I've only really heard a couple, but I was wondering if you guys had any nicknames for the perks, humorous or otherwise. The ones I've heard were: Juggs Get Back Up Soda/Grave Cola/Fishy Juice/Quickie/Noob Revive Doobles/DT/Tappers Superhands/Cocaine Staminamin-up The Doctor/Flopper/PhD Deaders Three Gun Tequila/Donkey Punch RIP Uselessness/(singing) WHO'S WHO! Cherry Popper/Electric Something Lucifer punish the man that calls Speed Cola "Sleight of Hand," and Juggernog "Juggernaut."

Press "X" to enter the Afterlife I think it's pretty cool they added an ending. I wouldn't go for it more than the time required, seeing as I still haven't done it (Wish I had an Xbox), but I still think it's cool.

Simple. MOTD. Afterlife. Cannot Live. Aggggh!

Oh my god why am I laughing so hard I now have my new name for Speed. Thank you kindly. -
Can we get a video for my laughing pleasure?

I don't tend to use them, but they aren't bad.

My memory is a bit fuzzy, so forgive me if I'm wrong, but aren't the rest of the perk machines spazzing out (aside from EC)? EC was made around the time, so it's meant to be in that part of the time stream, while the other perks were made in the future and taken back in time. Thus, perhaps those are the machines before they are used to dispense the perks, as they aren't spazzing out. Then again, I think the unpowered machines weren't all fuzzy either, so maybe I'm wrong.

Am I really the only guy here to acknowledge the true might of the greatest Wonder Weapon here, the VR-11!? It's not meant to be shot at zombies, or even Romero. You're supposed to shoot your teammates with it! Grant some invincibility, and when upgraded, insta-kill. Always. It is simply the greatest weapon out there due to the power it can grant your comrades. Oh, but if you really wanna shoot the zombies, at least keep shooting the human to make it explode and instant kill the zombies around it on any round, even though that's still a useless move in comparison to it's real power.

"Samantha's Lullaby" in Mob of the Dead | Secret 3rd Song EE
Lunatic replied to GRILL's topic in Mob of the Dead
Interesting find. I had an inkling that there would be a third song, but I didn't expect it to activated like that. -
I find that it's really easy to just run around the map as a whole. It's big and winding enough that you can keep alive really easily. However, I think you can train down by the laundry machine. Haven't done it much though.

This map has been absolutely packed with secrets - Golden Spork, Hell's Redeemer, "Where are we going," 115 to 666... But my question is, could there be a third song? I have absolutely no idea how we'd activate it, but that's the question. We've found two songs: Rusty Cage, and Where Are We Going. I noticed that in one of the trailers, we saw some gameplay that had music in the background, music that was neither of the aforementioned songs. Here's the trailer (the song starts at 1:25): oI9BsmMeoX4 And here's the song: 0tnrhX55mzI So what do you think, guys? Did we miss something? Or was that just for the trailer? I have no idea whatsoever on how we would activate the song, so I'll leave the theories to people that know the map a bit better.

That video was pretty awesome. This really is one of the greatest maps they've made so far. I probably won't buy the soundtrack, though. That's a lot of money to pay for it, especially for such short tracks.

Mending the rift by destroying group 935 and fixing the world. Anyone else feel like Takeo was hinting at this on moon? Also, my problem with that is if we stop all this from happening by fixing the rift, then we stop the people from fixing it in the first place. By fixing the rift we stop who did from doing so because it all never happened. TIME IS A MESSED UP SUBJECT. Lithium, your response to this post just blew my mind. Didn't help that this post already did so. Like, seriously. This is a really confusing subject.

'Spose I should type out the good reasons I have for doing this. I don't really enjoy real world history. It isn't that interesting to me. I can't get into the subject matter and really pull good things out of it. I can get into this - I really enjoy fiction. I find it hard to focus on things I can't really get in to. To my teacher, this is an experiment. I type out really good essays when she hands them out, and I don't tend to take the conventional route when it comes to them. She lets me do whatever it is I'd like to do because she enjoys what I write. It's not going to be an issue when it comes to book sources, or length. As long as I can gather the material to write out my essay, she'll accept it, no matter the length or sources. Odd to think that I'd ever be confident in myself. Anywho, I'll build a good paper and hand it in. Might upload the paper after it's done, but I'll be sure to tell you what grade I get on it. Worst case scenario, I get a C and still easily get out of the class with a B or an A. She'll probably let me redo the essay if it really hurts me. If I have to redo it, I'll be sure to find someone else. I don't know a lot of real-world people, so that'll be difficult, but I know I'll make it through. Hell, that won't be a problem as long as I do well the first time.

