i agree i was shocked to see it and its not just the once its posted. i have a 7 yr old daughter which if she was standing next to me as i scroll down the page and she sees that i would be embarrassed. and would not know how to begin to explain to her what it is. im sure theres active members on this site who would not mind helping out.but something needs to be done about it

It just gets in the way - plus the stuff this spamming asshole has been posting doesn't even make sense to me because I don't even read Russian. We have actually been calling for some kind of a resolution recently.

Carbon planned to make another mod before black ops, but that never materialized. Part of the problem is the times the mods are limited to checking, I know the morning EST time can pretty spammy.

I asked other members to try to report it as soon as they see it, but the bots still seem to get to it. I also suggested that an instant ban on the bots would help. no news on that.

I think if a mod is reading this, you should make yourself the better person and make a statement about this problem :)

what would be much better is if a uk member became a mod, (eg mikeh12) who is on alot of the time, and could use insta bans (maybe not permanment so as if anyone who get banned accidently can be un banned bu then there could be an option to perma ban after that

also i think that codz should be saving for a new protection upgrade...

also, i was thinking of making strwrs and triix to have the abillity to temp ban accounts, which could then be banned by a full mod but will not be allowed back on untill the case is solved.

or make strwrs and triix full mods and make members like mikeh12 and undeadwolfy the new ps3 ambassidors?...

I think we should first look at the issue of bots getting past the registration process.

We need something like this http://www.captcha.net/, the is a mod for phpbb (this forum software), available somewhere. At least having that during the registration process will limit the bot/spam.

Yeah, I remember that. I volunteered because I have moderator experience but then I decided I didn't care and since it was just before the release of Black Ops, my job would entail plugging leaks, and I REALLY didn't want to have to even look at them and spoil the plot for myself.
