Origins is a great example of going back to our roots. Origins is by far the hardest map in black ops 2 and probable one of the top 5 hardest map.

10 round challenge(goto 10r chall. (steps to completion)

I think the WR for the easter egg solo is round 17. Not sure if anyone has done it earlier then that but i can confirm round 17 -
How to setup for high rounds without touching mystery box.
TheBSZombie replied to way2g00d's topic in Origins
Well if you wanted to do a speed run, you prob wouldnt open up gen 5. Just to save points and time turning on the generator unless your speed run involved the lightning staff. But yeah the staff task to make ultimate i think lightning would indeed be faster but im still not sure it would be faster overall in rounds 30-50 -

On average the lightning would be faster to be built. But ice would actually be faster to build if you are lucky -
When dow the boomhilda stop killing compared to the mark 2? I have killed with the rgm2 in the late 80s but havent gotten that far in origins yet.

How to setup for high rounds without touching mystery box.
TheBSZombie replied to way2g00d's topic in Origins
Way i started playing more careless on solo, that is not trying to pap round 5, have three staffs by round 5, plus being ready to upgrade and it seems to be easier that way. Idk why but it may also be that i just stopped worrying about the damn airstrikes or the chests. The rewards for either of those two items are completely worthless and there is no point in getting them in my opinion. Unless of course you are doing the easter egg. But that is my opinion, some may like them better. The only thing I do differently is I dont shoot on round 1. Instead I use the double points on round 2. This saves 40 shots that for the most part will get collateral damage and get you more points in the end since there are 2 more zombies on round 2 then there are on round 1. -
I think the best way to do it would be to build the ultimate staff you want to use to test. Get a max ammo with it, and stash it away never to use it again till desired round. Then make sure you use up all the ammo that round without getting any max ammos. This would have to be done 4 times. One for each staff. But it wouldn't be as simple as that. The best strategy for the ice staff is not the best method for the lightning staff. So that creates bias. Would you make the experiment have the same strategy for each staff so there would be no bias? But if you do that, you are taking out one of the best advantages of the ice staff. So that would be bias in itself. Plus like chopper said, no one wants to play 70 rounds then test this out. Especially multiple times. I said earlier that you would have to do it 4 times, but in reality, if you wanted to get accurate results, it would have to be done about 5 times per staff with multiple people to reduce variability in the data. This isnt even all the things we would have to look into. So like MMX said, it will be hard to do something like this. [/i guess me taking ap stats this year has already paid off so far ]

I dont know much about custom maps since i dont have pc zombies, but if there is a loading screen or cut scene, that should defiantly be there in blood on a black screen.

Infest was working on a custom map thingamajig for this site. Perhaps we could finish it and have at the top "In memory of Brian 'Yoteslaya'" or something like that, like books and films do? Great idea murder. Was there any thing in zombies that he loved the most? Favorite weapon? Character? Did he have a catch phrase?

Jimmy Z Tweets - Explaining Rank
TheBSZombie replied to yourmapper's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I only left a comment cus i saw no one else mentioning it. If there were already comments calling him out then i would have remained silent. But anyways, the reason piff credited DBZ is because he saw your tweet as the first reaponse to jimmy's tweet. Or one of the first. -
The thing with staffs is that if you are skillful, q staff can kill more than 24 zombies. So you would have to figure out the time that each bursts last/killing speed/ammo count/damage output and there are probably a few other smaller variables that need to be added before you can find the absolute favorite. Oh and my favorite staff member? Would either be grill, flammen, chooper, or way. All great contributors

At least everythingpiff gave credit to DBZ. -
I guess all of them should have been an option, o well. But im surprised no one had voted for fire. A lot of people were saying how fire was the best in the beginning, but now its between the other three. i love ice because its the only staff that has an added bonus of free zombie blood :)
-
So after the map being out for a couple months, what is your favorite staff? Mine is either the ice or wind staff.

