq, so it's possible that he had killed a zombie en route to power in the Buddha Room. If that's the case, then it stands to reason that this EE is so touchy, it would be best to avoid the Buddha Room almost entirely until the Knife is PaPed and everyone is ready to go. The one time I attempted this EE and actually got the correct quotes, we had one person training on the ground, three of us were on the catwalk with a TS, but it only took us 3 rounds to get the quote. I was using Skullcrusher, so the nade launcher may have had something to do with it.
  5. The Unicorn is missing.
  6. If you notice an OP about the subject you're wanting to post a thread for, just reply to that thread and make a dislcaimer like, "Hey, was just about to make a thread for this, but I see I was too late...In any case, I read through your post and found it a bit confusing so I am basically outlining the same things in a different way, after all looking at the same material in different ways can never hurt." ...Then just proceed to post what you were going to from the beginning. A respectful and polite way of saying, "My thread would've been better than yours, but you posted it first."
  7. This sounds like the best way to approach it, but there is an issue that I've experienced trying this way. We try to do the elevators step very early, so by the time we shoot the balls, we have very limited funds for trying to get the Ballistic Knife, let alone PaPing it. So, we usually try to camp somewhere besides the Buddha room, but I still get the quote, "Yes. That's it. More blood!" So, I'm always wondering if trying to get the knife truly is the 3rdish step because Maxis seems to always want the blood sacrifice first...
  8. I don't disagree at all with your theory, Blitz. This is a great theory and fits very nicely like one of those round pegs. I just wanted to comment about the sudden shift in storyline. We've been seeing a lot of scientific and conspiracy theory links, besides Shangri-La (which is arguable), this may be the first time religion is so readily linked to zombies. Although, I know that mankind usually turns to religion when scientific discovery fails to illuminate a truth, I was hoping zombies would not take a religious direction. I seem to recall another story that began with scientific, quantum, time-travel, paradoxical, stuff that was really cool, but then it ended with some religious reference. It seemed like a beautiful elaborate house of cards had come tumbling down...I'm talking about Lost. I always thought Lost ended the way it did because JJ Abrams just didn't know how to end it, so he brought the completely subjective idea of religion into it. Do you think zombies may be doing the same?
  9. Actually, I'm criticizing the game and offering ideas that I think would be an improvement. This absolutely is the place.
  10. So, buying a door leading to the perk and then having enough money to purchase it is giving you the perk? I don't ever remember starting a Zombies map with a perk. I've always had to work for them. I will be in the minority, I don't care if my likes are reciprocated or accepted. Outside of Grill's offer to play the map with me and share the enjoyment he gets out of it, nothing will change my mind. You can accept that or not, but I will not relinquish my campaign to discuss my discontent with the new direction of Zombies. This thread will continue with or without your input. If it really bothers you so much that I dislike MotD, maybe you should make an offer similar to Grill's...Or find a different thread to rant about.
  11. Is it only triggered by Zombies? I saw this at Bus Depot once that was so bad, it stretched the center awning down towards the pavement and actually blocked my view to the mystery box...Standing on the other side from where the start room is, looking back to where the box spawns, there was a wall of black, but my team mate could walk through it and of course they didn't see it, but it seemed to come from the edge of the awning. It persisted until the bus came. weird...
