  1. I never asked for complexity. I love the WaW maps, kino, and others that made playing the game enjoyable and a long lasting games. The more intricate the map is, the more you have to pay attention to the map as a whole as apposed to what is happening right in front of you. Now, in all fairness, I dont really do EE. It can become time consuming AND... Im not very good. I love the song EE because its rather simple to find once you know what to look for. Its interesting to see how its done, but my friends and I dont really have the yearn for doing side things. Id be fine with a medium-sized map, with a few choke points, but other then that a really open map. I play Kino and WaW the most, because they fit my zombies style. Town from TranZit kinda plays into that as well. This does not mean I don't enjoy the more in-depth maps, such as Ascension or Moon, or even the new one arriving late August, but I don't think I'd play it as much because I love, as someone said, the "roots" of the game.
  2. Honestly, I want that. I have posted something about that a while ago, but it didn't get much talk.
  3. Will there be one? Or will origins be the end? I do not believe so, mainly because the way that a twitter post was worded "This is the most intricate zombies map to date" The part where it says to date is what leaves me to believe this is not the end. Besides, we do not know what happens to N4. But with the way the LFTF were worded, this could be the end. Changing the course of history will alter the zombies in the present. Or maybe eradicate the whole story all together. What are your thoughts? what do you think or want to happen? RR Out
  4. A few things i wish to say: I dont find the sniper nerf overly terrible. It could be because I play local, but the DSR and Ballista dont have a problem destroying who i play with one to two hits. DLC5 could be just like Rezzurection, where those who pre-ordered and/or have a season pass would get it either free or with a discount. I don't feel like the maps on BO 2 are bad, I just happen to prefer BO 1. #2's maps feel a tad bit rushed. They should have given themselves more time to work out the minor things that they could have made maps better. Treyarch doesn't owe anyone anything. The person that had said Treyarch has given us a bunch, i agree with. Mulekick (community idea), new perks, interesting WW, attachments from the PaP (community idea) and the all around fact that zombies is still a thing. After WaW, even with all of its hype, could have been dropped at that and then re-released in a much later game to "dust off the archives"/ Last: Those who are raging that MP gets more attention then zombies, you are correct. Someone on here posted that its a 5-10 minute game when you play a match, whereas those who play zombies can get an hour or more playing one game. This is an equal trade because it takes 6 or more games to get the minimal amount of gametime of one zombies games. This is what I had to say, and I hope some of it will sink in to some people. RR out
  5. I feel like this will not be the end, but, as it will be sometime before we see a zombies map again, they will look at what they have done and go, "What went wrong? What went right? What needs to be done?" And also to the gentleman/lady that said pre-ordered people would be pissed if there is a DLC 5, did they not get Moon and the songs for free? back in Rezzurection, when they were supposed to be the only ones that got the WaW maps? I have this feeling if there will be a DLC5 Those who preordered and/or have a season pass will get the pack discounted.
  6. Im sure most if not all of you have seen the trailer for Origins, which is presumed to be the name of the newest map coming either in late august or early September. It stands to reason with the years from the "Letters from the Field" and the images shown, that this map will take place in the WW1 era. A post I have read suggests that we will use machinery, weapons, and more from the era. Now, maybe I am looking way to deep into the trailer, but I have a few questions that I would like answered: When it shows the image of Takeo's katana, there is a box with a switch on the top. What does it do? What are your thoughts as to the purpose of this device? There is a part where someone has an object looking like a pistol in a holster. There is a problem with this, for if you look at it, there is no possible way that this could a normal gun. Perhaps this is part of an EE or wonder weapon? The third has to deal with some secondary grenades that someone is holding. Noticing that there are 4 gold stripes on the side of the canister, there is no way that those can be usual flashbangs or other secondary explosives. What do you think they could be? And last but not least: In the scene right before you see the robot step on the person you are following, he turns a corner, and if you look at the wall to the right, you will notice... he is being shot at. There is shrapnel and a flash from the bullet hitting. So, why do you think this person is being shot at? Have the original zombies become more intelligent? Is this a soldier behind enemy lines? MY thoughts as I have dug into the Origins trailer. I think enough people have seen that the two blood vials have the same serial number as two of the characters in MOTD. So, what do you think of these? Or am I just looking way to deep into this?
  7. "The most impressive zombies map TO DATE" This statement could very well mean that up until this point it is the most impressive, and there is still more yet to come. I do not believe zombies is ending, but at the same time we might find ourselves dealing with a set of new characters in the next treyarch game. Iconic, amazing characters, unlike the N4. They were decent, but did not fit the lifestyle and desire that those of the zombies community love.
