  1. GREAT THEORY. How do you explain the multiple brutus that spawn in golden gate bridge. i understand that he can come back after you "kill" him but how would you explain there being 3 at one time?
  2. That sucks. one thing that happened to me once was that the first zombie gave me a nuke taking a good 3k away from me. Tip #9 after fliping on the laundry room, if you can manage not killing any of the zombies, you can train them up to spawn and get the double points and get around 6k in the first round.
  3. So in Die Rise I had a lot of callouts to help with easter eggs and perk callouts. well going into mob of the dead, I tried thinking of some more callouts to help the new players out. Well with the help of the map and a lot of hours already put into the map, I have some for you guys. I also want to tell you how I split the map. I have it split into 5 areas. Cafeteria side/cell blocks/wardens side/tunnels/docks. these 5 sections are where most of the callouts will be taking place. Spawn- well we all know what that is Cafeteria- This is where the acid trap is and where the claymores are located. there is a crafting bench there where I love to place my zombie shield. Cafeteria Side Dog (also called bathtub/deadshot daiquiri area)- this is the area where a part of the acid gat kit thing is. you also have a dog spawn here. I call it bathtub sometimes because this is where you get the golden spork. Roof- this is pretty much self explanatory. this is where the plane is built. I also heard that there is sometimes a piece to the acid gat kit up there. So thats the cafeteria side of the Map. Lets talk about the middle. Cell Blocks- This is pretty much a huge area of the map. So you usually want to tell your teammates if you are on the bottom/middle/top floor. You can be more specific by saying you are by the dog, or on the bottom by the wardens office. Finally you can say if you are up top by saying next to gondola or next to cherry coke (my nickname, i really don't know the real name) The tunnels is next and there are four main parts of the tunnels. Meet room (also know as showers and laundry room) this area is right under the wardens key area next to the cafeteria. You see a lot of dead bodies hanging like cows do in the butcher shop (hence the name meat room) for some thats to graphic so call it laundry room Double tap area- This is right when you leave double tap. next to the hells retriever room and if memory serves me correct, next to the generator. Another tip for double tap is to go into afterlife in the meat room and run to double tap to power it up. Spiral staircase- this area is crucial to building the plane. This is the area with the numbers on the wall that can only be seen while in purgatory/afterlife. You can say you are by the top or the bottom area to further help your teammates if you go down. IF you go down at the very bottom where you retrieve the piece for the plane, you might want to say goodbye because no sane teammate will help you generator room- This place is also another key part to the plane building. This spot holds a mp5 and is close to the docks. it holds a piece to the zombie shield and if you don't mind the long walk can be accessed by only opening one door iff you are cheap or it helps your strategy. Alright I will now explain the warden side. The warden area starts right where you go to purgatory and have to jump up and get the key and hit the power switch to open the door. Zombies spawn extremely fast in this area and speed cola is not worth getting if you are in the high rounds and need to get it. a piece to the acid gat kit can be found here in 2 spots from my experiences. and a piece to the plane can also be found here but the power needs to be turned off in the generator room. Warden stairs- these stairs are right outside the wardens trap. these lead to the tunnels. Not much to say about the warden area so i thought i would throw these into this section. This staircase can be an easy way to the docks if you want to go underground rather the gondola. Now the final section is the docks gondola area- This is the whole section from gondola to jug. this place isn't the best place to get trapped at but you can get from gondola to jug easily if you just went down there. Bottom part- there is a piece to the zombie shield here and you also have a decent training area here. the last dog to be fed is located here and there is a work bench here also. don't get caught by the tower because the tower trap isn't always the best and getting through the tight corners with a lot of zombies is kind of hard. A part of the plane is located here. another little tip is that you can power up the gate to the piece and juggernog in the same afterlife if you hurry. no need to waist two afterlifes Of course I want forget golden gate bridge. Nothing much to talk about there. one of the best training spots except for the lack of drops and the multiple Brutus spawns. This guide isn't the most in depth guide of the map. just to help you get around and know some of the callouts that are mentioned throughout the forum or if you are down you can help teammates that are far away get to you. or for you to get to them.
  4. yea i usually have the sweeper and the vitriolic withering at the same time in solo. i use the sweeper all the way to 41 and only really used the V.W. to get the golden spork. I like the sweeper more.
