Well technically it's really not a melee weapon, so I guess it falls in line with an upgrade. I mean, it was just a glowing ball coming out of the box, and then your character grabs it and strikes a pose and stuff, kinda like martial artists... Nice Bruce Lee reference though. Now if only Treyarch could just please do something nice for us, like making a manual with names for stuffs like this, so people don't have to waste time coming up with names like Leroy or Thunderfist

[Assumption] Broken Arrow is a modern day Group 935.
RdJokr replied to GameChanger's topic in General Zombies Discussion
I don't think Russman was an actual field operative. Some of his quotes refer to how he misses weapons of the old days, like double barreled shotguns and such. He sounds more like those old dudes who haven't touched a gun in ages, and just now are starting to see guns of the new generation. I believe that Russ might have been a test subject similar to Dempsey, Takeo and Nikolai. A test subject for a super soldier program. But I don't see how you can tie Marlton into this. Do we know if he's affiliated with Broken Arrow in any way? He's more or less affiliated with the CIA and CDC, since he was with them at Nuketown. -
One time, I was playing some music on my iPod. Then 115 came on. I checked the clock. It was 9:35
-
For the first time, we see Nikolai with hair. GODDAMN THAT IS AWESOME.

This is exactly why COD's annual release schedule is shit. 4 DLC packs aren't enough to satisfy Zombies players anymore. Why can't they just give each game a 2-year run, and put in like 6-8 DLC packs instead? I'll take that over 1 game + 4 DLC packs/year
-
A question: if you die/go down after having unlocked more perk slots, do you keep the slots once you respawn/are revived?
-
Maybe because he's already busy working in the basement and can't be bothered to go upstairs and get the kids himself? Or maybe Treyarch's too lazy to make a proper character model for Maxis.
-
OR... Samantha was never really Maxis' legitimate daughter.

The Ultimate Zombies Soundtrack Collection
RdJokr replied to Slade's topic in General Zombies Discussion
Nice job compiling all this I wonder if someone could make a custom album cover for "Black Ops II Zombies Soundtrack"... An all-in-one cover would be nice for my iTunes. -
She was holding an action figure, most likely Dempsey. I mean, why would she use a camera to knock over the zombie figures? Doesn't make sense.
-
Still trying to find whether if the Misty action figure is in here... Though there are some figures in the cutscene that are too far away to be seen. I could've sworn I saw Finn in there...

By that logic, then Treyarch can't change what 115 looks like (Shi no Numa meteor in the cinematic intro). Actually they can - Treyarch write the story so they can do whatever they want and change whatever they want, and it simply becomes "canon". We are readers of the story (or players to be more accurate) so anything WE change simply becomes "wrong" if we move away from what Treyarch has told us has happened. Technically, Treyarch wrote the story based on fans' ideas. Samantha wouldn't even exist if someone didn't point out the "Sam" grunt in Verruckt. So basically, the story of Zombies is written both by Treyarch's Zombies team, and the community.
-
That's kinda the thing, really. I think Treyarch only wanted to pay homage to the first Black Ops by putting in items of previous maps as easter eggs. But sadly, they didn't think it through, since everything in the cutscene is over-analyzed by the community. The whole "everything's a game" just doesn't make sense. Origins itself being a game is likely true, but the old maps just can't be. There's also the fact that our characters' personalities are waaaaaaaaay too vulgar for those kids to come up with, especially guys like Dempsey and Richtofen. One is an angry Marine who swears constantly, and one is a sick psychopath who enjoys being bathed in zombie blood. If Sam and Eddie do come up with that, then they are some really sick kids.
-
But then, why would Eddie say that Samantha doesn't know how to play properly? If they had played before, then Samantha would know properly after about 5-7 maps. I believe Treyarch threw in the toys there as a nod to the previous maps. But I could be wrong
-
Ya gonna have to disagree here, the very fact that the room had previous map items scattered around indicates that these maps could be imagined as well, sorry there's just no denying that, your theory can't hold here. Now if you were talking about time travel, mind warping, or even her being a very God at this point you could imply that she used these set pieces to breath life into them, but according to your theory at this point she's just a normal girl. The theory breaks down here my friend XD Though this seems solidly convincing, we don't actually know whether that's fact, or Treyarch just decided to throw them in as a nod to all the past maps. An example of throwing things in was in Modern Warfare 3 campaign, when a picture of Lev Kravchenko showed up in a cutscene, when in reality it was supposed to be a picture of a dude named Lev who was in Modern Warfare 2. The only way we'll know the truth is when Treyarch's next COD comes out

Hopefully with COD going into next gen, it means larger scale zombies maps. By that I mean TranZit-size maps without limitations like fogs and all that. Also, make intro cutscenes for every map, that can give us insights on things. Buried did a good job explaining how the N4 got together (though it raises even more questions on Russman's background). It also lacks audio logs, which could've been used to explain even more things.

