  1. The "bad memories" the voice is talking about could be from whatever happened during Operation Charybdis. That said, Mason had been through so much shit at that point, what would be bad enough to affect him? They end up returning to the CIA, too. Maybe Mason resumed the search after he was believed to be dead in 1989... And the only person I can see them giving up everything to track down would be Resnov...
  2. I forgot about that operation, somehow! Whoever Mason, Hudson and Weaver were after, it led to the CIA "burning" and hunting after them. This is the last time Weaver is ever mentioned, and the time period works
  3. @swappingspit Excellent find. If it is Black Ops 3, we have no idea what Alex Mason did between 1979-1985, only that he went back to war/the CIA before retiring. That period is known as the second cold war... And Waterman's Sunscreen, which uses that exact trident from the photo, was founded in 2005 but I doubt that means anything. I'm not seeing anything else, so it's probably just a coincidence that the same trident was used.
  4. The wolf obviously means this is the legendary Call of Duty: Iron Wolf But in all seriousness, I still here something behind the horn in snap 5. As far as the latest update is concerned, the crows have to be attracted to something dead. There's blood around them in the other snaps too... It could just be a symbol for death, or we may see what the cause of all these crows is later on.
  5. World map... World war... World at War 2 confirmed
  6. Any thoughts on the newest snap? Salim is no longer speaking, and the images seem a lot more sporadic. Maybe his hypnosis failed, or the sound is masking his voice? And I don't know about this, but compared to other "real-life" scans it looks like the brain in these videos has been severely damaged. Alex Mason's brain is probably a mess, or it could be a new character. There's something more to this one...
  7. Say the hidden logo is a SEAL trident, and Doctor Salim is in fact Arab... Would Activision actually allow Treyarch to cover the War on Terror? David Mason could have enlisted upon the events of 9/11, his age matches. And has anyone tried to analyze the other light blue image of the moon/sun? The tree with the trident had a very similar starting color.
  8. I'm not sure what the deal is with the missing characters... "The numbers, Mason! What do they mean?" is how everyone is reacting right now. But I honestly have no idea what to think...
  9. I completely agree, this is a phenomenal way to build excitement for the next game. Thanks for making this thread! As far as what it all means, that's something we might not know exactly until the game releases. The guy narrating, Dr. Salim, seems to be really important. The point about David Mason you brought up is very interesting, too. Maybe we're listening in on the brainwashing of Alex Mason, or maybe this is him talking with a psychiatrist after the events of Black Ops in an attempt to stop being haunted by Resnov. The tree could be his "happy place" where he remembers that moment with David. Either way, I think Treyarch will move away from the future and go back to the historical outlook their other games have. If they build off of the ending where Alex is just wounded, they have a lot of time to fill in where he was MIA...Salim is a common Arab name, so maybe a game set in the Middle East? Or would Treyarch be able to cover the war on terror? Alex would be 68, but David would be 22 at the time 9/11 occured, which could be his reason for enlisting... Hell, they could go back even further, as there still is a really good chance Alex Mason killed/helped assassinate JFK. Being the "bad guy" and being hunted down by your former allies is a very rare thing in gaming all together. There's so much Treyarch can do, and I can't wait to see what they're planning... And, ya know, more zombies info would always be a plus
  10. It's a stretch, but there seems to be a reflection of the Roman numeral for 3 made by the trees, which would match the Black Ops 2 style. But the big hint to me is the last frame with the tree in the snow, which I see as a reference to the campaign of Black Ops 2 where a younger David Mason falls from his tree in front of Alex. The "listen only to the sound of my voice" statement is probably a reference to the brainwashing of Alex Mason in Black Ops 1... With all these hints, I definitely feel like this is another entry in the BO series. (I also see a person standing if you look closely at the right side of the eye, but I'm not sure how that's connected) But wow, is this a phenomenal way to build excitement for the next game. Classic Treyarch :)
  11. I completely agree. It may indeed be wishful thinking, but they have had extra time. A pre-order bonus or cheap add-on... either way, if it doesn't affect the new maps, then it would be amazing to have everything in one place. The fact that we got Zombies information this early in the year makes me hope that the next game will be a lot more zombies-focused.
  12. Hey man, it's nice to meet you! Homestly, I was pretty much in the same boat. I've been crazy into the COD Zombies storyline for years, but I've only been a member of this website for a few days now. You've definitely made a great decision, though. The people here are great, and I manage to learn something new about Zombies every time I log on. That was a great introduction, and I can't wait to see you in the other forums!
  13. Welcome aboard Rick, nice to have you around. Yip, @GRILL is really a girl VRILL, he'll deny it (I mean she'll deny it) but we all know otherwise @PINNAZ is creator of the zombie library an immense collection of information. Sure, not playing it much at the moment, zombied out just now (well, not really, still playing exo's now and again). It was an interesting presentation, we just need to digest all the information and see what else is thrown our way. We just need to wait and see what they have in store for us, they know we want them remastered and on the next gen consoles - just a case of wait and see. Thanks for the intro. Thanks for the reply, and all the helpful info that came with it! I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of things.
