Basically, yeah. It's just a basic poll at the end of the day. The nominations are not about nominating yourself (not saying you specifically, here just in general), which to me smells of being self centred and elitist if someone did. UoTM has and should always be about recognition to the contribution of the enjoyment of others. What I mean by that is obviously topics and posts but also status update contributions, helping others. UoTM is not something you should want UoTM should be and is something you are awarded, don't strive to achieve UoTM as you'll rarely receive it. As others can tell you are trying hard to get nominated and will likely not nominate or vote for that person. If someone deserves UoTM, it will not or should not go unnoticed,

The results are in, the counts have been validated by independent experts and @Nightmare Voyager has been declared UoTM for February 2015, congratulations.

At a minimum we are look at about 6 weeks, I'm hopeful that the new software will be released in the next 4 weeks, that gives us 2 weeks to get everything finalised. This would be a blank fresh install with no 3rd party apps, if we decide to wait for the 3rd party apps, it could be a few more weeks after that. We need to weigh up what we will have, what we need, what we can do without at launch.

I don't mean to be an auld fuddy duddy (an old fart) but is their any need for all the font colours? Keeping text in plain format and paragraphs makes things easier to read and follow, it is also beneficial for those with poor eye sight that may be reading the forums. Formatting is absolutely fine but only when it's needed. Doesn't this read a lot better?

Just thought I would share a wee bit more detail / style with you for the forum. Something new for everyone, is what is known as blocks or Grid View. This would be currently be chosen by selecting a theme (List View or Grid View) - although we are contemplating making changes so that this is user controlled for the account settings rather than theme based. We are currently running Beta 6 of the software, which was just released on Wednesday. We are going to be working flat out now to get the site ready and creating all the relevant pages and formatting over the next couple of weeks and we may open it up for preview. One of the main things, is background processes don't are automatic but these are generated by traffic visiting the site or by running a cron job (which basically runs the process when we tell it to run). To be honest, it will be quite a familiar style, something you currently see but refreshed / updated and very modern. We'll give more updates in due course.

Oh another pet peeve, again as @Lenne said, this can apply to any map - smashing the box for the 1st 10 rounds.

He is referring to this colour I presume (set for guests and robots) - this colour is set for donors. Both these colour options are not available as standard (the donors colour is only available if you make a donation towards server costs).

This, you don't need to post a new thread every time you've written something new; updating the previous one will do just fine. It gets even more annoying knowing this unnecessary thread spamming essentially renders the Follow This Thread function useless. Why even bother following a thread when the poster is just going to ditch it and make another one 2 days later. That shouldn't be happening. Point me in the direction and I'll have them merged accordingly.

@Caddyman It's not a global per group setting unfortunately in the new software, I've fed it back to them last week.

Although I understand where you are coming from. a topic can have zero replies but the OP is keeping the topic alive with his or her replies to the topic itself. Doesn't mean it needs to die, it just means that in it's current form no one has anything additional to add to it. It will fade away eventually but it's a good point of reference for the OP and others.
