CoTD Easter Egg- Last Step HELP!

As far as my knowledge goes, the last step is to fire explosives at the man as he rises into the green light until he explodes and drops the Vril Generator. 2 China Lakes a LAW and a Ray Gun didn't do the trick. 4 times... Am I missing out something here?

You dont have to fire explosives that actually would make it harder to aim, just use any high damage weapons. I used a galil and my friend used a scavenger and we managed to kill him near the top.

Most guns will suffice :)

I can usually get him with a well placed matroshka doll, but a scavenger shot should do the trick as well; just throw/fire it at the ground in the light right as he gets to it, and he should die.
