No, I think it occurs on December 31st, 1933 because that was when the escape took place, but since it failed, they couldn't leave the prison. Ever since all of their deaths, they are in the afterlife where they all relive the escape night over and over again, which is why sometimes they say stuff as of like either they have done this already, they know what this is for or this seems familiar. So each time they die during the zombie apocalypse on Alcatraz they are revived to start the escape night over again, which means that the cycle continues on the same night, December 31st, 1933. And the fireworks, I think that is because the people of San Francisco are celebrating New Years Eve/News Year Day (which would sadly never come for the 4 mobsters). So basically, the 4 mobsters can never escape the day of their escape (which is, once again, December 31st, 1933) ever as the cycle continues unless Arthur Arlington goes and "breaks the cycle" (a.k.a. Pop goes the Weasel). And the weapons, even though they are from different timelines (M1911 - Current, Ray Gun - WW2, MP5 - 60's, Five-Seven - Modern, PDW-57 - 2025), I don't think this helps to prove as that MotD happened at another time after the 1930's as the other maps on Black Ops 2 had weapons not from the timeline (TranZit and Die Rise had weapons from the Modern era and 2025 era, which would most likely be impossible for them to be created if Richtofen's Grand Scheme was accomplished). But then again, this is just my theory/opinion.

Okay, so I was just playing Mob of the Dead right now and I was on Round 20 with the Vitrolic Withering, Uzi, Hell's Redeemer, and 2 claymores with Jugger-Nog, Speed Cola, Double Tap and Electric Cherry, all on solo! I had just started the round with lots of zombies and 4 Brutuses. I was doing so good and was not having any problems when all of a sudden... my PS3 freezes. I couldn't move or anything, and I had to shut off my PS3. Grrr. Is this a glitch on Mob of the Dead than can affect my PS3? Edit: I just checked the leaderboards, and it didn't update the rounds I survived, all because my PS3 froze! > Also, another time I was playing Mob of the Dead with 3 other players, and I got downed. So, I went to go jet Jugger-Nog again, and while I was drinking it, and I got downed. I got mad but not too much since Jugger-Nog was right in front of me. When I got back up, I went up to the machine and it wouldn't let me buy Jugg! Knifing it didn't, and going down and reviving myself didn't help either. The round went by, so I tried to get Jugg again. No luck. This glitch really pissed me off, and I kept dying. I don't know what caused this glitch, but luckily it only happened once. What glitches have you guys encountered in Mob of the Dead?

I always wanted a Speed Cola 2.0, or at least a new perk with these effects. Speed Cola 2.0 Old Effect: Decreases Reload Time on all Weapons New Effect: Same as above, decrease in switch weapons time, ADS faster, buy weapons/drink perks faster, mantle over objects faster, use equipment faster (Grenades, Claymores, Monkey Bombs, etc.) and maybe recover from knifing faster. If they can implement this into a Speed Cola 2.0, that would be great! If not, then I hope they can implement these effects into some kind of new perk-a-cola.

Favorite: Cell Block I like Town and farm but Farm only has two wall weapons and no Pack-A-Punch and Town is alright but it the first few rounds take forever to complete, so that is why Cell Block as it has more than 2 wall weapons, it has Pack-a-Punch and the rounds don't seem to take forever. Also, it has the perks Deadshot and Phd Flopper. The only thing I don't like about Cell Block is that there is no Juggernog, but I could live without that.

Original Maps with Grief Mode
epic_oreo17 replied to epic_oreo17's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Grief maps are not meant to be big. They are the smaller maps. Farm only has one door and 2 wall guns. Town and cell block both have more doors but max out at 4. I agree with this, as Farm and Town were small, and even though Cell Block wasn't that small, all 3 were were somewhat "cluttered" with players so I think the original maps can work well with Grief, maybe even without the clutter-ness of players. -
Welcome to the forums . I hope you enjoy your stay here.

This is truly amazing! I am very content that I have read this. I would have never thought of any of this, as I was very oblivious to a lot of the extra content in Mob of the Dead. I am glad you made this, and keep up the spectacular work! :D

