Am I the only one who noticed something Richtofen is maybe hinting at? "Ah, the Wisp is such a tricky little sausage. I think he may have chosen to return to his point of ORIGIN That's just a fancy way for me to say: 'START AGAIN'" Origins may be the result of our meddling with the towers. The O4 are STARTING AGAIN. So the Wisp is Dempsey, Nikolai or Takeo?

Really? I was expecting a trailer... Sorry for double posting.... I knew the trailer wasen't coming until Tuesday

Wow, I didn't expect this much today. AWESOME.

Letters from the Field - Photos & Videos from Pre-Origins

The spiked helmet is the "Pickelhaube" It was the Prussian and German official military headware from I think the early 1800's to WWI, it was used as a symbol of authority and Prussian military tradition. it was replaced by the more familiar Stalhelm that Germans used do to the unreliableness of the Picklehaube's in WWI Right okay, thanks for clearing that up. So the history of the zombies is that some or most of them were WW1 soldiers who died and were buried, perhaps at the church that was shown in the video. Then the Nazi archeologists dug up a nearby 115 storage/vein and awakened the dead soldiers. I like how there's a bridge between WW1 and WW2 and perhaps the modern day as well. the map has been confirmed to take place in 1918 by Treyarch (before November 11, so sometime between January 1st and November 11th 1918) so this has nothing to do with Nazi's. -

I agree with MMX here, Richtofen is obviously homosexual. through I am not sure where him having a boyfriend in college came from? "I like the Spectre because its barrel is nice and long... just like my college roommate!" Oh, didn't know that quote existed, thanks, I must've missed that quote back in the day or just never paid much attention. But yeah, I agree with MMX, especially with Dempsey's quotes, there is no doubt Richtofen is gay. -

So in-game quotes aren't evidence anymore or considered canon? Got it. On-Topic, I'm really hoping we get a new letter today. In game quotes do count as evidence which is why you should listen to all of them, not use selective hearing on which ones you want to keep and throw others out lol. Again, Shangri-La and the beautiful sunset quote to Nikolai doesn't necessarily mean that he is that way. It could be interpreted as such, but nothing set in stone. He has spoken about wanting kids too. That should tell you something. I guess it is all a matter of opinion. On a side note, Did anyone ever find out who wrote the letter about "the doctor"? That letter was written by Richtofen, at least in my opinion, I think he was referring to Maxis. -

It makes more sense on that day then Monday, but... I am not going to complain if we get it on Monday -
I had someone tell me last night while playing Buried that you could unlock Origins early by checking you're kills 3 times, playing a game of Nuketown that ends exactly on Round 15, then start a game of Die Rise and get the DSR on you're first try on the box. and the map would unlock.

See that there? He sexuality doesn't pertain to the story anyways, so who really cares. Just hoping for another letter also. Or better yet, the intro like Misty said This, weather Richtofen is a homosexual or not does not pertain to the story, let's kill Zombies instead, or dream about it at least. I seriously am getting impatient for this map, haven't been this excited since Moon. -

Technically he could be joking, he is pretty insane and could probably just be doing it to piss Dempsey off. Grabbing Dempsey's Mustang and Sally is not being gay? -
The 1996 sign in Die Rise.

There is no possible way Moon can take place in 2025, Nuketown debunks this as Nuketown has to take place in the 1960's, due to the fact above ground Nuclear Testing was banned after the 1960's, and Tranzit takes place shortly after Nuketown. Why send in the CIA and CDC to scout a planned nuclear test sight? I'd just send in the CDC if anything... But the CIA makes it look more like this nuclear disaster was not planned and is mear coincidence that this reaction happened in nuke town... You do bring up a good point, but I think that was just for gameplay purposes. -

Its 2025, nuclear testing could be in unbanned, they might not have been testing nukes, they may have just not been listening to the ban. Russia had missiles that could destroy earth on moon, we couldn't test above ground missiles? I refuse to believe that the maps take place in 2025... and most of all, Tranzit has to take place right after Moon because Richtofen always mentions at the beginning of the game about "just getting used to the Aether" -

Obviously they were still captured in the 1940's, but they weren't captured randomly like we originally thought, but they were chosen personally by Richtofen for his Grand Scheme, and they had there memories wiped in the 1940's. obviously, and 935 wasen't even founded in WWI. but the problem is with you're idea, the map has to take place before the end of World War I, and Origins has to take place shortly after the initial batch of letters. -

I completely discount the SDC soldiers as proof it takes place post 1960, as they just reused models already in the game for the Zombies, that is my belief. -

ORIGINS linked to K.D.T. *Picture Evidence
TheRealMistyBriarton replied to captinslog's topic in Origins
There's mods for that. True, but it just seems off. Texture issues and whatnot. Anyway, I'm not too sure about this. Maybe the connection is just because we're looking at their faces behind glass? Other than that, I don't see much of a resemblance. Yeah, but it could also be just bad picture quality or a faulty weapon file, idk. -