  5. Did...did you knife all the way to round 35...? ...or did you just test each round...? Lol I just tested at the start of each round. I got my first hitmarker on round 35. I was getting hitmarkers on round 34.. weird
  6. yea. tip #3 says not to use your last after life. Tip #8 In solo don't try getting speed cola in the middle of the round in the higher rounds. the spawns are crazy fast and there is no room to train. I went down on round 41 for the first time. got jug without any problems and then went for speed cola. went down after getting it. then went down after reviving myself. was able to get jug again and stupidly came back for speed cola. and went down again to end the game.
  7. Tip #7 Going back to tip #5, when you start the game while in purgatory mode run over to the door closest to the cafeteria. look through the window of the baricaded door and you can see the warden's key. It will be all shiny and electrified. So if you don't see it, you may want to go ahead and restart. Why? because it helps if you have that key on round 1 so you can start getting pieces to the plane and get that extra full wave of zombies in the laundry room.
  8. Mob of the Dead, Tip of the Day So I have had some computer troubles and because of that I can't make videos. So instead of that im just going to write them all down here and hopefully I can get it all in video form later. So in this topic Im just going to post some tips I have found throughout the game and most of these tips will probably be for solo. Il probably start with more than one today because I have a lot of them, but here we go... Tip #1 As soon as you start the game, instead of reviving yourself go ahead and turn on that power switch so you can get a double points later on. Tip #2 You only get 3 afterlife tokens max and one extra per round, so use them fast. You might think it would be better to stay in the 1st room till round 3-5 but get out of there and start using your tokens. this is even better online where you only have 1 per teammate. Tip #3 Don't start a round by going into afterlife if thats your last one. You never know how that round may play out and if you are playing solo if you used that last afterlife token to power up a perk, that perk is useless when you go down and the game is over. Tip #4 Feed the dogs slow. They don't eat super fast so make sure you kill a zombie one at a time if its safe. If a dog has a zombie in its mouth wait for it to finish before killing the next. you can get all 3 dogs fed by round 5 if you do it right. Tip #5 On round 1 you can do a lot of things in the first afterlife after purchasing the first door. Go over to the mp5 (close to the cafeteria) and enter the after life. If the warden key is up there, jump up and activate that, run down and run through the wall to power up that switch that opens up the laundry room. After that you can also turn on the power to the jail cell with the other double points drop. then revive yourself. you will have time unless you make to many errors. So i advise you to make yourself comfortable before trying all 3 at once. If the warden key isn't there, you may want to restart or go use your other afterlife to get the warden key because its key (excuse the pun) to the next tip. Tip #6 so 6 zombies is what you think is the max amount of kills you can get on round 1? think again. get your key and run down to the meat room. open the washing machine, go to afterlife, power it up and revive yourself. once you turn on the washing machine, a whole wave will spawn in. thats 24 more zombies. you can get a good 3k points while knifing and with some shooting and luck you could end round 1 with a total of 5k+ points. Tip #9 after fliping on the laundry room, if you can manage not killing any of the zombies, you can train them up to spawn and get the double points and get around 6k in the first round. Tip #10 All working benches are compatible. You can use the cafeteria/electirc cherry/ or docks to build your zombie shield or acid gat kit. If you happen to have all 6 parts, you can switch between what you build by pushing the directional buttons. Tip #11 The Golden spork can be obtained by viewtopic.php?f=149&t=31109 and is a one hit kill up to round 34. On 34 it becomes a two hit kill. Tip #11 Not really a tip but some cool thing to do. While riding the plane, you can throw your tomahawk at the roof. it will come back but never get to you so it will have a constant animation of it trying to get to you. You will get it back though so don't worry Tip #12 Have gondola at top to have quick and easy access to jug if you go down. Usually I use the gondola to get down but end up forgetting to call it back once I go back to my training spot. So make sure you take it back up. Tip #13 If you are trying to have 2 blundergats at the same time or having two players have one, make sure you have the box one first. This way if you get the 5 skulls to get the free blundergat the box will not give away a blundergat. Tip #14 There are 4 forms of the blundergat. I have comprised a little picture in paint of all four forms. and how to get them. You start with the blundergat. you can packapunch it to get the sweeper or go ahead and use the acidgat kit to get