Here's an idea. What if this gun turns the zombies to humans temporarily? And then you can kill them easier? Like the big dot in Pac Man turns the ghosts eatable. It would make sense in a way.

or has someone else has already said on this forum: maybe the gun turns zombies back into humans. they can then somewhat fight back against the zombies and have a monkey bomb effect and attract all the zombies. all theories and speculation though :D

I actually have something to disprove that. In the CotD trailer, after the screen goes black, and appears Trejo with his machetes slicing ordinary people's heads off.

Or maybe it turns a zombie(s) into humans for a second or perm so that other zombies will go after them.. like Monkey Bombs but not..
