Just fyi, you can make them explode with your M1911 Pistol too Pretty much any bullet will make it explode, it does not require a death machine. I don't think this has much to do with it IMO.

Extinguisers are all over the map. I know there's one next to the juggernog machine. And there's one inside one of the windows of the first room too I believe. Whether they do anything is doubtful.
