  1. Well, Dempsey was one of the people involved in the destruction on the Earth and didn't seem to care, instead complaining about the amount of work they went through for nothing. Of course, this could be just a result of the experiments that he had undergone, and his reaction could have been completely different, but it's something to think about. I agree that the Zombies are the lucky ones though. The humans need to go day-by-day moving from place to place, scavenging everywhere for food and ammo, and constantly fighting the undead masses. To me that sounds like living Hell. Sure, the Zombies probably got a horrible death when they were alive, but at least that was (presumabley) quick. They lucky ones are them. And I have no idea who is in the "Only the cursed survive" poster, but I too doubt it is The Unmarked Man. Just my two cents on all this.
  2. I have to agree. the SMR is a completely terrible gun. However, I do think it, or simillar weapons, should have a place in the Mystery Box. It makes the Mystery Box more of a gamble, and you don't constantly rely on it, with a good chance of getting a powerful weapon.
  3. Man, 39 days. Only seems like yesterday we got the launch trailer, and I signed up. Now I'm assuming Treyarch will be able to start working on DLC?
  4. Please do record some footage if you can. I bet there are a lot of curious people here who would love to see what it looks like.
  5. Well, this is certainly one of the more bizarre Zombie announcements we've gotten so far. http://charlieintel.com/2015/09/20/black-ops-3-zombies-shadow-of-evil-gets-its-own-theme-park-ride-at-six-flags/ I knew they were going all out with Zombies this year, but I never would've expected this. EDIT: I'm guessing what they did at SDCC was testing the waters for this.

    Sword?

Yes it makes so much sense to retexture galvaknuckles as brass knuckles. Also why talk about something that isnt gameplay after talking about gameplay for everything else? Because it's a weapon that relates directly to his character. But yeah you're right, they could end up easily just re-skinning the Galvas. I agree, I also loved the Golden Spork and the Retriever. From the trailer for SoE though, it looks like the swords will be able to be thrown, much like the Hell's Retriever/Redeemer. And yes, it was the campaign team that made both Origins and MotD.

    Sword?

Are we really getting Brass knuckles though? I thought he just mentioned them, since we see his character use them in the SoE cutscene part of the trailer. And let's not forget about the Olympia. :( I would've much preferred that in the map, instead of the Ballista.
  8. Welcome to the forums, and enjoy your stay!
  9. Everyone's talking about MGS V... And I'm just here playing Mad Max.

  10. Agreed. I have no idea why so many people wanted it nerfed, and now It is by far the most useless specialist ability out there.
  11. Cool idea, although the Creepers sound like something that could be very annoying. :P And I'm getting a very Exodus feeling from Extinction with this concept.
  12. Thats a good point, we need a new map that will be remembered as well as Nuketown. The thing with that map was the idea, setting and gameplay but nothing like that has ever came together in a map again. They tried this once in Black Ops DLC (Drive-In), but it wasn't nearly as popular as Nuketown. It seems Treyarch prefer to ride on the success and appeal of older maps, which I don't really mind. Personally, I really enjoy Nuketown, but yeah, at the same time, more unique maps would be welcome to me as well.
  13. Cool. I'm glad it's back, it's the map that most probably think of, when thinking of the Black Ops series, but it definitely needed to be re-imagined. Could you imagine the normal Nuketown with the advance movements? But that name "NUK3TOWN" is just awful though :P
  14. Those soundfiles are really cool. Especially the Round Start sound for Shadows of Evil, which is actually just a variation of the Origins Round Start music. Same goes for The Giant and Mob of the Dead. I was glad to be able to listen to the SoE Trailer Music in full though.
  15. It could relate to the fact that the wave gun replica is being given as a reward for the donation thing. I think that would make sense. The Wave Gun prop isn't been given away. A new prop from an upcoming Black Ops 3 Live-Action trailer will be the reward for donating. Unless, the Wave Gun does come back in Black Ops 3, and the prop im the trailer ends up being the Wave Gun. :P http://www.callofdutyzombies.com/index.php?/topic/179749-some-interesting-prizes-to-be-won-if-you-donate-to-call-of-duty-endowment/ COD Endowment prize. I still hope it comes back at some point though, I love its design. $20,000 = Prop From Future Live Action Call of Duty Trailer Signed By Mark Lamia From what I can gather from above, the photo is a placeholder for what the actual reward will be. Afterall, that photo is taken right from the COD Zombie Labs trailer.