the acidgat gun. if you get the sweeper you can keep that or use the acid gat kit to change it to the vitriolic withering. If you have the acidgat gun you are stuck with the acid effect but can still pack a punch it to the vitriolic withering. Tip #15 it takes a total of 26 seconds to call up and be able to use the gondola once you hold x to call it. 15.62 seconds for it to come up if you have to call it and 10.46 seconds of recharge time. yea these numbers may be a little off (by half a second) but for the most part they are correct. Tip #16 you can get a free ride on the gondola if you have a partner on the opposite side of the gondola. Tip #17 You can get a hell's redeemer by doing the following steps thank you jugger wicho Tip #18 A much cheaper way to the gondola is to go from the second dog spawn in the infirmary. you can open the door on top and run straight to electric cherry and into the gondola. this will cut the expenses in half. To be more accurate the door that most people use is the door from the library area (spawn) that has the double staircase. That is 2000 while the door from the infirmary that takes you to electric cherry is 1000. Tip #19 The upgraded Hell's retriever is called the Hell's Redeemer and can be a one shot as far as round 51 (could be longer but died at round 51) Tip #20 You can turn on electric cherry, the gondola, the wardens office, and speed cola with the same purgatory. You don't have to have any of the cell doors open either. Heres what you do. You go into afterlife by electric cherry. turn that and the gondola on. jump all the way down to the wardens office. jump up into the wardens office area and power it up. run over to speed cola and power that up. this is where it gets tricky. you have to run all the way back and jump from ledge to ledge to get back to your body. the pro players can do this without a video tutorial, but if you need help refer to this video: Tip #21 In Cell Block Grief, a good area to hold off with a friend is inside the wardens office. you have two people inside the entrance guarding both ways. And if if you see an enemy coming from the hallway, you can turn on the trap making it harder for him to get in. Tip #22 The Vitriolic Withering is Insta Kill ONLY if it direct impacts a zombie. (thank you perfectlemonade) Tip #23 The blundergat/sweeper can one shot brutus if you shoot him in the head. Make sure you are close and have the all the crosshairs on his head. Tip #24 Only 4 Brutus can spawn on golden gate bridge. If you stay for 10 rounds you will still only have 4 brutus spawn in that round. Tip #25 When going down make sure you use the gondola. With the gondola, you can get juggernog super easy when coming down, the zombies do not spawn fast enough for them to get to you. if you do another lap, down the curve and through the generator room and up the white staircase, you can get back to the gondola safely to get back to your training spot in the cafeteria. Tip #26 If you are going for a high round i solo zombies do not hit the box. Get your free blundergat and your favorite wall gun. This isnt to upset the boxgods but to not get fire sales. This will give better chances for max ammos. Tip #27 If you are playing online, you can open up a lot of things at once. On round 2 I opened up the showers room, cell block w/ double points, wardens key, gondola, electric cherry, wardens office, and speed cola. All in one afterlife. All you have to do is have a buddy revive you halfway repeatedly till you are done. A video of this is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4pT_X7xVc Tip #28 you can retrieve power ups through the cell door without opening it up. You can also throw it through the wall. Example: if you by the cell blocks next to cafeteria you can get the max ammo from the cell in the wardens office hallway. You can also get the double points from the cell block next to cafe from the shower room Tip #29. The Sweeper with double tap is a one shot kill up to round 50(and possibly after im only on round 50 atm) you have to aim for the head. This is probably not effective for round 42+ but it is still possible. Tip #31 If you are feeding the dog on docks in multiplayer, to avoid zombies from jumping down from jug, have a player sit up there and kill zombies. If its a lower round then you may not want to do this to feed the dog quicker, but in the latter rounds (7+) the zombies come out pretty fast and there is enough zombies to not worry about losing zombies from up top.
  9. I love the hells retriever. I usually get it by round 7. I love just randomly throwing it around while building the plane
  10. The worst place to get caught is the bottom of the big spiral staircase with the part to the airplane and the numbers. Im talking about the part where you actually get the part. I got caught there twice. The second time i was super lucky and got a nuke the first zombie i killed. And this spot is super easy to get caught in because when in the middle of the round if you running down the "staircase" and u are in a hurry and take a wrong turn you are pretty much screwed lol. The best spot to train is golden gate bridge as long as you have a weapon to kill fergusson at the start of the round?