  8. IMHO The zombie head and the rifle, along with the backround, probably just states what era we are in. The zepplin in the background could be the way that the crew has to take down the giant
  9. going to the vials: What if Alcatraz was turned into a zombie testing facility, and the character holding the vials was supposed to get their blood to test to see if they were perfectly healthy? Idk, an offset from what most people have been thinkin on this thread. Also a few questions about the gear that the characters have (Unfortunately I cant take pictures of the screen): What is the switch that the man with the sword has? (not assuming its Takeo, because that gets my hopes up) Another character has what appears to be a gun, but with the gear and handles and other details, this cannot be a normal gun, so could this be a new piece of equipment? Or perhaps part of the new WW? The character with what appears to be a bowie knife is shown to have what look like flash bangs or other secondary explosives from the era, but they dont look like the usual grenades, what would these be, whether just for show OR a new grenade? The shot right before the chandelier on kino, there is a man holding a shotgun, it looks like the trench gun, does this mean WaW or older weapons? Last but not least: Does anyone notice that whomever's first person POV we follow at the end of the trailer before the robot, is getting shot at? There are flashes along the right wall as he turns the corner, as if he is running away from something/someone. What are your thoughts? PS: (I know this doesnt belong here) Did anyone have a SQL server problem when trying to get to the sight earlier? It was hrs before I could log in to see what everyone said about the trailer.
  10. This is what I get. I cannot make those last two fit in any way. The left one is the Last and the right one is the third. Does anyone see anything besides a bunch of circles?
  11. The one on the left is the 7th and the one on the right is the third. I managed to get 5 to fit, does anyone see anything?
  12. First of all, i laugh at the two who posted ahead of me. Second of all, Do you believe that mayhaps the pieces over lap? as if they were all once of the same thing, but each were broken and these what were salvaged at the spot they found when 115 was discovered? If in fact that they could be overlapped, I have found that you get three circles. Could this be an image of the locations of the rift? Same as the letters update, ill post more when i am able to work on it harder.
  13. my apologies for the double post, BUT im getting a lot of circles and what not. Perhaps these some how relate to the rift spots? Ill update when I have spots for all 7 pieces
  14. im not the greatest editor, but ill see what i can piece together
  15. Survivor... is just a single map you play on. Just like any other zombies map. My thought process says the map could have much more detail and quality, and many more weapons, perks, and secret things to keep a player interested. Nuketown is a prime example of this: simple, open, zombie slaying action. I want more maps like this.
  16. you know, all of the maps you see on CoD are complex. "shot this, run over here, use this trap, throw a fireball, and gather the mushroom to complete the first part of the easter egg" Why can we not have a map thats simple? 4 large rooms, each with a perk or two, with wall weapons scattered along the wall, and 2 teddies in each room (have to hit only three in a certain order for a song to work). after unlocking all four rooms, with different cover areas, there will be a door on the inside of each room that will take you to the PaP. This way you have choke points, RT halls, and much more you can do. What is so wrong with that? Also, personally I want one HUGE map with most of the WW on it. It would be interesting to see how people could work together with things like the Vr11 and the Scavenger or the Winter's houl and the Thundergun.
  17. Apologize for the double post. If I could choose which multiplayer maps from BO 1 that became zombies they would be: Cracked Firing range Hanoi Jungle These are wide enough, and have enough places to put thing that would make the game interesting. Plus, i feel Nuketown Z went over pretty well, so FR would be a good sort of CQ zombies.
  18. Because dear Watson, you think it's a massive game now, it could be hellish to make all of that. We'd need a sub-disk for the sub-disk that is unknown to happen. Of course, with the switch to the Blu-ray, They could take some of the maps that could be revamped either way to become a zombie or MP map. I think it'd be a good idea, and if I had the talent and know how to create my own game similar to CoDZ, I would. BUT since this idea is already taken to the extent that this is a basic trademark, with the box, Wall weapons, perks, etc., this game is so specific to create one like it would be plagerism and copyright infringment.
  19. When you say Multiplayer maps, do you mean like, playing TD on Assencion? or maybe darkening the currently used once. In my own opinion, playing on a destroyed Firing range would be sweet! That or Cracked, because it is already semi destroyed.
  20. If it were to keep expanding at the rate it is, both in content and popularity, it will most likely be a separate disk. But, if they were to do such a thing, why do they not just add all of the maps together on one disk? WaW: 4 BO1: 7 (including DOA) BO2: 8-9 (including individual parts of Green Run AND the possibility of a new map on the last DLC) So, that about 20, and they'd have to add 4-5 and a "new" version of DOA for new content, then people could be content though, yes?
