I think Maxis will ultimately be Evil and I think we can already start to see that. My evidence, look at the way he reacts when you spray the Sliquifier on the Balls on Die Rise: Now while some may say that that's just him showing disappointment, I perceive that to come across as someone getting Mad, because they're not getting their own way. If you compare that quote to the quote you get on Tranzit when you turn the power back on: To me this quote seems a lot more relaxed and not so much him getting mad, rather saying in this one that something's gone wrong, but you can still fix it. Ultimately, Richtofen FTW baby! :)

Sorry to revive an "old" thread/topic, but though I'd post here as most relevant post I found. I also apologize if this has even covered before. Being a pretty new user, I don't know 100% what has been discussed, bit I did a search on the forum for Clock and 19:49 but didn't see anything when I skimmed the 12 pages of results. So anyway, I am really into the story and history surrounding zombies at the moment and have just read this http://www10.antenna.nl/wise/index.html?http://www10.antenna.nl/wise/381/3733.html It relates to The Green Run project. I won't bore the details here as I'm sure we all know them. Anyway, back on topic heres the opening excert of the document/information: "On the night of December 2, 1949, the filters in the stacks at the US nuclear weapons plant at Hanford, in Washington state, were turned off and 11,000 curies of iodine-131 were released directly into the atmosphere." So the way I see it the clock in the diner is a reference to this event in 1949. I'm reading some more now so maybe the other clocks hint to important events associated with Green Run.

SOLO(Online): Anyone Else Having Problems?
nockscitney replied to nockscitney's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Pdiddy- I've been trying it since Friday an up to now, no joy. Eteinal- not sure I understand what you mean by you're not trying to access the game online. As I said in OP, I'm trying to play SOLO, online, not Solo offline. I've also manually configured my LAN setting on my ps, setting uPNP to enabled, however when I save the details and the check them again, it says its not available. I don't have a problem on the Internet, it's not an ISP fault, I'm signed into psn so it's not a Sony fault. So that puts it in the hands of 3arc and the zombie servers. My ps is DMZ host as well so it's not that. Ps - I know you don't know this, it's not me having a go, but I work in IT (software developer) so I have a good understanding of computing terms Not a massive problem as like I said I can play in Public match or if I want to play solo, use custom games but its annoying that my high rounds aren't saved to the leaderboards. Anyone else got ideas? -
So as the title of the thread suggests, I'm having problems trying to play a game Online, in SOLO. Is anyone else having the same issue or is it just me. I've not had an issue previously and on Thursday I bought the Season Pass and downloaded NTZ. I loaded it up and tried to play a SOLO game and it worked. After that, since I've tried to play SOLO, it just sticks on "Creating Lobby". I've recently got a new PS3 and had forgot to update the port forwarding information to open up my NAT, so I did that today and the game now says NAT: Open, however this didn't make a difference to it and it still sticks on "Creating Lobby". I originally put it down to a problem with NTZ (although I wasn't actually sure what it could be as it's just a map you're loading into a game), but frustratingly it isn't just affecting NTZ, I can no longer go in to play Trazit/Bus Depot/Town/Farm on SOLO either I can play SOLO on Custom Games, which isn't a problem, apart from your high rounds isn't saved to the leader boards. Likewise, I can go into a Public Match and play fine. Other things I've tried is signing out of PSN and re-signing in while the game is running, but that didn't have the desired effect either. I've also updated my DNS servers on my console to use Google DNS (8.8.8.8,8.8.4.4) in case of an issue with my ISP's but no joy. Does uPNP have anything to do with it maybe? Although it's turned on on my router settings, my PS3 reports it as Unavailable. Is anyone else currently having this issue or had it in the past and found a solution for it?

Great spot on Jimmy's twitter. Like the sound of your theory.

Like your thinking. What if ultimately both Richtofen and Maxis are acting on behalf of Vril-Ya and they're "Playing Them Off On Each Other" to see which is the greater / stronger.

