Possible reason the DG-2 isnt featured in Kino or Five?

Referring to one of the radios in Der Riese, Maxis was talking about the lack of funding for 'The giant' project. Which was basically the mass production of the wunderwaffe DG-2. Maybe they never had the funding they needed to continue the project! Or maybe because everyone .. uh.. died.

Or it could just be for the sole purpose of introducing some new wonder-weapons. I loved the DG-2 as much as the next guy, but treyarch wouldnt carry that to every map like the ray gun. [even though i want them to at least 1 more time ]

Very interesting theory, but it's highly likely that the DG-2 was lost in the time travel from Der Riese to Kino. Richtofen's transmission at the beginning when you play on solo, refers to the "MGT being capable of time travel". Likely because the DG-2's huge source of 115 power overloaded the MGT.

But still, interesting theory.

They probably took it away to prevent a plot hole since obviously u can't time travel and since the dg2 can allow you to time travel they removed it to prevent a plot hole like "hey I got the dg2 why can't I time travel?"

I think that since theres only one Wunderwaffle DG-2, it is quite possible that it was "Lost" or "Stolen" from them :)

In the new radio in the Black Ops edition of Shi No Numa (search around the forum for it), we hear the gang talking about "what the hell just happened!" and we hear Richtofen talking about how the DG-2 must have overloaded the teleporter sending them all forward in time. It is quite possible that the Wunderwaffe either:

A) Exploded from the overload in power or

Was lost during the time travel. We know for a fact that we start each map with nothing but a pistol- our weapons from the previous map mysteriously gone.

Either way, I don't think we'll be seeing the Wunderwaffe anymore. :cry:
