  1. I suffer from zombie nightmares in which, upon falling asleep after hours of zombies, my subconscious creates a map while I dream and I then realize I am the last person left to fend against the undead army while hearing the actual sound effects from the game. Gets me at least once a month.
  2. Okay sorry Jay, I completely misread that, my bad hahaha.
  3. I was going to make a Die Rise strategy thread for forum newcomers, but then I realized that you have to be good at zombies to make something like that. >:(

No reason to be negative towards yourself pal. You should start playing a bit and figure out some strats that seem good enough to share!

  4. I full heartedly agree with you on the difficulty of this map, buuuuttt... I disagree on Mob of the dead being nearly as difficult as the beginning of Origins. Mob of the Dead seems difficult on paper- get all the plane parts, feed the dogs, grab shield / acid gat parts / warden's key, get free blundergat with the hatchet, etc. However, carrying out these tasks is much easier than it sounds. The dogs only require 6 zombies each, most Afterlife challenges can be done together in one afterlife, and the environment in Mob is much more forgiving as compared to Origins (zombie AI, Slow mud / the lack thereof). Origins is much more difficult to set up, and I don't even understand how Mob of the Dead can be compared.
  5. Noticed a few days ago, wasn't sure if I was allowed to bring it up. What exactly happened to ThrowaMonkeyBomb's account?

      Lol, this happened months back.

      He got perma banned.

He and Jolteon had a ton of arguments on Skype.

      It was hilarious, hahaha

  6. I can tell already this is going to become mildly addictive for me. *sigh*
  7. On the topic of next-gen tech and using full potential, how awesome would it be to see a gamemode or even a single map where instead of the normal 24 zombies per horde, we could have 50? I think this would be better as a singular gamemode with no connection to the story, just running from the largest horde in existence with no way to defend yourself. Anyone else support this idea? I just love chaos in zombies honestly.
  8. Reading that was just heartbreaking... You built up the courage / endurance to brave the boredom of buried only to be punished. I feel for you bro. My deepest sympathies
  9. Hi CoDz, BrayJay here! Today I was wondering what everyone thought about the idea of hidden songs throughout the maps, whether they should return in the next zombies installment, and of course, your favorite song. I will start. I love the idea of finding items across the map to activate certain things, but my favorite reward is of the musical variety, as it can do multiple things for me in game: when I hit that final meteor, teddy bear, whiskey bottle, whatever it may be, and hear those initial notes to the song only playable on that specific map, it definitely gives me the feeling of accomplishment comparable to getting the Scavenger (favorite wonder weapon) from the box. I also enjoy the songs because they help lighten the mood for me while playing zombies, and I am reminded that it is just a game, while also increasing my focus towards wreaking havoc on the limitless hordes. I think these hidden songs should return, and that multiple songs should be implemented into the map, similar to Origins (3 songs = 3 times the feels). My personal favorite song to trigger is Avenged Sevenfold's "Not Ready to Die" on Call of the Dead because of the length as well as the sheer adrenaline rush I receive from the edgy riffs throughout this musical masterpiece. How about you all?
  10. I've actually never went down due to the mark II's kick... yet. But Mustang and Sally? Yeah, that's a different story. I was killing the scientist on five from the balcony and pushed myself back marginally enough to hit the safety bars on the balcony and boom, reviving Ya Boy BrayJay.
  11. Hit 72 on Ascension last night. More of a chore than fun at that point.

No doubt, I see lvl 50 approaching and I can barely keep my head up and eyes open, congrats on breaking 70.

  12. This is the situation I'm currently in haha. However, I've recently determined I'm wayyyy better than anyone in my friend group (not trying to be cocky, just realized its a fact after carrying them many a game). I've been putting my name out all over twitch for a high round co-op partner hehehe. I feel that eventually I will hold the record for something
  13. Honestly I feel this feature is more good than bad, as newer members to the forums constantly use it and revive dead posts back from what is sure to be oblivion.
  14. I've been watching Dahniska's stream lately and he mentioned you a couple times. Do you ever stream your high rounds?
  15. @thedinobot ranch music...

