I'm not raining on yer parade lol, just seen it mentioned that people are stuck with because of the 1 name change a month limit, so it's increased to 2, just in case folk want to chane it back. I'm no stooge, but if it's not done by Monday lol

All good and well for Halloween but not for a whole month, so I have enabled 2 name changes a month to allow you to change them back if you so wish (no abusing it, purely to allow you to change name back without asking staff to do it for you).

Only $18 short for covering server costs for the month, dig deep if you can folk, we would appreciate it. I've just donated $24 but I've also just renewed the forum software suite for another 6 months at $65, we don't have to but it allows us to keep upto date and get technical support etc if needed.

It's been set so that it deducts the tax that is taken on each donation. so that the actual donation figure shows the actual amount we have received (rather than the actual donation, which isn't what we receive). It can be changed to show the full donation but will show the goal as being achieved when it hasn't actually been achieved.

If you can spare a couple of quid, dollars, yen, euros - we would appreciate a little bit of help for October.

I wouldn't be too concerned with Doxing, sure it's a pain in the rear end but at the same time, we are very security conscious here, as well as being on top of any security issues (vulnerabilities) - if identified, a patch is released straight away and we implement the patch straight away. No need to be so concerned with this, information wise you'll have more details on Facebook and Twitter than here. All we ask for is a username, display name, email address for verification purposes and the occasional email - IP information is never displayed.

It's also to remind folk that Advanced Warfare is due out in the next few weeks and then shortly after that, news about the next Treyarch release will coming out. So what's happened since then and what are we currently doing? Well, since our last news letter, Covert Gunman has returned to the forums after 2 years of being away, without any computer access and without having played Black Ops 2. We have also welcomed 2 new members of Staff "Slade" and "Boom" - both have been very active members before joing the staff team - so please login and give them all a big hello. So CoDz is now on a 3 year cycle, man that hurts for zombies. Once every 3 years is tough going for the dedicated zombie players, thankfully it's a game mode that is addictive. You can play it solid for months, then not play it for months and still go back to it. Sledgehammer Games (if you aren't already aware) are the third developer in the Call of Duty team, joing Treyarch and Infinityward. Sledgehammers first game Advanced Warfare releases in just under 4 weeks - why not pop over to callofdutyzombies.com and get involved in the conversations in the dedicated Sledgehammer/Advanced Warfare forum We have been hard at work on the Frontpage and making it even better than what it was, we are also working in the background to bring the frontpage under the forum system. This will allow comments and so forth to be tied to the members account, on top of that it allows for easier article creation and promoting posts/topics to articles. In 6 months (roughly) news on Treyarchs next game in the Call of Duty franchise are likely to surface - usuallly around February little bits of news starts to filter out. We can't wait to find out what is going to happen in the next Treyarch release. Will we have previous maps released on the "next gen" consoles? Will we have bigger, better maps? Will the O4 or N4 return? Will be have 8 player co-op with N4 & 04? Just thinking about the next release is exciting, just to see what Treyarch can produce with the extra time to refine things. Callofdutyzombies.com uses a forum system called Invision Power Board (IPB) - the next major release of this is scheduled to be released in the next few months, we are currently bug testing on the Alpha release and it's given us time to investigate the powers and ease of use etc. It also gave us some time thinking about style and making things more sleek, more appealing and "less" cluttered. It's very early days (Alpha release) then we have Beta release and then release candidates (Beta RC1) for example. So we are have been working on the basis that over the coming months we will upgrade the forum to this version, once the modifications etc have been updated for the new release as well. I remember a conversation about a medal but recall what the decision was. We decided at the beginning of the CoDz Olympics, that the ToTW would be the Olympics topic until it finished. It's took a while to finish but it now has. ToTW (Topic of The Week) is actually every 2 weeks, or when we can get the chance to change it. We did think about a voting process for it, but feel free to put recommendations forward for ToTW for us to consider for the next one.

Don't need better servers, our server is actually very good and very optimised. What we need to do, is pay the bill on time and prevent downtime.

I forgot to mention, that the chatroom use the same smileys as the forum, so they would be shared across both.
