i wandered this exact same thing, the winters howls weakness can be explained on COTD aswell as the zombies have developed a resistance to the cold. I love the Winters howl, its one of my favourite WWs and because its hated by the majority of the community, i dont have to get through a fight as im the only who wants it - unlike the thundergun where everyone spams the box to get that damn thing.

^Your explanation of your love for FIVE is exactly why i love it. But your love for Nuketown i will not understand, your reasons are why I and many others hate the map. The perk setup, the lack of a WW is what killed the map for me and the general lack of effort put into the map.

I think i found out who the Pentagon thief is aka The Scientist, The Doctor, it turns out he is in fact a Doctor:

PHD can be OP with the M&S - but they are pretty much useless after round 30 imo and will just make crawlers and with the low ammo count, it doesnt help you. I did see the rumor of PHD returning in BO3 as a proper stock perk on map by default (all waw/bo1 perks basically) and that it will be more expensive because of no DtP, and so you instead slide to create the explosion

Yes whos who would work on Tranzit and Tombstone would work on Die rise. Your Whos who doppleganger imo should be given Mustang and Sally, just like in QR mode on Solo, as otherwise you dont stand at a chance assuming you havent spawned into a group of zombies either

Theres another reason i dislike Die rise and that is that it wasnt beta tested. The amount of downs i got from the map itself after release was a joke and a lot of it was not fixed till after MOTD had come out. They were very quick to fix the multiple sliquifier glitch - but that should've been the least of their worries, they needed to focus on the damn elevator shaft and the slide.

Make The giant a different map than Der riese
TimelordAlex replied to TimelordAlex's topic in The Giant
well yeah i hope they add new perks at least, i dont want just the stock perks -
FIVE is much better than Die Rise. Jimmy Z i remember was tweeted about the lack of perks on Die Rise and he said he didnt think Stamin-up was needed on the map (God i wish it was on MOTD, its absence in that bewilders me). I would love PHD on the map and it wouldnt exactly eliminate the threat of falling of the building. I think they should've put it in the map where its troll place currently is, but made a way to get it.

Make The giant a different map than Der riese
TimelordAlex replied to TimelordAlex's topic in The Giant
They better not leave it exactly the same - as they are charging money for it, we should not be paying for the same map -
I am not a huge Der Riese fan unlike most of the Zombie community, I find it too easy and therefore gets boring rather quickly. The good news is i hear The Giant, is not a remaster, it is a remake of sorts, i gather it is Der Riese years before what we know it as. I would like to see some Origins features carry over to this map as it just feels like they should as its the origins crew and they've just come from there (presumably). I'd like to see Dig sites return, i just thought they were a neat feature that would fit in with the map, the zombie shield of course and perhaps the maxis drone. But my number 1 feature from Origins i want to see back is The Panzer. Throwing the Panzer into the map would give it some level of extra difficulty, you cant just camp on the cat walk unless well equipped as he'll come up there and fuck you over with no escape and i think he'd fit in the map too, he can easily materialize in the map as there are outside parts. Dogs can return too in their own rounds. How about having zombies, dogs and panzers after you in the high rounds. It would give this map a new leash of life imo and one i would like. There is an origins feature i dont want to see return though and thats the staffs - im quite content with the Wunderwaffe returning, the Ray Gun(s) and perhaps one new WW. It'd be nice to get more than stock perks this time, change the locations around and bring back the Wunderfizz (I want my PHD and Mustangs back ). Anyway theres my thoughts on The Giant.

Are any of you buying BO3 for last gen?
TimelordAlex replied to ViolentVoltage's topic in General Discussion
Seeing as its looking like last gen BO3 may not be getting DLC, im glad i have an Xbone now. There will be a dumbed down base BO3 game for last gen but i reckon thats it and there will no DLC or anything else for it. Its just that little extra cash for ATVI. -
I think Buried is far easier than Die rise. Someone described Die rise so perfectly, Tranzit is crap and so when we first met die rise, we thought it was really good, but thats just because Tranzit was SO bad, it hided how bad Die rise was too - as now you compare it to MOTD, Origins, Buried even, the map has nothing. I'm not even a huge fan of the Sliquifer, but i think the reason it was made easy to make was due to the fan feedback from the shit gun on Tranzit. The only thing it was missing was a PaP upgrade and if there was one, the upgrade would make one difference and that is the death effect spreads much faster to zombies bit like the Wunderwaffe. I dont think Die rise is bad, but isnt good either and just kinda falls into a forgettable map imo, theres nothing that makes the map so awesome , but nothing that makes it so bad, so theres nothing memorable in it.

I'd laugh that we've seen this, if 3arc saw it too and decided to actually add it in for the lols

The most important feature which should be included.
TimelordAlex replied to NFSPLAYER's topic in General Discussion
Actually your right, on various occasions its put me in public lobbies when there in really high rounds, 20+. I've been in origins where 2 people left and then after round 20, people starting joining the game. -
The most important feature which should be included.
TimelordAlex replied to NFSPLAYER's topic in General Discussion
That is only for custom games though, are we talking about that as well as public lobbies? -

I do not want to be deranked or lose xp because it was the game that kicked me (yes im looking at you BO2) or loss of internet connection. And if they make BO3 a combination of BO1/2 which is host migration from BO2 and the rounds still counting like BO1 regardless if a player leaves. Then is player punishment as necessary as they havent necessarily ruined your game. -
ATVI Have Yet To Support Xbone BC?!
TimelordAlex replied to TimelordAlex's topic in General Discussion
I disagree actually, the Blunderbuss is far more effective than the cauterizer, the Blunderbuss was still giving me 1 hit kills on round 25 unupgraded, whilst the .cauterizer was requiring 3 hits to kill one zombie at mk 2. The best guns to have on Descent imo are the Blunderbuss and the Trident. -
Could there be a third zombie map or mode on launch?
TimelordAlex replied to DeathBringerZen's topic in General Discussion

TimelordAlex replied to DeathBringerZen's topic in General Discussion
I think there will be a third map if they have time perhaps or it might be shafted to DLC 1 - i read that somewhere, may not be true but it is possible, it does seem odd to reveal all the zombies stuff this early, thats always been a September onwards thing. As for cut and paste maps from the main big map - im not opposed to this, as when Blundell took the lead for MOTD, they made cell block for grief and they actually put some effort into it at least by adding in some perks, removing jugg, adding the wall weapons you couldnt buy into the box like the M1927, the dog feeding was changed, they customized it, and thats probably why the cell block grief is most popular. Buried Borough is ok, but lacked any customization to it and is basically playing buried without worrying about leroy and having to setup. So im down for the cut and paste maps when there not entirely cut and paste - kinda gutted origins didnt have a cut off section. I think SoE will be like MOTD, a one-off sequelish map, just because the map had such high appraisal, and the giant is the sequel to origins which overall had high appraisal, but it being a small map and not really important its given the bonus pay extra treatment. Then of course we have where we are next going, somewhere new in a map not yet revealed. -

Why not remove the crappy lynx and put the Blunderbuss in its place on X360 -

I kinda hope it doesnt come free with season pass, as im looking to buy the digital deluxe edition and somewhere in there im paying for both the season pass and the giant. So it better not come free by buying season pass separately
