I have to say that If there had been a Beta for modern warfare 2, I would not have purchased it. After about two weeks I was disgusted with the game. But your probably still correct, the uneducated masses would have still blindly purchased the game regardless of the Beta.

The situation where that happened with World at War was the result of Fanboyism.

Lol, I didn't mean to imply that Everyone who bought and Enjoyed modern warfare 2 were stupid. I meant that a large majority(the masses) of people who bought the game didn't know anything about it, they simply bought it because it was Flashy, or because their under-14-year-old Spoiled Kids Wanted it. And they Would have done so Regardless of the games issues, Agreeing with the Koolaid man, on his point that modern warfare 2 wouldn't have lost a substantial amount of sales based on the Beta, like World at War Did Based on Fanboyism.
