Let's relate this huge easter egg to the fly trap from derriese. it does nothing and is just something to do for the player. maybe treyarch just likes to mess with us

I'd agree..

except the audio files that continue and how it directly involves a now present character in the story and experiments in 115...

If it were irrelevant, then they completly mislead the community and Treyarch knows and respects the communities existance.. I doubt they'd intend to EVER mislead us in the story in anyway... as the structure of the story so far put together by them is also important to them.

The fly trap might not do anything for us, but it is just another way to remind us that Sam is screwing with us.

I also agree with the person above me, 3arc respects this community, and I do not think they would mislead us unless they had a VERY good reason.
