That is debatable. But saying real life history was wrong here and there wouldn't be a very good reason. That basically gives Treyarch an excuse to fuck up the timeline however they want.
-
Might as well explain why there were zombies in WW1, or why there was a thing called Element 115 that can reanimate dead people... As far as guns go, it has never been very consistent. Even Maxis is claiming credit for creating the Mauser, which looks just like the real-life Mauser C96, which was produced in 1896. Plus we're getting 2025 weapons from the Mystery Box anyway, so it's not like we can complain much about anachronistic weapons.

Oh, you mean the dark panel that's covered by the page? Daaaaaaaaamn, never noticed that one...

The mysterious "guy" is most likely a random zombie. Yeah, I don't see why people would look so far into this, it was always just a freakin zombie. The one thing I don't get is this "silhouette" people are talking about. Like, where is it on the Die Rise loading screen?

I understand this however looking at the trailer the O4 seem to recognize each other and if this was the first time meeting then they wouldn't have recognized each other. Look either way it was an idea. There's no actual indication of that. Looking from Dempsey's viewpoint, it's really simple: he came for the Germans. And he knows there are gonna be Russians and Japaneses around. So seeing Nikolai and Takeo aren't too surprising for him. He's after the main goal. But at this point, it's all just wild guessing, since they didn't say one word during that intro.

Maybe I'm not looking clearly enough, but where is this silhouette you guys are talking about in the Die Rise loading screen?

please explain why the zombies have blue eyes if Richthofen

No one knows. Wait until next week when the DLC is out on X360. Eventually, you'll find out. -
To quote Samantha from the intro: "My name's Samantha. I'm going to tell you how all this really began." Now correct me if I'm wrong, but if this is an alternate reality, why even bother saying this is how it "REALLY BEGAN"? Keep in mind that they're saying alternate reality because back then there wasn't such a thing as Dieselpunk.

New Map Pack and The Future of Zombies
RdJokr replied to xShadyAssassinx's topic in General Zombies Discussion
As usual, it will solve some unanswered stuffs, while adding in an even bigger shitload of mysteries. I expect that Origins will change everything we know about zombies. As for the future, I think they could do intertwining stories, one that is set with Samantha and the O3, while the other is with the N4. I don't care what the others say, they won't die that easily. -
Again, that would ruin the concept of what we call "a prequel" here.

Or maybe she's the reincarnation of Lucifer, and she's going to raise hell  Actually I'm not doubting that, now, or at least some variant of it. Perhaps maxis wanted to keep her as a kid for that very reason, because she has some abilities. Maybe Maxis truly was evil and going down the wrong path as Richtofen was saying in his letter. Perhaps... I knew something wasn't right when Maxis asked Samantha to "kill them all". Like, how do you even ask a kid to do something like that? Even if she is stuck in the MPD and is capable of controlling the zombies. Maxis definitely knows more about Samantha than we do. Origins is definitely going to change everything we know about Zombies.
-
It's actually fairly simple when you get down to it. This map is called Origins, correct? Well lets add another origin: Samantha. The achievement kinda implies that she isn't her future self (the lost part). There's a whole crap ton of possibilities. Perhaps she isn't really Maxis's kid for one, given that he's a old fart. Maybe she used anti aging cream to stay young for 27 years, I don't know. Or maybe she's the reincarnation of Lucifer, and she's going to raise hell
-
Once again Treyarch continues to fuck our brains out with these achievements
-
Little lost girl - Okay, this one is definitely the most interesting. And just a few days ago, I was going with a theory that Samantha might be a child *Takeo voice* of the devil. Not a gold digger - So now you can dig guns out of the ground? And share it? Cool. All your base - "Generators" in plural doesn't sound too good to me... Kung fu grip- At least now we have an official name for the Big Daddy zombie. Panzer Soldat sounds cool as fuck. Playing with power - HOLY CRAP. Now we're all gonna be Gandalf. I'm on a tank! - Would be better if it was named "Tank on a Tank" Saving the day... all day - The normal way, Zombie Blood, what else? Might be related to the new perk? Master of Disguise - We use Zombie Blood to revive others? Shiiiiit, doesn't that mean infecting ourselves with 115? Overachiever - Self-explanatory. Master Wizard - I'm guessing multiple PaP'ed staves. No achievements related to the giant robot(s)? Pity.
-
That's not what he's trying to say; he's saying that Dempsey mentioned the Battle of Bellau Wood on April 14, when in reality it started on June 1.
-
Well that's surprising. But nothing too serious. They could just remove the image, fix the date, and everything will be good.
-
I could be wrong, but let's think about this: the only picture we have of Maxis is a black-and-white one. What if it were colored? What if Maxis' hair and beard is actually not white, but of a different bright color? Maybe he's not that old, maybe he just doesn't shave too often. Granted, he still looks older than Richtofen, but it could slide. If Richtofen were around 20-30 in Origins, I'd say Maxis'd be around 30-40. It would still make sense for him to have a child in the late 1930s. As for Samantha, well that's a whole other story. But hey, according to Maxis himself, she is traveling to Agartha at the moment. Maybe this is one of those things she managed to uncover while heading there. Maybe now she would see just how much of an asshole her dad was  Or after all this time, we find out Samantha is a child of the devil who Maxis adopted. And she never ages
-
Maybe we're just jumping to conclusion. Maybe Maxis is not that old. He's just too lazy to shave his damn beard Without it, he's just a bald dude at his 40's.
-
I doubt it. Even though Treyarch like raising questions, that would be so out there it's ridiculous The screenshot released earlier kinda showed it pretty obvious. Yes, it's the New Model Army. Which is nice, since it is WAY better than the Python. And that was Samantha's demonic voice. You know, the voice she uses when controlling zombies and such. Now the question is, how would she know about all this?
-
I noticed that, too. Looks like he's about 60 unless that's later on in life. You'd have to wonder... Who would marry Maxis and have a child with him later, considering he is THAT old? Unless there's a plot twist: element 115 has a hidden ability to make people younger
-
The MotD intro didn't exactly show Brutus either. Well, it showed him when he was Zombie Ferguson anyway. Really excited for this map now. But how does Samantha even know of the story of this map to even "tell" us anyway? Does gaining access to Agartha really give you that much knowledge?
-
Now why is it that Maxis looks WAAAAAAAAAAY FUCKING OLD? Like, he must be 10 years older than Richtofen.
-
IT'S HERE!!!!! DFeB5Jx7G38 They spelled Nikolai's name wrong though...