  14. I completely agree with your stance on the remakes. If they take the easy way out and do little but port the maps to next gen, or charge us too much for them, I'd be disappointed. (especially if that's all we had until DLC) But if Treyarch can remake all these maps, opening new locations and fixing issues like George, then I'm completely on board. For all we know, all the old maps as well as new ones can be on disc from day one... but that sounds too good to be true. Another option is a "second disc of content" with all the classic maps, in the prestige edition... Regardless, bringing these maps to PS4 and Xbox One can help gain new fans for the series, and in turn make Treyarch and Activision even more money. That said, as much as I'd love to see the classics on a new engine, new content (and lots of it) HAS to be the top priority. In my opinion, Classic Zombies is the way to go.
  15. Wow... I'm really late when it comes to seeing this, but damn, this theory is good. Hell, it's way better than the "kids just playing a game" option, and better than my old thoughts on it. At first, I took the ending literally, thinking that everything was a game that Sam turned into reality when she took control. But this gives me hope. Great Job!
  16. Thanks for putting this up! I'm looking through it now, and you've got a great point. There seems to be a little more focus specifically on the fly trap. The pocket teleporter is interesting too, and it reminds me a lot of Buried's time bomb.
  17. True. But I doubt there is much vegetation left growing after the rockets hit, and a Venus Fly Trap would have little chance of surviving without any food source. The past is a beautiful place my friend. We dont have to go forwards in zombies, we can go back, side to side and to the moon if we like! Very true!
  18. True. But I doubt there is much vegetation left growing after the rockets hit, and a Venus Fly Trap would have little chance of surviving without any food source.
  19. That's definitely an interesting possibility. If Venus doesn't happen, though, where else could a Venus Fly Trap be located? Maybe we would see it in a re-imagining/return to Shi No Numa, or the Moon bio dome?
  20. This is really nothing that big, but the pictures with Richtofen crossed out are REALLY making me think back to a line from the Origins song, Archangel. "Burn the liars and begin again." Of course, everybody here knows that "Eddy is a liar". Maybe this is hinting at Richtofen's death due to the Maxis ending? Or the remaining characters going back in time, attempting to get rid of Richtofen before things got as bad as they did? It could be nothing, but it's just something to think about... Also, has anyone managed to recreate that image from Nacht? I don't think there's anything special about it, but I'd like to know for sure.
  21. "The Giant is rising. Face the might of the Nazi Zombies in their heartland. This is where it all began. This is where the master plan took shape. Is this where it all ends?" ―Map Description "Is this where it all ends?" Honestly, this map description is starting to make sense to me. The zombies story line could end where it all started, with a return to Der Riese.
  22. This is a really interesting way of looking at it. The reason for them returning is what I'm wondering about, though. Maybe it has something to do with Richtofen's signature on the "new" Der Riese loading screen, or Richtofen being erased from all the photos. If they go off of the Maxis ending, which I'd expect them to, wouldn't the Earth be entirely destroyed? At that rate, the only possible survivors would be the original characters (minus Richtofen) as they could still be on the moon. Maybe they would teleport back through time to rewrite history? If they went back to Der Riese, (before the major events occured) they could stop Richtofen from killing Maxis and Sam, and the O4 could end the outbreak before it truly started. Then again, it might just be an alternate universe, too. (or a simple remake with different wall guns) But the image itself does look A LOT like Der Riese, that's for sure.
  23. Hey, man! As far as gfn goes, there's no major significance. The letters are just initials for my childhood dog's ridiculous name, Gizmo Farooq Newman...lol. That ended up being my PSN ID, and it just kinda stuck.
  24. Whoops, just noticed there was a seperate forum section to find other players. My bad, should have put that in the proper area. Thanks a lot for the links, by the way! I'll be sure to read through them carefully.
  25. Hello! My names Rick, or gfn21. I've played COD Zombies for years, (as well as A LOT of other games) but I had no idea this awesome website existed. A few questions: 1.) Is there anything about the website I should be aware of? 2.) Does anyone want to play a round of Zombies, sometime? (If so, feel free to add me) 3.) What is everybody thinking about the presentation from the DICE Summit 2015? I'm not sure if it's just me having a lot of hope or what, but it seems like they are hinting at a remake of all the old maps for the current generation of consoles... perhaps even a zombies only game? That would be absolutely amazing, to have an entire game dedicated to Zombies. A zombies campaign would be incredibly interesting, actually seeing/playing the moments we know happened, like Richtofen losing his sanity or the death of Sam. Having cutscenes to let the important moments shine would be excellent. Plus having all the maps redone on a new engine, and maybe even a map creator? But then again, that's probably just wishful thinking. I can't wait to meet everyone here and start talking about the game we all love so much.
