Well, I've now spoken to 2 German's and 4 Austrians and I'm awaiting an email back from her husband but all of them are pretty certain it means Dragon. Think about it logically, the rocket is a weapon of destruction and as it is a rocket is has fire from the bottom to propel it forward, a kite flies in the air and is harmless a dragon is animal of destruction.

I don't dispute bud, German is not my native language but I find it strange that native speaking Germans/Austrians refer to both options but within the context of and surroundings being a castle, they are pretty certain that Treyarch are intending to say The Iron Dragon rather than The Iron Kite.
-
Also looking into Ritter Rost, he is a robot much like our friend "The Giant" - whether this was part of the research or not I don't know but it is uncanny.
-
I was also sent the following link about Iron Dragon from a childrens book "Ritter Rost" https://www.google.at/search?q=drache+kind+prinzessin+eisen&biw=991&bih=917&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj1sfqp6uLJAhVBURoKHb3LB4oQ_AUIBigB#tbm=isch&q=ritter+rost&imgrc=u96gBWYN8eaNMM%3A

Speaklng with my boss who is native Bavarian and stems from Bad Riechenhall - Der Eisendrachen & Der Eisendrache translates to The Iron Dragon - but both could also mean kite.I have spoken with colleagues in Salzburg, Vienna and Ulbelbach and they all say it could be either but if it associated with a castle it is most definitely referring to a dragon, you have to take it within the context that it is being used and with it being associated to castle, they say that with high probability it refers to dragon and not kite.

Can anyone decipher this? (Possible spoilers)

They had a listen at what was going on but they couldn't spend too much time on it and they couldn't clean it up much more than what was being heard. -
I'm now 100% certain it is Dragon after having a good half hour chat with my boss who has visited the castle several times. He also know's his stuff about 2nd World War and German tech during that period. The Dragon V2 was a spacecraft, now get properly researching on that ;)

People are forgetting, that a dragon also flies in the air - trust me, the references to Dragon in Salzburg are correct. My boss is from Bad Reichenhall in Bavaria just outside Salzburg on the German/Austrian border and it is Dragon.

Kite translates from English to German as Drachen - Der Eisendrachen translates as "The Iron Dragon" - google iron dragon salzburg and you will see all the relevant dragon references.

Treyarch screws solo players again
Hells Warrrior replied to TheBiggerMuff's topic in Shadows of Evil
It's actually a lot easier than you think, I'm one of these players that will join a public lobby. Playing with randoms is frustrating as hell but it can also be very enjoyable, I have come across a couple of randoms that are really good players and I have added them to my friends list (most need to be hit several times with a bus and reversed over for good measure). However, a MIC is not essential, if you come across a decent player, you can usually tell within the first 10 rounds, that they know what they are doing and you can indicate to those players by kniving things. For instance, on the giant the other night, 3 decent players, I started the fly trap EE, two did part of it and I got the last teddy at power.I got monkeys, and then indicated to them by shooting once at feeting and moving towards the teleporters and shooting into the teleporter, they understood what was happening and we got the extra perk. A MIC is not essential. a decent player is. -
I'm surprised this doesn't have more activity, excellent work @Schrödinger

@steviewonder87 OK, producer friends reckon it's similar to Sgt Pepper in that you play in backwards but that it's just some random speech. They don't get the game ;) Anyway, they do say loads of reverb and echo has been used. -
Thanks and welcome to the site, may I suggest the following for future ;)