  12. I love it when I get the little snuggly bunny wabbit!!!
  13. Honestly I think this is where my main frustration lies. We have always seen Zombies as a game within a game. Certain rules and functionality of the Zombies mode were presented and adhered to. Throughout BO:1 these rules were bent and the functionality of certain maps was altered to test out new things, namely the EE quests. As we see Zombies now, it's still a game within a game, yet they continue to warp the established functionality and try new things out, but with the release of MotD, I see the functionality warped to the point that I don't see it as a game within a game any longer. I believe we have entered a transitional phase. Zombies will surely become a stand alone game and the functionality akin to earlier Zombies will continue to be altered. I think MotD is making steps in the wrong direction, I stick by hoping that the funcionality of the Zombies that's been established throughout WaW and BO:1 remains untarnished, but Treyarch has made huge strides in setting these new maps apart. I want to get back to basics. Including elaborate quests and EE's is fine, so long as they don't affect a core functionality. I should be able to go into ANY Zombies map and acquire perks as fast as strategically possible, ignore the quests and just slaughter. Some may argue that this Purgatory mode is part of the strategy and you'd be right...It is now, but it never was in the previous Zombies maps. No other games make such huge changes to established strategies, they just add in deeper storylines, new characters, and new gear. They do not alter the staples of their game. The major problem is that what I thought was established as a Zombie staple has been tampered with.
  14. Insults or emotionally charged discussions won't receive any direct response from me. I didn't intend for this to become so heated, but I suppose I struck a nerve. Of course, we are all huge fans of Zombies. Black Ops 1 or 2 is usually the disc that stays in my Xbox, I try to download all my other games and I'm sure many of you are like me. Even though we're all passionate about Zombies, the discussion must calm down and not seem so aggressive. I apologize if I offended anuyone with my comments. The good thing about this new map is that today I went back to play Die Rise and had an amazing game. lol... Personally, I would love 20 different Kinos or Ascensions. I'd be happy if they spent more time giving us a larger arsenal or giving us more ways to modify the arsenal...How about a mode where I get to choose what guns show up the walls and what perks I want in the map. Better yet, let me gain experience and upgrade my guns just like in Multiplayer. I love the way the true nature of how to play maps like Kino aren't clear until the higher rounds, but once that format is discernible the functionality of the map just fits so nicely. It can get you into a 'zone' and really make you feel like an epic zombie slaughtering hero. Only certain maps can boast having such a natural feel, I haven't gotten that in MotD and in the other two from BO:2 they feel forced as if they were afterthoughts to the primary goal of the map. I really identify with this statement that | GRILL | made: Maybe I'm too critical, but I want another masterpiece, damnit.
  15. see that last part that I bolded? guess who that seemingly is in this situation? Opinions are all fun and game, but surely you must have considered that posting a thread like this on a fanboy forum (by nature) was going to garner some negative responses. The word "fanboy" that you first used to generally describe the community is pretty much the only reason I'm posting this, as I disagree with your slanderous use of the word - and find it somewhat hypocritical (as I pointed out above). You want Kino 2.0? You want Der Reise 2? Not going to happen - know why? BECAUSE THOSE MAPS ARE MASTERPIECES. No self-respecting artist would want to churn out a bunch of copies of their most famous work, they use their newfound power or abilities to push the envelope, think outside the box, and strive to create a fresh EXPERIENCE. MotD is by far the best map to come out for BO2. Yes it's huge, yes it has multiple steps, yes it has a boss zombie - but look "big maps" "insane easter eggs" and "moar boss rounds" is what the majority of the community has been asking for for a long time. People wanted a cosmic silverback on ascension. People wanted a giant monster to break through the roof in Kino. Well, now they are attempting to integrate things that are more challenging but at the same time rewarding in the context of it's challenging nature. The only point that I really agree with you on is regarding making the EE necessary for slaughtering. I think it's a bit over the top to make players save a zombie and collect plane parts just to PaP, all the while not being able to keep a crawler anymore. I'm l GRILL l, and I'm a zombies fanboy - but that doesn't mean I'll follow 3arc everywhere. I personally quite disliked TranZit (and still do for that matter), Die Rise was great because you could actually see what you were doing... but that's only because we came off of TranZit. MotD saved BO2 zombies for me, and I'm proud to admit that I enjoy the challenging nature of the map - but not stubborn enough to admit that it was a bitch to learn. Sorry for the rant, but like I said - it was the "fanboys" comment that really set me off. If you ever want to play, Eternal, hit me up. I'd love to show you how to love this map. Not sure how you did that, but this, friendos, is how you disagree and keep it tactful. Even though you semi bashed me for the fanboy comment, | Grill |, you actually made me chuckle a little bit and you know...I will take you up on the offer.