This is the poster I was talking about. It's the one you gotta throw the Hell's Retriever at: Looking from a far distance, I can see why you mistook the dude in the poster for a CIA agent. How about that, good find dude, so ya no references to CotD or Five it seems, maybe because they're on the first game and its tied up in some sort of rights battle? These things happen ya know lol. Could be... God, how I wish for a 5th map pack to happen so all this shit can get answered quick, rather than waiting another year till Ghosts finishes its run
-
Treyarch literally blew everyone's mind off with this ending... But I just have this gut feeling that it's not over yet... The only thing that I wish could've been changed is that if the N4 had intro cinematics like MotD and Origins... Surely beats the whole comic-themed slideshow cutscenes. Also, the fact that TranZit lacks an intro is also irritating.
-
Simple easter egg, nothing more.

So if my name was Eddie and I prefer blue eyed zombies, am I Richtofen too? Come on, you need more solid proof than a common name and personal taste. I posted this on Fatedtitans post origins Intro - Dr Edward Richtofen (and Dr ludvig Maxis) Origins outro - Edward (Refered to by Samantha) Der Riese - Eddy is a Liar - Teddy is a Liar. Edward (Refered to by Maxis in the Radio) Ed wants your Head! (Richtofen quote) Moon - Uncle Edward (Samantha quote) Eddie im going to kill you (Samantha's quote while in Richtofens body) Next time, Uncle Edward will give you stronger legs! Edward! Give them stronger legs! (Samantha's quote) "Drink it Eddy! You liar! (Samantha qoute) These are just a few mentions of Edward, eddy, Edward and all directed at Richtofen. There has been no other mention either in blops terminal files nor in all the maps to indicate there is an Eddie that is not Edward Richtofen And in W@W i was one of the few who argued against Edward/Eddie being Richtofen Again, there is no solid proof of that. Eddie is a common nickname for Edward. There are no other indications, other than that they both prefer blue eyed zombies. And we all know, blue eyes represents superiority to the Nazis, so it makes sense that Eddie shares the same thought, since he is German (there's the American accent, but that's a small error on Treyarch's part). As far as we know, Eddie only represents Richtofen when playing with Samantha. But he is NOT the actual Richtofen. Not until someone finds a clear piece of evidence somewhere stating that this boy's full name is Edward Richtofen. So for now, Eddie is just Eddie.

OK, maybe the room theme can't be used in this argument. But then again, we can't really argue about toys like that not existing in the 40s right? Not when they have 1,000-foot giant robots and quadrotors controlled by a human brain. Assuming that Origins did happen, then technology is more advanced in Zombies universe than you think. Toys like these could come earlier than you think. But now I wanna ask: where is this CotD poster you're talking about? Because the clearest poster I can see in the cutscene is the green one, and that is from Mob of the Dead.

There's no proof that Treyarch took that idea from you... They could've taken it from some other dude who came up with the same idea

If it's post 2025, then why the hell are they still using gramophones? Samantha has one in her room, right next to the window and teddy bear. That is irrelevant, it's like saying I can't have an old record player in my room because its not with the times, just because time moves on doesnt mean the person has to have current time possession. @IRurg, I DEFINITELY SEE YOUR POINT HERE, but if I may... Treyarch has already made this games story way too complicated compared to even lost in my opinion, We neared the end of Bo2 with even more questions than an end of a season of lost lol, *love the shows ending btw* but to me there was too many little EE and its all in a disarray and members of the community are always frantically trying to connect it to real world things and treyarch never confirms any of it, whereas lost, these things are slowly confirmed to be fact, but in 5 years what has treyarch confirmed? To me this was only ever meant to be tons of little EE with a small underlying story with a plot twist for good measure. If it was just one item, it wouldn't be a problem. But then there's also the old radio. And the MP40 wall chalk. Why the MP40, and not a gun from 2025? The scenery is more likely to take place within WW2 than post 2025.