  21. IW Camp: Decent, but felt short in the last 2: B- Multi: Better, but it became repetative after 3 games: C- Side: This is a two sider, i gotta hand it to survival, i do like, but missions seem either overused or underexamined: B+, C- 3Arc Camp: Many twists and turns, but can get side tracked: B+ Multi: Better then MW3, but is dominated by game time alone: A- Side: Amazing, there are twists, and different ways to complete your mission: A+x3 Wording it the way you have, this is how i feel
  22. I shall definitely read it sometime. I was talking about gross income increase. No I do not know the expenses of zombies, but you can do research on the average cost of creating a game dating back to early 1990's compared to now, and how they increase. There will be corners cut, such as hiring "unknown" voice actors, "new" artists with the vision of a zombies game, etc. Of course development will be increased, and the jobs of the artists are not much different when you look at it. DLCs are only an option, if you can release over 6 maps at a time, you are then eliminating some of the necessity for DLCs, and you are shrinking down the stretched amount of time needed to create. There are ways around it, you just have to be willing to try something new.
  23. In the eyes of the community, I feel like it would be. As I said, there are people that will buy Treyarch's games soley for the zombies. If they put forth a little more time with a larger group of people to design maps and weapons and story lines and what have you (sorry for the run on, used for a point), then keep or even update the quality for zombies, it would be very much worth it to them. I say this because zombies is... about 1/3 of the games worth of the 60. So I figure the campaign, multiplayer, and maybe something in a survival mode on the real disk for 40-50, then the zombies disk would be 30. That alone is a profit of 10-20 dollars. multiply that by how many people bought black ops 2, and you get anywhere between 110,000,000 and 220,000,000 dollars. (using a researched number on first week sales of BO2)
  24. Hey all, its your friendly neighborhood Rift Runner, with a question I assume that some of you may have had: What if zombies became its own CD? The reason I believe that this should happen is because a good number of people in my local community will purchase Treyarch's games for zombies alone, which is a positive and a negative. Positive, because that means Activision and Treyarch are getting more money for a single aspect of the game. Negative, because that means that there are wasted parts of the CD that hardly become used, and the people have to pay more for that one aspect. Another reason I believe this is a grand idea, is because how quickly it exploded. When zombies first came out on WaW, do you think that they truly believed that it would explode at such a fast rate? To a rate, in fact, that made them expand to need its own group of developers? A way to help them, both with story and in map development, would be to expand this group, making zombies their full purpose for a game. I read somewhere that someone would not purchase Treyarch Zombies itself for a full 60 dollars. These same people said that they would only pay 20, and I do believe that is not enough money for this. 30 seems reasonable, and it shall be explained later. Another negative I had read about had said that it would burn out the producers of the zombies, creating quickly thought of things like "Hopper" (beer reference), which would a perk that would make you jump higher, but make you sway left or right as you go upwards. Basically stating that there will be ideas that will be rushed and not thought through before releasing. There is a fix for this as well. As i chatted with my amigos about this, they said that a good portion of a "story" would have to be developed, and scattered through out several maps. 10 became the number we settled on, even though that seems a bit high. But, that also gives the creators a good amount to work with in order to create a deeper story, possibly more characters, etc. The reason we settled on 30 dollars for a "self serve" zombies game, is because there are more possibilities with this. First of all, release time would be set 6 months apart from the multiplayer game. "BO1, then the zombies maps, BO2, zombies, etc" This would roughly give the much enlarged team of zombie creators ample time to create new perks, set a time frame, story line, and more. There is always the possibilities for DLCs, which could have a flash back moment from a set in the story, or an "alternative" to where the story takes place. Also, the return of Dead Ops will happen. Giving you not only your FPS zombies, but your overhead TPS as well. Plus, there are many people on forum community that do miss zombies. What do you all think? Should this happen? Does this seem like a likely idea to come in our lifetime? And what other "New" ideas do you think should happen? Basic Loadouts maybe? (Primary, secondary, and maybe a grenade?) Maybe a slot machine gun release, which would be much like the Mystery Box, but would have less useful weapons, could stay in place, and cost less? What are your thoughts?
  25. Are you the person that thought of the electric sword? I think it'd be great, but... 1 hit x infinity is not something that would be practical. There is no sense in having a one hit kill for every zombie as you play, especially when playing in multiplayer. Dividing the zombies attention between two people, then giving them a "God Weapon" would just make it so the game was almost pointless to play. Combined with Jug and QR the person(s) wielding this weapon could be near invinicible. What I do think of a Wonder Melee is that there should be much more it can do, much like you said. My theory for it would be to have it 1 hit for 6-13 rounds, and be able to hit 3-5 zombies per melee. But a clincher for it would be, once you hit that round after the 1 hits, the sword, which i think WunderSabre would be a cool name for, would leave a shock in the afflicted zombie, and shot a zombie that comes with in a very small window of area, thus taking down its health and the others around it. This would be an amazing thing to have for the hordes, because even though the wielder of the weapon may die, the shock is slowly knocking them down, thus helping your teammates (if any) to take them down quicker to revive you.
