  1. You know what chopper, I've put about 2 hours into NML, I had no idea it would take that long to get good at it! You've given me inspiration. I thought I was just crap at it! Edit: I would love to see a 'how to' guide/clinic on NML.
  2. I'm also wondering what's going on, yesterday it wouldn't let me sign on at all so I couldn't check! Are we about to get more DLC. Or is it a grand, crazy scheme where they're going to add the wonderfizz to all maps, but to stop people complaining about maps being easier, they're resetting leaderboards? Farfetched, I agree. But this is treyarch at the end of the day. When have they ever been predictable?
  3. My friend and I had another place, on the map Bayview. Over on the left side (by the sea), there's a roof spot where you can only get to it by climbing the ladders. We got to round 20 without even using a squadmate.
  4. I'm so glad you asked this, because I had no idea either. A friend had said you had to hold down the action button for a few seconds, but it never seemed to work. I definitely haven't held it longer than 5 seconds though.
  5. I don't think the season pass would cover it to be honest. Especially if it was zombies only. I still would pay for new DLC if it wasn't included in the pass, I really miss playing zombies as much. Having said that, I definitely wouldn't pay for a new DLC if it was just more remade maps. Unless it was all 10 zombies maps from WaW and Bo1, that'd be worth it in my eyes.
  6. It's totally off topic, but I'd love to see PhD come back too, but I'd love to see a PhD2 instead. What does the new one do? It increases explosive damage. Grenades break my heart. At the beginning of a game, I want the points, so don't use them. By round 5 they pretty much just make crawlers. By round 20 it feels like you need hundreds of them to kill a zombie. Tbf, it's only on instakill that I would really use them (other than to make a crawler). So with PhD2, it increases your grenade damage 500%, which would give each grenade damage of 1250 (slightly over one ray gun bullet), and maybe a 100% damage increase on every other explosive weapon (except the ray gun mark 2). It'd have to have a price hike too, maybe 6000 or something like that.
  7. That's a really good idea! Love it. Kinda like the electric fence gun from ratchet and clank, just more COD. Ps. How about Tesla and Watt as the PaP version? ;-)
  8. My list is going to be really short, as there's only three perks which I can't live without: 1. Jug 2. Double Tap 2 3.Quick Revive On Co-Op Quick revive isn't quite as important as solo. The rest of the perks I don't have an order for, apart from Whos Who, which if left up to me I'd patch out of the game because of being totally useless. For example, 2 days ago I got to round 53 on solo and suicided. I had one down, and fortunately didn't have who's who. I have since tried three times to beat that score, r46 the first time, r17 then r23. Both of the two lower rounds I got killed by who's who spawning me in a really crap location. It'd be the best perk if it let you keep Quick Revive and Jug for 30 seconds, but no, you get sweet fa. Rant over.
  9. That is the best term for a wonder weapon yet!
  10. A very good argument. But again, are the world record holders so serious about zombies that they want the DLC early? They just can't wait? Or is it that they are just Xbox fans? I didn't want to mention YouTube, but when a new COD game comes out, there are a lot more of the bigger YouTubers playing the PlayStation. Ali-a and Syndicate to name two. They don't play PlayStation only, but a mix between the two. (although for a while Ali-a only played ps4). As for MLG, I genuinely think they don't bring anything to the game. Fair enough that the developers may listen, but I'd sooner leave the developers to it. And finally, on the note of Xbox and MLG, it looks like Microsoft pump money into MLG events, so I'd say that's a also a reason. Edit: COD is progressively getting worse, the link IMO, is since developers started to lean towards MLG.
  11. Finally got one of my own last night. Got to round 53 die rise on solo, and then suicided because, well, I got a bit bored. Until I'd killed myself, I only had one down.
  12. Who exactly do you mean by "most serious players"? Most "serious players" would have an Xbox because they get the DLC earlier, not because of a preference in console. Don't also forget man, that the competitive community is still a tiny percentage of gamers. Kids and teenagers are the bread and butter of COD. Not MLG.
