In the Ascension poster Dempsey is holding a Wunderwaffe DG-2, Nikolai is holding a Ray Gun, Takeo is holding a Winter's Howl, and Richtofen is holding a Thundergun. However the DG-2 is German, the Ray Gun is Japanese, the Winter's Howl is American, and the Thundergun is Russian. It should be:

Dempsey - Winter's Howl

Nikolai - Thundergun

Takeo - Ray Gun

Richtofen - Wunderwaffe DG-2

Any reason why the order is messed up? Or am I just over thinking this and it's just a poster?

I think that the ray gun has the seal of the emperor somewhere, but I'm not sure.

However it's interesting that the order is correct, but everyone has the right one's weapon.

Maybe a hint?

Wrong. The Raygun is of Japanese design according to the CIA servers.

Yeah there is but there is also a Thundergun on a table in Five. Anyway, the Ray Gun is Japanese but you can think whatever you want to think.

dudes the Raygun is German, its says Dr Maxis made it in the CIA Documents,but the quote from JFK in Five when he gets the raygun is suttin like “ahh brings me back to roswell” which suggests that the Raygun could actually be Alien which made Dr maxis try to make his own, the one in five would be the one they got from roswell and finally explain the weird voices you here when you get the raygun in the 2nd mission in World at War

Yes,but the blueprints for the Raygun originates from Japan,or more precisely Shi No Numa wich was a Japanese facillity before it was taken over by the Germans.
