  1. I thought revives do matter? Hasn't it been proven that K/D isn't the only criteria for ranking up? Kd isn't the only criteria. But it does play a huge role. Someone that played easy all the time with a 200 kd will have less of a chance at getting shotties then someone that played regular zombies and has a 190 kd. If someone only played till round 10 and quit out to save their kd would have less of a chance of getting shotties then someone that gets to a high rounds and has a similar kd. And then again you can't tell what someone's true kd is because now grief and turned are counted separately. So what you see is different from what they know. Unless the person told you their stats without their versus stats. But to get back to the topic. I had another shotgun hate on me when I had shotguns. I think they were just trolling, but I can see why people think shotgun ranks are dicks. And if you downed yourself to get perma jug, then thats your fault for screwing up your chances of getting a rank. Perma perks are meant to help you if you are having a bad game. I don't even think they should go over from game to game.
  2. so let me get this straight, element 115 does or doesn't turn dogs into zombies in real life? because you made it sound totally believable. lol
  3. retriever can easily be received on round 3 solo. It COULD be received on round 2 if you could manage your points super effectively. Here is all you have to open: -first 1000 point door -1000 points to the infirmary -1000 points to the top of the jail cell from infirmary -(x2)750 trip to the gondola -1500 points door from the wardens office to the tunnels. Heres how many zombies you have. (these numbers are solo) 6 in the first round 20 from the showers 7 from round 2. (8 total but you have to save 1 to truly get it on round 2. So the totals equal: 6000 points from 33 zombies. So that wouldn't be to hard if you could get the extra 10 points from hitmarkers. 33 zombies *130 would give you 4290 +500 points from the start equals 4790. No where close to the amount needed. To be exact, 1210 off. But wait, there are double points. So you could easily kill off 6-8 zombies from the 20 zombie hoard to get that extra points. So yes the earliest you can get the retriever is round 2. But by doing this, you make the early rounds 5x as harder than they should be.
  4. I still think it has a max of 6 kills. I found out that aiming at the lower part of the zombie that you are trying to hit will give it a better chance of it hitting that zombie first. I have had multiple times where a redeemer has gone straight through a zombie's chest that I was aiming at. Now that I aim at the feet/legs it doesn't seem to be a problem for me.
  5. I was playing with everything piff and one of his subs. The sub was a little kid and he wasn't able to get his redeemer the first try. So all of us was doing this strategy that involved all four of us to be on the roof. Well the little kid went to go get his redeemer (he was able to get it the second time we went to the bridge)I was assigned the job to escort him to the showers to he could get his redeemer without going down. Well he hit the afterlife switch by the remington, to go get his redeemer Well here is what happens after he gets his redeemer. This kid was sooo happy he got it, he sprinted STRAIGHT back to the roof to continue killing. He totally forgot to revive himself. It was sooo funny.
  6. You are a dedicated Zombie Slayer, I tell you what. Is that a king of the hill reference?
  7. I really wasn't even bored. I woke up at 6 in the morning knowing I would only have about 4 hours to play before I had to head out to the airplane. (I hadn't even packed yet so I knew i would need two hours to do that) So it was round 95 and each round took about 16-20 mins. So those rounds weren't to bad because I was fresh after a 4 hour nap. And I had goals along the way. I wanted to get to 60. When I got there I was happy because I already had a map best. I then set a new goal of 80 so I would beat my all round best of 79 on die rise. Once I got there I knew 100 wasn't far off I just knew that the 80s was gonna be just a big ass grind. And since I have two tvs in my room and it was late, I just turned on cartoon network and watched king of the hill while playing zombies. Every 30 minute episode was two more rounds complete lol.
  8. die rise is much faster than motd shooter
  9. Nah nothing special happened really. All I know is that I sprinted to the docks went into afterlife 3 times then dolphin dived off the top to the spot near the dog for an epic suicide. (I actually tried to do this in a four person game and I didn't die....)
  10. I always find it excruciatingly difficult to recover and go down that damned stairwell. Once you get past the numbers machine, that small staircase leading to the outside will definitely be a make-or-break for you. Having a Zombie Shield can help, but it's risky on the higher rounds. In the higher rounds 75+, the only problem I had was after I got jug and returning to the gondola. A group of 4-6 zombies would have spawned and jumped over the metal plate by the gondola already. All I would do since I have electric cherry would shoot and it would zap them and I would just slide past.