Before I begin my rambling here are based on something I read on the following thread - viewtopic.php?f=136&t=29287. I would also like to point out that I have a good grasp of the back story as i spent 2 and a half hours reading the back stroy thread on this forum yesterday, so although what I post here may stray from the story, I would apprechoate people not shooting me down and telling me I'm wrong straight away. And now, on with the show. . . . . So I think most people will agree when I say that clocks and time play a great part in TRANZIT. Heck there are x number of clocks throughout the map all with different times on them. What however if we're actually running on one big click face throughout our time in TRANZIT. First point to look at is the tunnel. We all know there is a couple of signs in there with the wording "day x/2 me" which many have interpreted as "Day Cross Over To Me". Thinking about this as a time on the clock, I can perceive this 6 on the clock as 6am would be considered the time night ends and day begins and 6pm the reverse. So if you agree with / entertain the above statement, you can then conclude that we're moving backwards through time. Why you ask? Because the bus is traveling in an anticlickwise direction (I.e. start at 6 and moving to the right). After thinking about this further, it links me back to another thread I read last week (sorry not got the link) which was discussing points that are banked. Players were reporting that if they didn't play for a few days / period of time the funds in the bank would decrease. Think about how a bank works. The longer the money is in there, the more interest you earn. If we were traveling backward through time we'd effectivly lose the interest that we earnt previously, reducing our bank balance. So where am I going with this. Well what if the horn we hear on Nuketown isn't a bus departing, taking Marlton away as many think, but instead the bus arriving from TRANZIT. Once they get there, time continues to move backwards (the clock and the counter both tick backward whilst playing the map as we kill Zombies), until they eventually get to the period where the weird experiment happens that we see on the loading screen. They then somehow get involved in it and zapped by it, and it is this strange force that transports them to China. I effect, we'd be playing Nuketown moving forward in time (we know this because of the Moon Ee progressing, despite the clock and counter going backwards), but the TRANZIT 4 would be traveling backwards through time. We never meet Marlton, only hear him so it could work. I'm going to try and find Marlton's bunker quotes and reverse them to see if it makes sense / more sense backwards. I don't know how else to finish this post, so plead let me know what you think. Possible? ---EDIT--- So just did a search and found this viewtopic.php?f=136&t=26236 where people are talking about street lamps / places and what clock number they represent. Based on what i reported above: Bus Depot/Bus Depot Lamp = 8 Diner/Diner Lamp = 4 Then you could also assume: Farm = 2 Power station = 12 Town = 10 ---EDIT EDIT--- So was thinking about this last night when I'd finished writing it, the tunnel could even be 12 on the clock as 12 is the time of day that one day changes to another. If its 12, the clocks number locations would then be: Diner = 10 Farm = 8 Power = 6 Town = 4 Bus Depot = 2

Next Zombie Map Prediction (Die Rise Loading Screen Hints)
nockscitney replied to ERich935's topic in Research & Development
Would 3arc really expect people to pay for an updated map that was free the first time around. I personally don't think so, so I'm ruling Kino out. As for Paris and the Eiffel Tower, it would fit I to the BO2 story to date nicely, activating the towers / spires. What I want to ask though, would 3arc follow IW's mission from MW3 as the tower is knocked over and destroyed. Would 3arc be aloud to touch Paris as IW had done it? Granted that a) in game time about 14 years have passed so it could have been rebuilt, and it was in an IW game, ultimately it's still activision so they probarbly have some sort of say that they can or can't merge the 2. I was reading a thread the other day where someone claimed to have found references to Samantha while on a mission in Paris on MW3, and while I played it down at the time and there was no supporting evidence, it could be valid I guess. -
I think Richthofen. Remember, he only started on his path of madness because Maxis didn't approve of his research and didn't support him in the funding / production of the wunderwaff, which had been previously promised. I think Edward is more out for revenge against maxis (further to that that he has already inflicted). Having said that, what are the true intentions of the Vril-ya, the ones that are truly in control IMO

Calendars in Die Rise mark Moon's time period?
nockscitney replied to JuggerWicho's topic in Die Rise
This isn't the first reference to ICE I've found in the zombies story line. Just looking back now at the Moon loading screen and there is something there advertised called "Space Ice", with a picture of a rocket. I don't know if this has meaning to anything else, but could be a connection possibly? -
Looking at this again, I'm seeing a face on it that I hadn't seen before. Look closely at the image I posted with the Colour Levels changed. What if, the silhouette isn't the head and instead the facial features I identified, actually belong to a face that has it's right hand side facing the camera rather than it's left? Can anyone else see that? Again a bit far fetched I know . . .
-
Ok, I know this isn't really the right place for it (covers Kino, Five and also a potential theory on Die Rise Loading screen, so that's reason for posting here) and it may seem like a bit of a troll but please hear me out and tell me what you think. So I've hinted at on another forum that the tear on the RHS of the Die-Rise loading screen may relate to the Silhouette's on the maps Kino and Five. So I fired up Black Ops this morning to take a look. The best image I got was from the image that can be found in the "Board Room" type room on Five where the PAP is When I got in front of my computer this morning and made the comparison to the shape of this and the tare on the loading screen, it is not similar at all, so I've not ditched that theory. However, I still strongly believe that the picture from Kino/Five is maxis. Anyway, moving on, I was reading some more bits about the portraits today (as I've only just noticed the name Wendee on them, but I believe this has been discussed before). I came a cross a post (cant remember if it was here or on another forum) and it was hinting that the portrait of the silhouette had maybe had some sort of Colour Level changes made to it. So the next thing that I did was see if I could get anything else from the image by playing with the levels and I ended up with the following So this image is the same as the first one with RGB levels played with in Fireworks. Now I'm not claiming that the image I took was the best quality, however what I (possibly) see is a nose, an eye and a mouth, all the facial features. You could (depending at how far you look into it) even say that this "person" has a centre parting style hair cut, as it looks like a large are of the top sweeps down over the side of his face (dare I say it, a bit Hitler style). At first I thought I'm not so sure as the position of the ear is a long way back in relation to the "eye", but then the more I looked at it, the more I started to believe it could be a person, possibly the first indication of (if it is him) what maxis looks like? Like I said at the start of this post, it may seem like a massive troll to some, but I read some others opinions and tried something different and came up with a "far fetched", put slightly possible conclusion. Given what we've already gone through and seen in zombies, isn't it all a little crazy? Be interesting to see what you all think. Anyone else done anything similar before?