  16. Trying to get my point across to a bunch of zombie fanboys is like trying to get a herd of cows to fly... I see why so many people left these forums. As soon as you criticize Zombies in the slightest bit you're labeled blasphemous, butt-hurt, stupid, etc.. Thanks for your opinions, I didn't get as much discussion out of this thread as I'd hoped, but at least I learned a lot.
  17. I understand the need for evolution, Ed. I can see the big picture, probably clearer than most, thus I see the direction Zombies is headed in: More quests, less good old-fashioned slaying. My point here is not to say that BO:2 sucks or that Treyach sucks. My point is that this direction Zombies is going, I dislike. The game can evolve without elaborate quests. New perks, new guns, new maps. Those will all keep the game interesting. I don't even mind the quests as long as they don't hinder the functionality of the map. When I say functionality I mean, "Getting a decent gun, getting your perks, settling in and slaying some undead." MotD has sacrificed functionality for the quest. What we really need is a balance that appeases everyone. Sure, that's difficut to do, but anything worth doing is difficult, especially if you intend on making money from your efforts. Treyarch may not care about fans like me, they may only be interested in pleasing the fanboys that don't care about slaying and just want to finish that quest, but if the maps are all catered to questing and continue to sacrifice functionality, what is everyone going to do after they've completed the quest? So, really, the big picture here is that Treyarch needs to find that balance so their future maps are replayable even after the quests are done. MotD is not that kind of map. At least it's not for me. I'm sorry, if it works perfectly for you, we can't all be as elite as you.
  18. I don't actually hate it. I've stated several times that I dislike it, but I do strongly dislike it so if you want to call that hate, be my guest. Close enough. The reason is not just because of MotD. I was weary of Die Rise, as well. I eventually came to enjoy it, not nearly as much as TranZit and nowhere close to as much as the BO:1 maps, but that initially sparked my disdain. I gave it a chance though. Now with MotD, I'm seeing the path Zombies is heading down solidify and my fears that I experienced with Die Rise are coming to fruition. Again, it's not Zombies that I dislike. It's not BO:2 that I dislike. It's the direction Zombies is headed in. I want to wave a giant stop sign at Treyarch.
  19. That's the perfect example of a fanboy. Just because I criticize a game that he loves, he berates me. Thank you for the excellent example Edward Richtofen!
  20. Fanboy Definition per Wikipedia I use the term loosely. To me, it means someone that has jumped onto a bandwagon and becomes loyal immediately. I've been a fan of Zombies since BO:1, but I don't think Zombies was half as popular then as it is now and that's because of the fanboys. Based on that definition we could say the fanboy line is drawn between the questers (the fanboys) and the slayers (the OG fans). Whereas I want a zombie game with less questing and more slaying, a fanboy would tell me my thread is blasphemous because I don't like the quests. I don't dislike the quests, I just think they're overtaking and hurting the slaying. Are you a fanboy? Well, based off the fact that you like the quests, that definition, and the possibility that there is a line in the sand between questers and slayers, then yes, but only you can answer the question honestly. Is it bad? If you ask a fanboy, no, but if you ask a true fan that's been the victim of fanboys influencing what he loves, then yes...He would say, "Fanboys suck."
  21. The short and sweet way to illustrate my major complaint with MotD. Because it is this way, I can only logically conclude that it was by design. If that's the design of this map than I must also conlclude that this map was not designed for getting setup to slay, but for doing the quests as a team. In conclusion, if you're following me, that means Treyarch has designed a map to pigeon hole the players into working together to accomplish the quests. So, what do we do after we've completed them? Oh, you didn't think of that, Treyarch? Whoever is saying these quests make the map more interesting misses the bigger picture...What will this map offer after your quests are done? It's not designed for anything but doing quests. Replayability is dead.