  11. Well I don't soley use the traps I had about 15k kills due to the redeemer. Only 77 headshots 8-) And it really wasn't tooo boring. At times it did get there, but I had plenty of xbox friends to talk to during some of the time and then my cousin came over and we played. I took like 5 min breaks every few rounds so I could come talk on here. And for video wise, my roxio wasn't set up and I do have a video of me from my cousin's cell potato. And perfect the feeling was awesome. I started filming at around 19 mins into round 99 and my cousin was holding the camera, once I took over in the last 30 seconds, you could see the screen start shaking soooo bad lol.
  12. Just got my first round 100. Now to go back to the other maps and try them out again. I started around 4 o'clock and ended about 830 this morning with multiple breaks in between and a 4 hour nap.
  13. what started out as a game to see if i could get the spork and redeemer by round 12 has now ended up being my very first super high game. Im at 88 now and working on 100 if time permits
  14. Yeah it makes all Acid Trap strategies faster. You can still do cutbacks there, though, it's just not as easy. If you want to make this map as fast as possible, you do the Tomahawk + Acid Trap and you keep the shower door closed as well as the door to the main cell block. I just don't like doing that. It makes the map WAY too linear for my liking. Recovering from a down can be an absolute BITCH with both doors closed. All in all, I keep it open. It's faster with it closed, but not THAT much faster. My round 99 was something like 19 minutes; I8911T's (with the door closed) was 18. It's not going to matter much in the long run. Awesome. How do you personally recover from a down? I get a shield, go up to infirmary and then go by electric cherry (do you keep that door closed to?) to the gondola. I purchase EC on the way and after using the gondola i get jug and run back to it. Then I go get speed after riding up the gondola and then go through the tunnels back to the acid trap while getting double tap. Also on this strategy run, I ended up just dropping my second weapon by paping it but not picking it up. I was going down because I was running with the ray gun and no matter how much I told myself, I couldn't put it into my head to run with the vitriolic out.
  15. Have you tried a game with the showers closed from the top? I see a lot of people playing with that door closed. KingJag said something about it giving him extra cut back space but that was a long time ago, does keeping that door closed/open make it faster? I prefer it open just so I can get the spork and redeemer by round 12
  16. i tried doing it solo (kill 4 on bridge then go back to alcatraz but couldnt get a 5th brutus to spawn
  17. The executioner is a newer type of gun so it, like all of the newer guns, can be PAP
  18. I should have made it more clear  It was late and i just wanted to go to sleep.
  19. The zombies can kill you while you are in afterlife. So I was doing some late night playing with some guys that invited me. They went down, I revived them they went down again. I tried to get to the one dying out faster and got trapped. While reviving myself the zombies piled up on me and when they hit me it would take my afterlife away eventually killing me. So beware they can take bits of your afterlife every time they hit you, and if they do it fast and in a large quantity, then you are dead
  20. I wasn't able to get that two player game in, but was able to do a 3 player game. They really didn't listen and we had some problems so we got to the bridge during round 9. But we did hear the cue at the end of round 10 if that says anything. But here is some proof from another topic ( I swear I hadn't seen it before this) These people also experienced what I had experienced. SO yea the earliest you can get the redeemer is round 12
  21. In black ops i used a 10 thinking everyone did it because my cousin used it. Then I played mw3 and started geting into the competitive side of cod. Then I found out that their sensitivity was really low so I lowered mine and saw my accuracy sky rocket. Now bo2 rolls around and it has zombies and multiplayer so I play with a 6 in multiplayer games and somewhere from a 9-11 in zombies.
  22. I hear sounds every time I knock off a head, but the sound that the op is talking about is totally original and sounds differently.
  23. I don't even think its possible to get it "early" anymore. I mean I know for a fact the earliest you can get it is round 12 solo. Hmmm maybe a co-op guide by round 10? Possibly? its a possibility. Im going to play a 2 player game today and il try it out.
  24. I don't even think its possible to get it "early" anymore. I mean I know for a fact the earliest you can get it is round 12 solo.
  25. Here Just know that you get 20 kills and not 24 from the laundry room. I also have started just doing all of round 1 and then feeding the first dog on round two, save a zombie, activate the laundry room, bring the 21 zombies up and kill off about 14 of them using the double points there going for headshots with the mp5. and then kill the rest up in the infirmary. Doing this will avoid getting nukes by headshots and then after that you go through the top and use the gondola. you should already have the gondola powered up if you used strategies found in this topic.