  16. Number freaking 5. I was trying to see if it was possible to make a crawler on round 52(?) and threw three grenades at once and thought it would be fine to stand on them after I lost flopper. I get hit by the first one, attempt to jump away and get red screened by the second one, then just enter revive mode as the last explodes what seemed like miles away from me. Needless to say, don't attempt to make crawlers past 30 with frags. Its not possible, nor a very ingenious thing to do.
  17. What about an abandoned airport?
  18. After I hit my first 50+ in Ascension this week, I thought I would try for my first 50+ on another map, one of my all time favorites Shangri La. At about round 20, I was having a lot of fun as I had taught myself the cutback route to run in the AK 74u room, and had my near ideal set-up (Jug, Revive, PhD, Stamin Up, M&S, Spikemore, Bowie, and un-pap'd baby gun). all was going well and I was ready to pack my shrink ray, so I run up to spawn. I noticed a little bit too late that there was a Napalm zombie I had passed, so I attempted to cross back over the spikes and blow him up. Unfortunately, I was caught inside of the spike trap when he blew and I insta-downed. While I was being revived, I cringed in horror. The napalm zombie's flames had engulfed the spike trap. When I was fully revived, I tried my hardest to escape the flaming spikes and reacquire quick revive, but the trap proved fatal. This is one of the most embarrassing downs I have attained to date, and is nothing short of an achievement for me. What about yours?
  19. Dang. my list would go a little something like this: Buried- too easy, get set up at round one and then camp jug for the entirety of the game. Ascension- has some of the easiest training spots in the game, the easiest wonder weapon to use, and traps that kill full hoards at any round. Kino Der Toten- same as ascension with a better camping spot than any other map (fire pit). Der Riese- has a ton of spots that are easy enough to train, and traps make high rounds possible, as well as max ammo from dogs at higher rounds. Shi no Numa- Shi no Numa's swamp has always intimidated players, however there is nothing to fear. The training spot in front of comm room and flogger make for easy rounds, not to mention the wunderwaffe. Tranzit- has unlimited ammo wonder weapon along with massive training spot in front of the farm. Also persistent upgrades allow for higher health, retaining of perks, etc. Mob of the Dead- This map's cafeteria has the best of everything: easy access to trap, zombie shield and wall gun for points to feed the trap. Die Rise- Okay, the Budha room would be an easy place to train, but the zombie AI and walkers on this map are what makes it harder than what lies above. Sliquifier was way nicer pre-patch. Farm- Barn spawn control is the one reason this gets ranked over town. One person at window, one person at barn opening = round 30+. Town- has a few training spots, but overall the lava makes it annoying. Easy to jump over when you teach yourself. Raygun Mark II is a beaut on this map. Nuketown Zombies- No lava makes this town easier than the first... until you remember the perks come randomly. Origins- The easter egg is a hard task to complete even for the best of players on solo. Mainly due to one step, but still. Panzer in early rounds is no joke, take him out quick. Moon- Moon has some great areas to train and great weapons to use, as well as a max ammo farmer. However, its ease is reduced by- excavators, no man's land, and the ever-annoying cosmonaut. Shangri La- The wonderweapon and map is amazing. There are unfortunately no usable traps, so hitting box mid-round for that baby gun will prove difficult indeed. The boss zombies? Shrieker can be defeated easily enough, but the Napalm zombie will prove a little bit more difficult. Training either includes whole map trains or cutbacks for days. Call of the Dead- A full map without any instakill weapons (for solo play) or traps? Hitting the box mid-round? The only thing you have to save yourself with is the crossbow and George's gift. Verruckt: No high round killing weapons and traps that are debatebly the hardest to run in zombies, this map is no easy task. Five: Even harder traps to run than Verruckt. Good luck. (Still one of my favorite maps to this day) Nacht der Untoten: no jug. Need I say more? Thundergun? Oh, right. Bus Depot: No perks? No thundergun? Wait, there's also lava? Only Jesus could survive on this map.
  20. I taught my best friend Bryce how to play zombies and the game ranks him better than me now But rank means nothing to me. I can still pull games in which I carry him, however he has clutch moments and I am slowly teaching him the best methods to conquer the z's.
  21. Yeah, but only for odd numbered rounds, and the rounds are still equally dangerous if not more so due to the number of zombies Kappa
  22. Thanks @lead_psychopath for the links, they answered my questions. It stinks we don't have anything like this up to date on CoDz. Are these things hidden in the coding or what? I thought the formulas would be easy to find for curious pc players. A BO2 version of this would be heavenly but I am happy with what I have received. Also, I remember the posts you are talking about from binsys, but have not seen them for a while unfortunately.
  23. I personally think this is a great idea for those more inclined towards zombies than multiplayer, for multiple reasons. If it were enabled for public match lobbies on certain weekends, I feel new world records would be constantly set on those weekends, especially for maps like bus depot lacking double tap. It would increase the number of people playing zombies. And if it stacked, it would be virtually as strong as Pack a Punch + Double Tap II. This is all around a great idea in my opinion. Great creativity EJ! Imaginative as always.
  24. Hi CoDz, I've been lurking for a little bit. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had access to PC files that revealed the health increase formulas and zombies per round formula in both Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2. Also, wondering the damage on some weapons so if anyone has a possible link or download to the files or ACCURATE statistics (not the wiki ) please comment below. Thanks for listening!
