So if Treyarch has new characters then whats the point of Samantha Controlling or trying to kill anything?

also I think she was out to kill JUST richtoffen, then our actual heroes banded up with him, and then the EVIL side of her took over her, regarding alpha's theory... and i guess she's trying to kill all of them now, the new characters could just be a side- like five or part of the story