  22. I didn't want to have to say it like this, but since this thread has now been labeled "blasphemous" I feel I must... BO:2 is for fanboys. Plain and simple. The reason so many out there like this new map and think it's the greatest is because of the quests, but Zombies did not start out with these quests, they've been added in as the Zombie popularity grew. Treyarch is thinking the quests make Zombies popular, so they're modeling their new maps to please these quest seeking fanboys and alienating the true slayer fans in the process. This is the real blasphemy. It's so clear to me, but I suppose the fanboys won't be able to see it. For example: Alluva sudden we have illuminated parts in MotD, big difference from the parts in TranZit and Die Rise. So, it's Treyarch saying, "Here's the part, get it." and furthermore you're given a list of all the parts on your game ending screen. They're telling you what parts you need. They're obviously wanting you to do the quest, making the quests easier, actually. Coming from a quest seeking fanboy's eyes, that's awesome. I get that, you're a fanboy, you like the quests, you're happy, but your happiness has cost me my enjoyment because I can't play MotD and just slay, I have to do some quest related things in order to get the setup I need for slaying. Such a shame because I really do like how MotD looks, I don't entirely mind the map's layout, either...It's not the easiest for slaying, but it could be worked around. Now we add in the perk issue and it's broken. It's not impossible, but it's so much bullshit effort that I'd much rather just play TranZit or any of the awesome maps from BO:1. So, go ahead fanboys. Revel in your victory. Zombies won't be the first thing you've destroyed for the real fans.
  23. I understand what you mean, nayrc. I can see how these quests make the game more interesting and I don't disagree, it could get boring, but making the perks harder to get is not making things more interesting, just overly complicated. Why not just add different perks? Even better, we could make some perks part of the quest...some, not all. The problem is not the intent of Treyarch, I get what they're trying to do: exactly what fans like you want. More stuff to do, things to keep it interesting, but they're only making fans like you happy. There are other fans that don't want to sacrifice the functionality of the map, like Chopper said, "Where you can get in, get balls deep and start ****ing slaying." for some quest that makes it more interesting. I can find my interest in the new map layout, the new perk machines, the new guns...I don't need a side quest, but it is nice to have one in case I get bored of slaying. Unfortunately, Treyarch is going by the inverse of that thought. The side quest is a must, slaying is secondary. Worse even, the functionality that makes long-term slaying possible has been included into the quest, so I effectiely cannot choos to play MotD and just slay. It would be like having 4 basketballs, 3 of which are fully inflated, but I choose to play with the deflated one. If slaying is basketball and the maps are the balls, MotD would be the deflated one. Bottom line is that the way Treyarch is indirectly forcing us to do these side-quests is getting in the way of pure slaying akin to the BO:1 and earlier maps. The quests have always come second to the slaying, until now.
  24. How does it take you 50 mins to do 15 rounds? you can get jug in the first 6 rounds with 2 dogs fed? sorry to tell you, your doing it wrong.... I understand you're only trying to help (hopefully) and not trying to berate others for having a hard time with MotD and just disliking the functionality of it, but please put any 'how-to' discussions into a strategy guide thread. This is for the discussion of how much Treyarch is ruining Zombies. I'll also comment on some of the remarks made by other users regarding MotD, sine TheBSZombie stirred that hornet's nest. Many of you are shaking your head at the few that dislike this new map and claiming we "just don't know how to play it". Some use choice words, I saw one say, "get your heads out of your butts", others are offering us quick strategies to try and help. The help is appreciated, for sure, the choice words don't deserve to be dignified with comment, but the bottom line is not that we don't know how to play. I could play MotD and get better. I choose not to because there's a deeper reason behind my disdain of MotD...Read the OP and you'll see why.
  25. You're still pleading. I'm of the mind that if they don't make a huge course correction with the next DLC, I'm trading in my BO:2 copy and writing them a letter, season pass be damned.
