Why PHD Flopper?

I'm not being stupid or dumb, but I'm wondering why loads of cod players advise to get PHD flopper as a perk. I know about the splash but does it do anything else? I always hear people saying if you get a ray gun get phd or Its good to have for the higher rounds.

flops are heavily effective against a horde. one or two flops will take out 15-20 zombies up until round thirty or so. conserving ammo and funny as hell!

Well i always get it because if i get a Ray gun or Scavenger and Pack a Punch them i can't down myself.

It is very Handy when you get Corned to shoot your feet to free Yourself with the Ray gun, or when you are running Circles to just shoot the Scavenger behind you (Pack a Punched) without getting Almost blinded and Downed.

Next time try PAP'ing your pistol and use it without PHD.

PhD Flopper is the second perk I get, everytime, because my favourite guns are Ray Gun + Scavenger. I'd be constantly downing myself

And that is the reason to buy PHD. Flopping itself is very dangerous, cause it doesn't work from time to time which will then instantly kill you.

For CotD, I prefer to have Flopper for two main reasons: Saves you one hell of a freak out for downing yourself because of Ray Gun/Scavenger/Doll/Semtex heavy situations, and for sneaking away when you're atop the Lighthouse.

Yea I know you have the Zipline, but if you open certain doors and you don't feel like sending yourself all the way to the far boat, you can go to the top and just run off the ledge without tossing yourself onto the Zipline and you have some breathing room to run somewhere or reload your ammo and such.

what they both said above + another important feature is "takes no falling damage". You can jump from top of light house and still survive.

This is the first perk I get in case I go down and some one revives me.

So PHD Flopper + Mustang /sally will take me to Juggernaught that way I can blast any zombies on my way there. There are countless times I went down trying to save myself from that one hit and not being able to shoot them down if I get Jug first.