  11. So the three spots i have trained at are all kind of hard to do consistently. the three ones i like are by the docks, the meat room (laundry room) and at pack a punch. Ferguson(the warden) is super easy to kill with an upgraded ray gun so when 3 spawn at pack a punch i can get them all down pretty fast. and the open area makes it real easy to train at pack a punch.
  12. Im definetly coming back but its going to be a month or 2. I dont see me beating my high round of 79anytime soon so thats another reason for me not playing this map
  13. I always hit box mid round and pap mid round. I hate waiting 20 mins every round so i dont ask others to do it for me. If imat the pap and i hear the LAST zombie i might ask to wait 1 minute but 1 minute at tops.
  14. So after countless hours of playing this map. I would like to give it a good goodbye. it is now my "favorite" zombie map by my stats. My first round 50 on this map. and it will be a good while before I come back to it. I played transit like 3 times max since die rise came out and I expect it to be the same for die rise. I love this map and will return, but it may be a month :?
  15. well it could be that they didn't care or it could be that there is a perk limit. they took out the fn of the fnfal because of the little room left of coding. so there may be a problem with 6+ perks.
  16. That's just wrong. People that are higher ranks do not make them better players. Some of the worst players I've known had shotguns on their emblem. but the chances of them being better is much higher. i rather do the chance game then hop into a lobby and see 3 crossbones with mics and hope to get to round 25 without people backing out.
  17. Nope. heres what happens. ok you start a game with jug pro. you go down on round 5 and 10. each time you get up you will still have perm jug even if you had the perk-a-cola jug. on round 15 at the beginning you will hear a sound saying you lost a permanent perk. but you will still have it. you will take 5 hits till your screen is red. lets say you do good and you get all the way to round 42. you go down. you will then get up and you will actually lose perma jug. and once you get perk-a-cola jug you will take 4 hits before your screen goes red.
  18. Here is how i usually go into a map. i find a lobby and try to find a knife. if it gets full i hit map and then hit the game mode again. until i find a 2nd guy. then i back out invite him and get a third. after i usually get 3 it becomes hard for my connection to find people. i tell someone to back out and repeat the process for me for the 4th. i know its bad to nit pick your teammates morally, but it helps. it might take 30 minutes. but zombies is all about waiting and getting that perfect team. if you don't have time play grief...
  19. and nuketown doesn't have main characters... did you ever stop to think that if they added a new perk to die rise it wouldn't have to be in an elevator. you can have just have that ONE perk machine like they did in Nacht... also, stamin up would be usefull in die rise, as you could run with the sliquifier... phd isnt in tranzit, not because it would make jumping out of the town buildings, the farm buildings, and the power buildings way too big of an exploit, but because they didn't feel like adding it. also look back, the americans gained the ability to have phd flopper on the moon. you could come back to area 51 with phd. they did have it there is no reason to get all defensive about what i theorized. people do it all the time and you don't have to get so upset.
  20. 2+ hrs....
  21. how long did it take for cash back to be actually revealed? Die rise came our on Feb 28th, and the thread on cash back was made on March 5th. So about 5 days. I think it would have been found by more than one person by now if it was a real perma-perk. Die rise may have came out then. But the update came b4 and took forever to perfect
  22. I learned back on moon that it takes a good 30 mins of searching to find a good team odf randoms. A two boner isnt always bad. I had one save an easter egg before.
  23. Yea i just started playing multiplayer again. Finally got my aim back. Almost dropped a nuclear and now im going to lose my aim after a week straight of playing motd
  24. What makes you say that? Moon had 8... Kino had 4, as you progress through the maps you gain more perks, there is no "limit" on them... Also why does this topic still have (proof) up there? There is no proof, none... At all... Only speculation... And further more, if you remove quick revive, you loose one of the most helpfull perks in black ops two in multiplayer zombies! Surely we'd still be able to revive teammates! Because there r 6 perks in tranzit and 6 on die rise. Why not add stamina up to die rise. Why not add phd to tranzit. Its just might be a coincedence that there are only having 6 perks per map. Ike they did in die rise to make them have 50k points And like others said they may have mod controls just l
  25. no there was ways to glitch into the wall so zombies couldn't hit you.
