Richtofen, Dempsy, Takeo, and Nikolai locked in Map

While running around near the lighthouse (actually by a vault down stairs from lighthouse) you can hear our four heros locked away in a dark room! They are calling to be let out and that it is dark in hear. Any one else heard this or have been able to get to them?

The only thing that comes to my head when I see this is how in the Inside xbox video, someone said to "shoot everything" and that it might uncover something

There's a little control panel outside the door with numbered buttons. I've also noticed a few dials around the map with numbers around them too. Maybe they're connected somehow.

the numbers needed to be pressed could maybe be the ones on the lander keypad in ascension. In the order of lightest amount of blood to darkest(freshest).

I think I found the first part to the easter egg. There is a capsule like object on the table next to the Phd Flopper. You can pick it up and put it into the panel next to the door they are trapped in.