Is it possible to be a consistent solo player?
TheBSZombie replied to TEHELFIE001's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Going down pre-30 hurts me all the time. Sometimes even as early as round 1 as dbz said. This happens on origins a LOT. Going through the tunnels or the mud paths in the early rounds the tiniest of slips puts me down and it stinks... -
What control style do you use??
TheBSZombie replied to The Clay Bird's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I use color blind assist because there used to be a glitch on mw3 where you could see enemy stealth bombers if you had color blind assist on. Now im just used to the color scheme it has. I play 14 sensitivity with tactical layout. -
Coop vs solo? Thats a debate thats been going on for years, literally. And quite frankly it comes down to a few factors: teammates, connection, and time. Anything else such as awareness, lack of concentration, or anything else for that matter could be argued against both sides and for that reason is really irrelevant and really does not need to be discussed. Time for most people is a limited thing. And for that reason along most people say that solo is much easier because of the pause button. But for most instances, if you have a full day's time, you can get to round 100 on a few maps. Plus with the addition of the wonderful tactical grenade the emp, you can get to any round you wish on Tranzit, farm, and town (Yes it will take a loads of time, but its possible). Also with some handywork with consruction your controller, you can get a zombie trapped behind a barrier on almost any map by making your controller repeatedly hold x. So time as you can see becomes less of a factor and should only be factored in when talking about connection. Connection is a big in why people can say coop is harder than solo. In coop you get this annoying thing called lag. Even if its just a half a second lag, that can be the difference in you getting past that last zombie when red screened and being the hero, or dying. And then theres those instances where you get the connection interrupted and no matter what you do, when the error resolves you are down pleading to be revived and asking why the internet gods did this. But thats not the biggest issue. The biggest issue with connection is that no matter how great your connection is, you will lag out in a coop game unless its a split screen game on the same console. Because of this, every game is against that nonexistent clock. You can be the most effiecent pair of players and think you have all the time in the world, but if you disconnect from each other theres really nothing you can do. Your teammates will probably be a big concern also. A good teammate is hard to come by and most zombie players don't have the above two requisites to even think about playing with them for that high round. And even if you do find a player that has an abundance of time and fios internet, they have to be able to communicate well. Because communication plays a key role in any zombie game. They also need to be a great zombie player period. In my opinion the best coop team are two solo players that can get to round 100 easily and can pass the test of internet reliability. But thats not all, the best thing to look for in a teammate is somebody that has the morale to be a teammate. Someone that gives up because they don't have jug and they are the last alive isnt who you want. Someone that gives up because round 50 took 10 minutes, isn't a good partner. You can be the best player, but if you don't have a great attitude, I, or anyone else, will want to play with you. Because lets face it, round 100 coop is a lot of work and it needs to be a little fun So what actually is my opinion on solo vs coop? well Im above average at solo, but when it comes to coop I think its harder because like people have said before, i don't take into account other people's action and how they will affect mine. For instance I went down by the svu in die rise with who's who. I spawned by the pdw. I thought ok il let the train that killed me come to me, il circle around up the staircase, around back to the hole in the ground behind the QR elevator and then revive myself. PERFECT PLAN. But I forgot there was a teammate already by the m14. So what happens? half of the zombies goes for him and half goes for me. As I'm going up the staircase zombies start coming from up top and trap me there. All because I didn't take into account my teammate's actions. So yes, I wrote my 5 paragraph essay to tell you that coop is harder :P

60% of the time this place is a death trap for me when the walls are moving. And when they arent, the spawns are so slow...

From my experience and im not 100% sure, only the unupgraded staffs will give you max ammos

Micro Transactions Proof?? Shangri La
TheBSZombie replied to CodeNamePizza's topic in General Zombies Discussion
NONE of the Call of Duty games are "modern", for the word "modern" means current or recent past. Not future. In fact, the only thing ever really modern in Call of Duty was Call of the Dead, for it was 2011 in 2011. Simple technicalities like this is what makes court cases a wash. Thats prob exactly why it was dropped. Infinity ward just wanted money.... im glad it was because the release date of bo2 was being threatened to be pushed back. -
Micro Transactions Proof?? Shangri La
TheBSZombie replied to CodeNamePizza's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Talking about contracts, i dont think either of the two developers care about violating copyright laws. Infinity ward had exclusive rights to developing games in modern warfare. Treyarc still made black ops take place with modern warfare. There were lawsuits but they ended up being dropped i believe. -

TheBSZombie replied to Z0M3IE_SLAYA_115's topic in Extinction Mode
Yea i meant my comment as kind of a jab at the mini game when calling it a sub-par game lol. And we have a section for mw3, i dont think the site has a problem with associating itself with games that are bad ( jk ) But being serious, We could possibly just put a cod ghost section under infinity ward and then aliens under that. If it gets better, then it could possibly have its on subsection -

So he starts by saying its based on how you play overall then says that downs in early rounds effect it more than the downs in the higher rounds. Dont those two statements contradict each other..... thx mr zielinski for your trolls :)
