New CoDz Server...?

Hi.. i'll just get straight to it. CoDz needs a new server provider. The current one takes nearly a minute to load a new page of a thread. I've never had to work with high-bandwith sites before, and I havent used this provider, but i definatly think this provider is worth checking out:

well were actually discussing about having a private server, by raising enoguth money for a computer capable of running the server, but you should know about this by knwo , you've been helping with it *cough* sixpack-o-perks *cough* ;)

yeah , but a private server powerful enough to handle tens-of-thousands of page requests a day is certainly a pretty penny , im guessing somewhere in the $1000-1500 range. and then you need a VERY fast internet connction to handle hundreds of simultanious queries, somewhere around 1mb+ up a sec? and upload speeds are where they get you, 1mb down is fairly easy, going up is a bit harder :D

Their rolling out 50mb fibre optic in my area at the moment...

Carbon should be able to get this too.

Lets hope some one with a heavy wallet falls in love with the Sixpacks.

$1500-2000 isn't out of the question in terms of raising cash.

Haha, I could sell my car and buy carbon a new server, but I would want a partnership in CoDz.

I don't think Carbon would give it up, so I'll help him in any other way I can.

The host that I use for www.chaosdropzone.com is http://www.hosting24.com/ and they are absolutely fantastic. Have never yet had a problem with their services. The nice thing is that it's fairly cheap and you get pretty much everything unlimited. :)