  17. When does Tank say he had a daughter. I have never heard him quote that at all and have read lots of different versions of a quote about a daughter so I don't buy it. Also Misty's mother was already dead before the apocalypse, she just lived with her dad on a farm and he must have turned or something. I don't think Tank has ever explicitly stated that he has a daughter, however, there is a quote on Moon, where Dempsey purchases a gun, he says "I'm gonna buy one of these for my five year old!" This, of course, could also mean he has a son. If there is a definite quote where Dempsey states he has a daughter, and someone can point it out to me, I'd appreciate it.
  18. The thing is, there are only two buildables actually related to gameplay on Die Rise, and building the Trample Steam honestly isn't even necessary. All of the parts for the Sliquifier are confined to the bottom two floors of the tower with the power switch and it can all be done in round 1. I would argue that collecting all of the parts across MOTD and Origins (two enormous maps with multiple buildables in each one) is FAR more tedious than building the Sliquifier and/or trample steam. The fact that both Origins and MOTD allow you to carry all of the parts for a given buildable at the same time is awesome, but I don't see how the busy work on Die Rise is anywhere near as tedious as the busy work on either of those two maps, overall. It's more about the idea in general of how buildables are done in the Zombie team created maps. Yes, Mob of the Dead and Origins are huge maps, but as you mentioned yourself, you can pick up all the parts in one go, and it saves you from running all the way back to the next part's location, and then back to the table, once again. I must say though, I thought there were more than two buildables on the map, but I guess that happens when you don't play a map for a long time.
  19. I'm pretty sure they do work up until the 50's. If someone could correct me if I'm wrong, that would be great.
  20. I disagree. It's clear that quite a lot of people are becoming fed up with futuristic warfare, and want a back-to-basics World War II shooter on next-gen systems.
  21. I wasn't going to comment because of this thread's title and my personal lukewarm feelings on the map, but since everyone else is commenting on what they don't like, I might as well add a few things about the map too. First of all, the wall weapons. The wall weapons are good. Very good, in fact. So good, that it makes the box completely useless, especially if you're going for a high round, since the main wonder weapon of this map is buildable. I do understand why they didn't add PhD Flopper to the map, though. It is OP with the Mustang and Sally's, but to combat this, they could've done something like raising it's point value. Or maybe decrease how effective it is, spalsh damage wise. The buildables, once again, are in my opinion, tedious and frustrating to build them all. I think Mob of the Dead and Origins done buildables best. However, I do think the Trample Steam is pretty cool, though. It can get you out of some pretty tight spots. Overall, I don't like this map, but I don't dislike it either. I wouldn't say it's a bad map, but it does get boring pretty quickly for me.
  22. I think Treyarch may have been too far into development, before people really started asking for another World War 2 game.
  23. Mrroflwaffles confirmed on his livestream on Twitch last night that The Giant will remain completely the same, when it comes to the map layout. A remastered Beauty of Anihilation would be pretty cool though, and if the Wunderwaffe doesn't come back in some capacity, I'll never forgive Treyarch. Aw man, well I hope they don't leave it completely the same.I would like to see the same wall weapons though That doesn't seem to be the case, unfortunately. This image was taken from the Treyarch D.I.C.E. Summit Presentation back in February. It's an image from The Giant, and it has one of the Assault Rifle's(?) from 2065.

  25. Yeah, a time period change would not be drastic enough to explain the change in layout. The map we've always known actually occurs on the same day, in the same hour, only 20 seconds before The Giant, as far as we can tell. How that works is yet to be seen. The Giant takes place after Der Riese not before it, in the original timeline Richtofen would have woken up the other three they would've gone where ever and ended up back at Der Riese eventually but theres never a date where it says when the map takes place aside from a broken clock. The Giant is set before the original Der Riese. At the start of the cutscene you can see the radio from the original Der Riese map taking place.
