Teleporter noise when getting the Ray Gun..

Anyone else notice this when they're playing?? I played twice today and heard it both times I pulled the Ray Gun from the box. Same teleporter noise you hear when you teleport into a level or when you send the guys to Paradise.

But I know you don't have to use the Ray Gun in the Easter Egg, so I find it kinda strange it'd make that noise when you pulled it from the box. I think that happened in Ascension when you got one of the weapons for the EE, right?

Anyone else hear this when they're playing? Any thoughts?

Yeah its been happening on every map. I think it just signifies the awesomeness of the ray gun

I think its to tell all players that someone has the ray gun, as everyone can hear the noise regardless of where they are on the map.
