Objects in the ground you can interact with

Hi, I found 4 (for now) little metallic domes. I can remember one is near the lighthouse. If you press X you can hear 4 different tones of a strange sound (like the sound of the chimneys of a big boat, sorry if I'm not too clear). Maybe they are connected to the 4 generators you have to blow up!

I thought the same thing, but they don't entirely match... What else could they be? (Sorry if I make some mistakes with the language.. I'm Italian! )

That may be, but in what order? there seems to be no way to tell them apart aside from sound.