  13. Lol. This post is so random! Good advice though. I'm not a zombie god, but I'll, still take the ice staff thanks. ;-)
  14. Geeze Chopper, that was like 7500 points before you even pap'd. Epic video.
  15. I remember hearing something like that during E3. Guess they renewed it? Contract was renewed in 2012 Also the guy who started this rumour has been wrong more than once about some of the things he's said. So I guess we'll wait and see what happens, would be an interesting change though. Way back in the days when Call of Duty: Finest Hour came out, wasn't it PlayStation only? I don't remember ever seeing it on the original Xbox. Would definitely be an interesting change though. Who started the rumor?
  16. Flip me I didn't realize the freezing issue was a ps3 issue. I like both consoles, but I still have such fond memories of the ps2 that I'll always lean towards PlayStation. I really hope that the ps4 is going to be the lead console for COD, but I cannot see ps4 getting the dlc earlier, personally I think it'll stay the same way, xbox early, ps 1 month later. The difference will be that there wont be any software issues on ps4, and we would get patches first.
  17. Not sure. But would it have been in the description for the shi no numa map pack? Along the lines of "introducing a brand new wonder weapon..." Infact doesn't wunderwaffe mean wonder weapon?
  18. Geeze, id love a game with those two! And you too jay, but we never seem to be on at the same time!
  19. I find BO2 zombies takes so long, that's what spoils it for me. The maps I adore playing are Nuketown, followed by Town. They might be a bit boring, but I love them because there's so much less hassle. No building things, waiting for lifts, weather.... I don't want to have one game last for 3 hours, and only get to r30. I do enjoy BO2 zombies a lot, just not as much as BO1. Also, the fact it doesn't save games when someone quits/lags out is really crap.
  20. For <30, one guy by stamin up, the other by the bowling alley, another underneath jug, and the last one running by semtex. After 30 it gets a bit dangerous for the alley player. Also I've had games where people have run under the bar, around the pool table. And last, but not least, keep the bank door closed. It's easier to run, but also I find a lot of players panic if they're the last man standing. They run into the bank and get trapped.
  21. Nuketown, mainly the same reason as Lenne. But also it was the map that gave me the zombie bug. :-D
  22. I had one like that the other night. Was camping on the stairs in die rise (by the sofa blockage near spawn), was shooting sliquifyer at the bottom of the stairs, so zombies would just fall over, then we'd shoot them. A max ammo dropped, so (without moving) shot a load of sliquifyer at the stairs, where I just suddenly slipped all the way down, off the edge of the map! Grrrr.
  23. For me, as I'm still not the best player in the world, rather than right or wrong, I'd put it down to safe and unsafe strategies. The only problem for me is safer is also usually slower. For example yesterday my friend and I had a game of Verruckt. We were trying to beat our best of 25, and we were doing really well. The strat we were using was we'd start the round in spawn, then walk really slowly anti-clockwise around the map, till we'd get back to spawn, then shoot the train of the zombies, rinse and repeat. It was perfectly safe till we started getting greedy (we were staying too long in spawn, trying to kill more than a train in a go), if we had just stayed till we killed half a train, we would've lasted a lot longer. For me though, the thrill of playing when everyone goes down and there's only one player left, that's the bit I love. Not knowing whether you are going to be able to clutch the team, or if the last player can clutch the team.
  24. It happened to me on the pole that takes you to the second level in the Buddha room. I'd say that's where they're talking about. I was having a flawless game, round 30 something with no downs. So I stand there waiting for the round to start while looking at the moon, only to get moved. I thought it was like a hidden easter egg that I'd found! I try it again on the next round, and BOOM, starting pistol, no perks, and zombies everywhere! Needless to say, I didn't last very long on that game!
  25. That's exactly what this threads for! The little victories, that are epic to us!