Original Maps with Grief Mode
epic_oreo17 replied to epic_oreo17's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Definitely Group 935, seeing as how it was their facility. Also, nice avatar. Thanks, . Hey guys, what would you think of Bus Depot Grief? How about Nuketown? And even though I think it would be ridiculous, Die Rise? -
Original Maps with Grief Mode
epic_oreo17 replied to epic_oreo17's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I personally think Americans vs. Germans would suit it better. Yeah, I think so too. But should the Germans be Nazis or members of Group 935? -
I was thinking one day for some odd reason, "What if they brought back some of the old zombie maps, and also implemented Grief mode into them?" I mean, wouldn't that be cool?... Now even though I don't think it would happen, what map would you like to see come back with Grief Mode? What area of the map would be playable, what weapons/equipment would you want there and would you add and/or remove perks from the map? I would like to see a map like Der Riese come back with Grief, as I think it is big enough for 8 players in my opinion. I would like to see the addition of Stamin-Up, Deadshot and maybe Electric Cherry. Also, put in Double Tap 2.0 as that would be awesome (and I can care less if Mule Kick is still in there or not). I would trade out the Thompson for the Black Ops 2 version (M1927) and maybe take out the Wunderwaffe DG-2 and maybe trade it in for some other Wonder Weapon. Traps will be usuable. Also, players would start in the room with the teleporter nearest the power and the room with the power (this would be good as Quick Revive would be available from the start, unlike in survival mode) . Players could teleport, but only to teleporters with the room opened (so you can not use the teleporter from the start and teleport to Pack-a-Punch). Pack-a-Punch would be in its original location, but accessible once you open to the room it's in. Also, while I don't think there should be a Hellhound round, Hellhounds should appear alongside the Zombies after certain rounds (just like in the original). The demonic announcer could be Samantha (as all this could take place before Richtofen takes controls of the zombies) and the teams can be the Marines against the Nazi's or Group 935 members. So that was my idea. What did you think of my idea? What are your ideas?

Quick Revive - Revive Soda Jugger-Nog - Jugg, Juggernaut Speed Cola - Sleight of Hand Stamin-Up - Stamina PHD Flopper - Flopper, PHD Deadshot Daiquiri - Deadshot, Headshot Mule Kick - El Burro! These are some of my nicknames for the perks.

The reason I didn't put Diner and Cell Block on the list is because you can only play Grief Mode and Turned on them, which in my opinion if it doesn't have Survival Mode on it, I don't think I should count it.

I've never heard of that zombies map before.

Thank you, I have updated the poll. :)

So guys, there has been a lot of Call of Duty Zombies map that we have enjoyed (and some that we didn't like). But some of them we prefer over others. So my question is, WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE ZOMBIES MAP? Also, bonus: What is your least favorite map? My favorite is Kino Der Toten. Why? Well, when I first had Black Ops, it was for the Wii. So, the only zombies map was Kino Der Toten. So that was all I played on Zombies mode, and I grew really attached to it. Also, it was my first ever zombies map that I ever played... EVER! Now that I have Black Ops for the PS3, I have all the DLC maps but when I go back to that game to play some classic maps, I usually go to play Kino Der Toten. Bonus: Least favorite map? Idk. So, what about you guys?

This is an awesome guide! I can't wait to use this when Mob of the Dead comes out on PS3. :D

Is Mob of the Dead the name of the new zombies map, or is it the name of the mode for the new zombies map? The reason i asked this is because the first map was not TranZit, but in fact Green Run. And when they made a trailer for the Revolution DLC pack, they showed of Die Rise, but it turned out to be the mode for the map Great Leap Forward. So is Mob of the Dead the name of the next zombies map, or the name of the new mode for the next zombies map? Also, if you do think it is the name of the mode, what do you think the name of the map is going to be? Personally, I hope the name of the map is Mob of the Dead, and not the name of the mode.

Do you have to go prone when you get a random perk bottle power-up drop to keep the persistent perk?

Having trouble doing solo (online)
epic_oreo17 replied to epic_oreo17's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I can always get in a multiplayer lobby and access the Create a Class screen, so I have no idea why I can't play solo. LOL I didn't know about that.It worked...but only on my XBOX.Do you know if the issue "evolved" in the PS3? I have Black Ops 2 on the PS3 also, so many it has something to do with the PS3? -
First off, let me get this off my chest... I suck at zombies solo. But even though I do, sometimes I try to play solo. But on Black Ops 2, when I connect online and try to play solo to get on the leaderboards, I'm just waiting because it says "Creating Lobby". So, I wait... a long time. I don't know why, but I have to wait a long time, and it seems like I can't play solo, unless I play offline. Is this a bug or something? Any suggestions?

I really love the jingle to this perk... although I'm not a big fan of the perk itself.
-
I might as well just call them TranZit and Die Rise. But I must say, the game modes sound way cooler than the actual map names...
-
Welcome to the forums! Make lots of new friends and have fun!!!!!! 8-)
-
But why are Die Rise and TranZit game modes? If anything, they are mostly exactly like Survival (with the exception of buildables) and the names Die Rise and TranZit are better than the actual map names Green Run and Great Leap Forward.