Had a look at this this morning and with Dempsy you get "It's a Picture of No-one", so you are quite right in that it's very vague

Calendars in Die Rise mark Moon's time period?
nockscitney replied to JuggerWicho's topic in Die Rise
Just an observation here, but even though the date starts on Monday on one and Sunday on the other, the same day on both sides of the calendar is still highlighted in red (the Sunday) so I don't think it matters a great deal. Whether it be a Monday or a Sunday the day highlighted red on the game calendars will be a Sunday wont they? -
I may have a look at this tomorrow when I whack my PS on. The only reason is that if it is there, I wonder if the characters say anything when you press the action button on it. IIRC when you pressed the action button on one of the 4 "heroes" portraits they said something about them . . . .

Thanks for the tip about running up to Jugg. May be the best one if I don't have EMP's. With regards to the EMP's, if you put them to sleep in say town and then move through the fog to another location, will they remain asleep or do they wake up and follow you? Another idea I was thinking was running down by pack a punch, running them all the way to the machine (only 1 or 2 of course) and then going back to deposit, as the corridor is wide enough to get past them without damage (he says). When I play for point building / banking I don't tend to put the power on (as it just adds extra time to setup) so it's not always a viable solution.

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone has a good strategy when playing solo do deposit points in the bank. What's the best way to hold the zombies off to give you enough time to put it all in the bank. I was thinking it's probably leave one Zombie, Go to town, EMP the zombie to put him to sleep and then do the business. That's all well and good but if you don't have the EMP's (because we all know how hard it is to get them from the box, and in addition, when playing solo you may not be relying on the box too much [i tend to use either MP5 or M16, depending on where you're training]) I don't really know. Monkey's don't give you a great deal of time, but you have the same issue trying to get these as you do with EMPS. Anyone got any ideas?

Watch Theatre Videos Online (Without Console)
nockscitney replied to nockscitney's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Thanks Guys, I was just curious -
I was thinking this and trying to back it up from image on the net but failed. I though there was only the 4 Characters portraits on Kino. Would have to go back and check to be sure. Wasn't there a silhouette portrait in the "Board Room" on Five?
-
Is this possible? I was kind of hoping that it was when I saw that you could link you're You Tube account to your COD Elite account but it looks highly unlikely and I can't even see any Zombie gameplay vids on the Elite website. Shame if not really as I edited up my EE vid from last night, with all the key steps, and would have been good to share.

We did it last night at Town and Bus Depot, so Diner isn't necessary. -
Written Guide to Tower of Babble EE - Updated for 2 players
nockscitney replied to way2g00d's topic in TranZit
Got this bad boy done last night (2P/Maxis Side YAY, had 3 players originally but the third kept timing out, but luckily for him he was in the game when the achievement hit). Something that I noticed, but I haven't seen posted anywhere before. When you're trying to get the "HIM" to spawn in and you kill the last zombie when the lightning is high in the sky, if you don't see him but the lightning is constant and you don't hear any thunder, he will be in the area and have spawned in (the lightning will continue until you defeat "HIM"). We got him to spawn in at the start of round 3 last night but he didn't show up for about 4 minutes, because he spawned in all the way over at Nacht, but I knew he was there because of the lightning. As I said just thought I would post as I've not seen this written anywhere before and it may help someone who is trying to do Maxis. Also, to debunk another theory I've seen as well (not sure if it was on here or on another site), you Don't need to use the same turbines that were under the pylon to place at the street lights. I know this as one of the turbines blew up after I threw the EMP at "HIM" and my mate picked up a new one and used that. -
I can't take credit for it, I saw it on here.

That and a lot of Fan Art. Whilst I'm convinced it is "a person", the shape is quite irregular. They have no neck and their arm is pointing at 45 degrees between horizontal and vertical. Thinking about it like that, it kind of points me in the direction that the tear is actually the figure you can see stood in front of the tower, who looks like they take this pose.
