Angry_Sun Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 Alright, so what's up with the "110" we see in one of the film clips? November 9, 1994 at 4:39 pm, the first atom with atomic number 110 was detected at the Gesellschaft fur Schwerionenforschung (GSI) in Darmstadt, in Germany. Element 110 was produced by fusing a nickel and lead atom together. This was achieved by accelerating the nickel atoms to a high energy in the heavy ion accelerator."This rare reaction occurs only at a very specific velocity of the nickel projectile. Over a period of many days, many billion billion nickel atoms must be shot at a lead target in order to produce and identify a single atom of element 110. The atoms produced in the nickel-lead collisions are selected by a velocity filter and then captured in a detector system which measures their decay. The energy of the emitted helium nuclei serves to identify the atom" (Press Release). This element was only found to have a lifetime of less than 1/1000th of a second. It is expected that soon a heavier version of element 110 that might be more stable, and that lives slightly longer will be developed. Then looking up Darmstadt: Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, Darmstadt became home to many technology companies and research institutes, and has been promoting itself as a "city of science" since 1997. It is well known as a high-tech centre in the vicinity of Frankfurt Airport, with important activities in spacecraft operations (the European Space Operations Centre, European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites), chemistry, pharmacy, information technology, biotechnology, telecommunications (substantial Deutsche Telekom presence) and mechatronics. In 2000, its region also scored Rank 3 amongst 97 German regions in the WirtschaftsWoche test ranking Germany's high-tech regions. So what do you guys think? Do we have something going here?
Juice503 Posted November 25, 2010 Posted November 25, 2010 The fact that it has an incredibly short half-life could have something to do with the brain degeneration of the zombies? Maybe something was put into their heads, but after they bombarded it with the radiation, the half-life was too short, and caused their brains to malfunction? Just a thought. BTW brains for the find.
K1llsteelr Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Well considering die glocke as far as i know was a type of heavy ion accelerator i think your on to something I also find interesting that secret technology that was apparently lost at the end of war seems to keep popping up after the collapse of the berlin wall Don't get me wrong a huge skeptic into these theories but they make interesting reading
GermanZombiefreak Posted November 26, 2010 Posted November 26, 2010 Im almost sure that it has nothing to do with that but here in germany we use 110 for emergency call. Its like 911 in the us...