I remember reading through your thread around the time Die Rise was released. It was pretty well-built. I'll be sure to go over it repeatedly in the weeks to come while I write this paper. I can't do Richtofen, since the theme of the paper is "Someone that had it all and lost it." I thought that Maxis had died, and even if he didn't, he's still lost a lot. Richtofen has so far climbed the ladder to achieve greatness. He hasn't lost it all, at least not yet. I suppose I could do Nicholai as well, but I honestly think that Maxis would make a better and longer paper. It's gotta be around 2.5 pages long, double spaced. I personally don't understand the deal with double spacing since it's just filer for a paper, but whatever. My teacher has generally accepted all my essays with great grades, despite how I stray from the guidelines. Guess I'm good at essays. Finally, she'll let me get all my info from the internet, despite the fact that she only wants internet sources to account for a third of the information in the paper. She still wants me to look for book sources though, so if you guys have any idea on actual books or other sources that I could use, do give me a shout. I'll be looking for books next week around Monday or Tuesday, so if you guys don't know of any, I'll look around. I expect this specific part of my search to be fruitless, but it's always nice to be pleasantly surprised. Forgot to mention: I have told her who my character is and that he's from a video game. Don't know why that's important, I had something going on in my head and it slipped. Train of thought derailed, no survivors.

Or, more accurately, me asking for a bit of guidance in building one. Now, I'm not a big fan of real-world history, and my current English teacher is. She currently wants us to do a paper about somebody who had it all and lost it - a real world Macbeth. With a little bit of persuasion, I was able to secure the right to do a paper on someone fictional, and the person that sprang to mind is our good friend Maxis. He was the head of a group of researchers, he had a wife and kid, and now he's dead, along with his family and old job. I'm not asking you guys to write a paper for me. I'm asking you guys for a bit of info. Anything, really. I'll post a link to where I plan to pull some info (aka the wiki), but I'd appreciate it if you guys could post some of the stuff that happened. Some things like his family, some of the research he was doing and how that effected both him and the scientists, and Richthofen's betrayal. I'm also very sketchy on whatever happened on Moon and, what, Griffon Station? Dat link: http://callofduty.wikia.com/wiki/Ludvig_Maxis So uh, yeah. Help me out, guys. Or don't. But I'd appreciate it.

I can't play Mob of the Dead for awhile, so I'd appreciate it if someone would post a video for this. I've been so hyped up, and so far, the map sounds like what everybody's been hoping for. Right, forgot to mention: Where I am, I can't view that image. I'll be able to see it later, but for now I'd be happy if I could hear the scream and whatnot.
-
I had this odd crackpot theory go through my head, too. I instantly dismissed it, but I thought "Gee, wouldn't it be cool if the souls that take control of the mobsters were the O4? They are dead and all." I knew that it wouldn't be the way things turned out, but then you post this.

When they say they've been through it I think they just mean they've talked through the plan repeatedly in order to ensure that they carry it out flawlessly upon the actual execution. Like they've practiced it 50 times. That was one scenario that had crossed my mind. Then I started thinking about the first zombie they all killed together. We all know zombies get stronger and faster (to a point) the more rounds you pass. That first zombie sure could take a beating.

OH MY GOD GUYS, TURN ON THE CAPTIONS I CAN'T STOP LAUGHING www.youtube.com/watch?v=MLp4kDvCZow

"Hey Sal, we musta' been through this fifty times already." "And we'll go through it another fifty if that's what it takes." I feel like this is the cycle. It's just them repeatedly trying to escape Alcatraz and failing every time. I believe someone else made a better post about this though.

I've heard that Juggernog is disabled after round 15, but you don't lose it. When you start your next game, you'll have it again. Or something. Not too sure.

One of the things that always excites me when it comes to the release of a map is the music. I think I heard somewhere that the music changes as you visit different areas, which interests me quite a bit. As much as I like the song we got in the trailer, I do hope we get something special from our pal Kevin Sherwood. I've loved the new band thus far, but for some reason I expect Avenged Sevenfold to be our musical guests on Alcatraz. Any thoughts before the map comes out/as the map is released?
-
Not going to bother reading the other replies because I'm terrible. I noticed that at 1:43, Sal crawled under the fan trap and got a blue glow. Any idea what this could mean, guys?
-
Hm. Guess we need to be on the lookout for a possible Mule Kick perk, since OP won't give us the video proof. Most we can do is cross our fingers, eh?

Alright, just going to make one point here: >Mob of the Dead takes place around the 1940's >Nacht loading screen shows (what appears to be) a man stepping out of a portal at 1943 >Maxis' color is red theory So, if what you're saying is correct, then Maxis is in control of the zombies in MotD. Leaving all of this behind, I've always felt like Maxis was up to no good. I think Richtofen, while still not being a good guy, is far better than whatever Maxis is doing. Looking at this from the point of colors, blue has (almost) always been a "good" color, and red is "bad."
